9 The Monster

"Have you heard?"

"What?"

"That the captain beat everybody in the training area because some idiot chellenged him. Calling him, and I quote "Noob that cant do anything without his titan."

"Wow. Even Jerry from the cafeteria is not that stupid."

"I know right! I said the exact same thing."

"By the way have you seen the New grenades?"

"What? They have New grenades?"

"Yea dude. Apparently the Captain gave many New ideas to the research department. they only gave selected People the New prototypes. But damn you should've see it in action."

"What does it do?"

"It has two modes. one lethal, one non-lethal. In non-lethal, It creates loud sounds that disturbs the enemy possibly making them lose consciousness. But when it comes to lethal, hohoho. You dont want to see the videos i'll tell you that much."

"Damn. Now I want to try it myself."

"I have one myself. Here look."

"Woow."

*Running sounds*

After hearing something running, both guards stopped and aimed their guns at the direction that sound was coming from.

"Do you hear that?"

"Sounds like a dog running. But faster."

"Get ready. We dont know what is in this planet."

"Yea."

Suddenly a strange monster jumps over the fences. It had 4 legs and looked like a Wolf but was bigger, had 4 eyes and 6 tails. It's skin was like the surface of a water and was dripping a strange liquid from it.

"Shoot it!" both guards start to fire but the monster dodges some bullets while acts not affected by others.

"Command we have a strange monster at north West! It looks like some kind of a infected monster! We might need the Fox team!"

"This is Command. Sending support to your area. Hang on tight."

The monster jumped on one of the guards and try to bite his head. But the guard was defending himself with his gun. But the monster managed to stab his legs with its tail to prevent him from running.

The other guard got close and hit the monster in the head with a powerfull kick. "Get off him you fucker!"

"Thanks! Fucker got my legs!"

"You can thank me later!" they started to shoot the monster again. The monster seem to be unfazed by the bullets.

"We are going to be a dog food at this rate!"

"Damn it! Take this!" the guard threw the sonic bomb to the monster in lethal mode.

The bomb landed near the monster and activated. The loud sound coming out from the bomb seem to affect the monster and it screech in pain. Seemingly not phased by the act, two guards continue shooting the monster. The back up from the command arrived and they shot the monster too. After a while, The monster finally stoped moving and fell down.

Some strange liquid came out of the monster and tried to escape to the forest. But a soldier from the Fox Team noticed this and quickly captured the strange creature in a closed off container.

"Sir, I found a strange liquid that may have intelligence."

The Fox team Leader aproached the container that has the strange liquid. "Better send it to the containment area. Good job."

The guard who threw the sonic bomb, walked towards it and picked it up. "Well this is convenient."

-Captains quarters-

Now on to the most important thing. Naming the ship and the monarch. Hmm. Monarch was my first titan, first AI of my first ship.....

"How about Eve? I know Its kinda uncreative but I think it suits you best. Because you were the first for me."

{I would be honored captain. From now on my name is Eve.}

And now the ship... Hmm how about Opportunity? Because I have a new life and New opportunities that comes with it.

"The ships name is Opportunity."

{Wonderfull name captain.}

Suddenly alarms went off on my tablet. Some strange monster was attacking the two guards that were patrolling the area. I watched how the entire thing went down. I just had some suspicions. But they were confirmed when I saw something trying to leave the wolfs body. I analyzed every animal file about this planet and prepeared plans to take care every one of them just in case.

But that thing was not in the files. It looked infected and crazy with strange liquid dripping down from it. So I told the Fox team to bring containers and hazard suits just in case. We need to be extra carefull with that thing. If it breaks containment, it can possibly infect and kill many People before being stopped.

I made my way to the containment area to see what was that thing.

{Sir, Dr.Kermin is asking for permition to examine the thing we extranted from the Wolf.}

"Tell him that he can do it in his Dreams."

I made my way through the corridor while hearing some gossips. Honestly walking through these corridors is my only Joy in life. I get to hear many interesting things.

2 girls:

"Wow. Captain looks so handsome."

"They really match each other."

"Who?"

"What? Havent you heard? There is a rumor that Captain and Crimson Death are dating!"

"What?! No way!"

"And she didnt even refuzed it when we asked her about it!"

"Aww."

"What happened?"

"I thought I had a chance."

"Heh in your Dreams."

Crimson death? Do they mean Neith? And she didnt refused? Hmm. Who knows, I might just have the chance.

In a distance, I could see a soldier infront of Neith. Asking her about something. "Okay. Here goes nothing. Ma'am Neith. Is it true that Captain and you two are dating?" asked the male soldier.

*BOOM* And in the next second, Neith made the soldiers head one with the wall.

One second there was a soldier, now there is none. Hmm. I think they were calling me from the research department. I slowly turn the corner and act as if nothing happened. Ignorance is such a bliss isnt it.

/Neith Pov/

This is the 25th time someone asked me this. Its getting pretty anoying. just because I picked the Captains side from the start doesnt means we should be dating.

I dont mind dating him but I dont know his personality yet. I look upto him because everything he did in the simulation but dating and being a soldier are two different things.

I look infront of me to answer the soldier who asked the question. Even though its 25th time, it doesnt means that they shouldn't know. I am a mercifull Pilot after all. Huh? Where did he go? Oh well, I guess I was talking to myself longer than I thought.

/MC Pov/

The containment area Doors opens and I am greeted by a anti containment shower. Should've expected it. Well at least the clothes are nanotech so they dont hold water.

"Ah captain! Perfect timing! You should see this speciment!" A scientist came and leaded me through various places and then stopped at the black liquids chamber.

"This strange liquid as you May call is actually a parasyte! It attaches into a host and enhances Its power, speed, reflexes, and senses. But It is quite vulnerable to fire and sound, something to overstimulate the senses that were enchanted!"

Hmm. This thing awfully resembles venom. Everything the Scientist said was perfect match for the venom symbiote." How did you get these results this Fast?"

"Well sir we analyzed the camera footage and compared to the normal wolfs from the planet."

That makes sense. Let me ask it a question to see if it really is a symbiote or something. "Hey can you understand me"

"With all due respect sir, I dont think a parasyte has the ability to-"

"rElEaSe mE!"

"Oh my God! It spoke!" the scientist acted like its the end of the world.

"What are you?" I asked even though I was sure, I still needed to confirm it.

"I am a being beyond your comprehension! Now release me or hive will kill you all!"

"Eve give everyone sonic bombs and increase the security."

{Yes Captain}

"And you. Make sure that this thing loses its ability to think." I said to the scientist.

"B- But sir! This is an invredible speciment! We cant just-" I cut him off before he can say anything more.

"If you do this, I will bring you more of those. After losing its ability to think, do what ever you can to understand how it works."

"Yes sir!"

So its confirmed. Its a Symbiote. They are Just lackeys of knull. If I can somehow remove their personalities and change it so it will obey me, I can get Super pilots that can take on titans with ease. But need to do something about its vulnerabilities.

Wait a second... If there are Symbiotes, that means I am in the Marvel universe! I can get so much powerfull Abilities for my crew and me! Wait what date is it? System?

Thank god I still have time before the cannon. Imagine what can I do with multiple ironman reactors stacked on top of each other and used as a reactor for a titan. Infinite energy I tell you! Well maybe not infinite but you get my point.
