Quest

I worked for 3 weeks strait to reduce the local fly and insect population. I had gained 23 XP and had only 12 XP to go before my next Evolution. I had used my |Augment| skill rarely, to fight the little pests, but I still increased my height to 30cm, giving me +3 Vitality, and my skill reached lv.2 . The other skills; |Vine creation|, |Iron Bark| and |Bullet Thorns| reached lv.4 .

Somehow I adopted a new hobby in my free time, when I wasn't killing insects.

Eavesdropping.

I don't know why I have not thought about that until now, but it was dumb I didn't. I was able to learn the quite complicated language of the local two-legged to some extent. Learning the language had two really nice benefits. The first one was the passive skill |languages|. The |language| skill increases the overall learning speed of languages and has something called a sub-skill. Sub-skills describe a more specific variety, if a skill would be too useful otherwise. Apparently the language the locals speak is |Elhaine Elvish|.

Elhaine is a forrest named after the first Elven Queen and home of two Elven sub-races. Wood-elves and High-elves. Wood-elves are very aligned with nature and are in general more reserved than High-elves. High-elves are more outgoing and make up the royalty of the Nation.

Elves commonly have long ears, are thin and are good with Bows and Magic. There are 6 known elven sub-races; Wood-elves, High-elves, Dark-elves, Blood-elves, Wrath-elves and Eldran-elves.

The second benefit was something I really wanted. An Achievement.

|Achievement: Scholar

Requirements: You learned the language skill on your own

Reward: 1 Evolution point, +2 Wisdom|

'I am ready let's. f*cking. go'

|Skill learned:|Senses| |

|Sub-skill learned:|Sight|, |Touch| |

My mind got suddenly bombarded by a huge amount of Information. I first started to see the outlines of the environment. Tall trees about 100 meters, hundreds of people walking on huge branches, over 50 meters above the ground, Big flying Vehicles, gigantic Mansions and houses and I right in the middle. I got planted on another Huge tree far above anything else. Behind me was the biggest Mansion I could see. It was just too big to be called a Mansion.

'If I remember correctly the elves had a word for this...Ah yes a Palace!'

After around 3 seconds, I started to see colors. Only slightly in the beginning but soon, I was overwhelmed by a world filled with green. The people's clothes were green, the vehicles, the trees even the houses were green. The second most common color seemed to be yellow. Huge ball-shaped lanterns floated around, the windows had a yellow hue and the parts of the vehicles that were pushed by wind were yellow.

Before I could admire the scenery a notification startled me.

'Huh what the... That is incredible ! I can't believe it ! I will be the mightiest sapling of all times ! This is so worth it. I will do it.'

After 10 minutes of complete bewilderment, because of the Quest that would give me something, to do something I planned anyways, I calmed down.

'let's keep annihilating insects. I am so excited to gain my new Evolution. Everything is working so smooth I love it.'

---------------

After 10 days I was finally able to choose my Evolution. Evolution options, have ranks; Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic.

For Humanoids they are called Jobs. Around 60% of the Population have Common rank Jobs like; Farmer, Beggar, Thief, Servant and Soldier. Around 24% are Uncommon, for Example: Farm-Owner, Swordsman, Adventurer, Guard. Only around 4% have rare Jobs like: Mage, Knight, Noble, Military Commander.

Around 1.9% have Epic ranked Jobs, like; Prince, King, Royal Guard, General, Archmage, High-Priest. There are only 2 well-known examples for Legendary Jobs and these are Pope and Emperor. Mythic has never been reached by Humanoids and the only historically known creatures that have reached that Level are the Spirit King and the Chaos Dragon.
