Chapter 10: Meeting The Mothers

A month later, Akira told them that he could teach them how to control Ki, the power of lifeforce of all living beings. Some cadets were waiting for Akira's training, but it was a month now, and Akira hadn't picked any of them yet.

Right now, the cadets have physical training that is being set up by Keith. Every cadet has their own sparring partner. Keith has something else to do, so he gives Akira in charge.

Akira saw some cadets slack off during some of the training, and he didn't want that. He walks closer toward the cadet, and before they can say a word. Akira straight punches the cadet in the face and makes a full-swing kick toward the cadet's sparring partner, almost knocking the two out of service.

Akira turned his head toward the cadet as he said in a cold tone, "Now, did you see why you need physical training?" Akira notices almost all the cadets look at him, scared of him.

"LISTED SOLDIER! IN THIS WORLD, PEOPLE AREN'T ANGELS, AND SOMETIMES, THEY ALSO CAN BE YOUR ENEMIES! SO GO BACK TO ROUTINE, OR I WILL COME THERE AND SMASH YOUR FACES ONE BY ONE!" Akira screamed as the word separated all cadets back to their training; Akira sighed in disappointment and continued watching their training.

About 2 hours later, some cadets were exhausted, and some were still standing; one cadet caught Akira's eyes. Annie knocked Erin multiple times, But Erin always got back up and fought her again until Erin was down nine times. This time, Erin didn't go up or stand up; she stayed on her ground, exhausted.

Erin rubbed her top head as she said, "Damn Annie, you good at this..." Then they saw a blond man walk toward the girls.

Reiner chuckled as he said, "Erin, it can't be that hard, or you just didn't good enough."

Erin has a tick vein on the side forehead. "Oh yeah!? Why don't you go ahead and spar with her!"

The blond man turns to Annie. "Annie, do you mind?"

Annie did not say a word as she was on her fighting stands, and Reiner charged at her, but just in a split second, Reiner was upside down, the same as Erin had before.

Akira chuckles at this and covers his mouth with a single hand. Annie saw Akira as she walked toward him with a glare.

"Akira... I challenge you to fight me." Annie said with a glare.

The blue-haired instructor looked at her with wide eyes like, 'Is she serious?' as he said, "It's Instructor Akira to you, and why?"

"I want proof that your Ki is strong or it's worth training or not," Annie answered.

Akira sighed as he rubbed his temple, "So you want to know if my Ki is strong or not, I'm right?"

Annie nodded and said, "Fight me." She back into her fighting stands while Akria stands there.

Akira sighs as he stands still, "Ready when you are." Annie didn't need to tell twice as she straight jabbed into his face, only dodged with ease. Annie had a low swing kick, but Akira jumped and backflipped away. "That's impressive, Annie; you have fighting skills."

"My father taught me. What about you?" Annie asks.

Akira pointed to himself and said, "Me? Self-taught."

Mikasa and the other cadet have their attention on Akira's fight. Annie once again attacks Akira, but only he dodges all with ease.

Akira smirked, "Too slow..."

Annie growls in anger as she roundhouses kicks Akira's head, and Akira finally decides to stop, dodge and block the attack. He grabs her leg, swings her 360, and slams her to the ground, which makes her gasp in pain.

The blond girl didn't stop there as she finally managed to swing kick with her free leg at Akira and hit his face; Akira let her go as Annie stood up and back into her fighting stands. 

Akira rubs his side face. "Nicely done, Annie, that kinda hurt." He stops rubbing his face.

Annie growled as she said, "Fight me seriously! Don't play around! Fight as you mean it! Show me your true Ki power!"

Suddenly, everyone felt the killing intent come from Akira; Mikasa had felt the same killing intent years ago when Akira had saved her. The scarface didn't only release his Ki this time, unknown to all of them, but he also released his Ultra power inside him.

Almost all cadets were down to their butt. Some of them were pissed in their pants, scared of him. Annie's eyes were wide open as she tightened her guard, and in the blink of an eye, Akira moved super fast, just like he did in the ODM test months ago, straight toward Annie.

The blond girl at the moment she got panic, and then Akira stopped right in front of her. She quickly swings her kick toward Akira, but Akira disappears again. She notices Akira reappear behind her. Annie couldn't do anything right now. As she turned, Akira punched straight toward her; as everything went to slo-mo, Annie saw the deadly punch coming toward her every moment, but Akira's deadly punch stopped an inch before it hit her face.

The wind force of the punch made Annie's hair swipe over, and her hairband broke off, leaving her hair free.

Cadets look at their instructor, scared, and almost all of them are speechless.

"T-That... Ki?" Annie was shocked.

Shadow still covers Akira's eyes, but suddenly, Annie felt Akira tap her forehead as she saw a smile on his face.

Akira smiles, "No, silly... That is my combined power." He reaches for something in his jacket and pulls out a blue hairband. "Here, take this; sorry for breaking your hairband, you know... you cute with free hair."

The blond girl's face got red, and Annie blushed. "G-Give me that!" She takes the hairband, and she walks away with a blush on her face. Mikasa and Erin walk closer to Akira.

Mikasa checks Akira's condition, "Akira, are you okay?!" She worried about him so much. Erin also worried about Akira but not much about Mikasa. The raven-haired girl saw a bruise on Akira's cheek that made her own Killing intense. "I'm gonna kill her!"

Erin and Akira sweatdrop at her exclaim. "Hey, calm down." Said Erin as Akira quickly rubbed his bruise to make it gone.

"Look, it's fine. It is gone already." Akira said with a sheepish smile while sweatdrop a bit

Mikasa saw the bruise was gone, which made her calm down a bit.

Erin sighed, and she asked the light blue-haired instructor. "Um, Akira, when are you gonna teach us about Ki?"

Akira held his chin as he said, "Hmmm, I didn't know... I'll train the one who I see as the potential to... protect the future, I guess? Don't worry; you two are already on my list."

Mikasa looks at Akira as she asks, "So you gonna find more people to teach, huh? I bet Annie is already on your list?" In the last sentence, she says in an annoyed tone.

Akira sweatdrops when he sees the glare from Mikasa as he replies, "Yeah, she is..."

Erin waves the emotion as she asks, "Whatever then... Akira... umm, next weekend Mikasa and me gonna see our mothers. Do you want to join us?"

Mikasa nodded, and she wanted him to meet their mother after what he had done, "I bet they miss you as we do."

The young Ultraman rubs his back hair with thought for a second as Akira smiles. "Sure, why not."

On the weekend, as Akira promises, the girls meet their mothers. Right now, they are standing right in front of the girl's house. Akira has a hoody to cover his hair colour. He didn't like how civilians looked at him like he was an alien, but he is an alien in this world when he thinks back.

"So... both of your mothers decide to stay in the same house?" Akira asks while noticing this area is in Trost District, a town located on the south edge of Wall Rose.

Mikasa and Erin nod as they knock on the main door. "Shira, Mother! we home!"

"Wait for a second!" 

Akira heard the same voice that he didn't hear for years. 

After a few seconds, the door opened, and they saw Mikasa's mother, Shira, the same as before. In a second, Shira saw her daughter and Erin as she hugged them.

Shira let go hug. "Mikasa, Erin, welcome home."

Erin smiles back, "Glad to be home."

Shira notices a tall man behind her girls before saying a word; Carla, Erin's mother, greeted her daughter and Mikasa. Shira wants to get a good look at the man's face that is being noticed by Carla.

"Oh, you both bring a friend with you." Carla looks at the man while Shira gets closer to him. Akira's hoody covered not just his hair but also the top of his face.

Akira smile gave a smile as he said, "Nice to see you both again, Carla and Shira; you both didn't look old even a bit."

Carla looked at Akira, and she didn't know who the man standing behind her daughter was as she asked, "I'm sorry, but do we know you?"

Then Shira covered her mouth in surprise as she saw a scar on his right jaw. The only person she knows that has a scar on his jaw is the boy who saved them years ago.

"Wow, I guess this hoody really covers my Identity," Akira said with a smile.

Shira had tears in her eyes as Akira pulled his hoody off his head and showed them his blue hair while Carla covered her mouth; same as Shira did, she soon had a tear in her eyes.

Akira gave a warm smile, "It's been a long time, Shira, Carla..."

Shira didn't say a word as she suddenly hugged Akira, tears streaming down her face. Carla is the second one to join the hug, tears also streaming down her face.

"Y-You are alive... thank god you are alive..." Shira said while tears fell from her eyes.

Akira hugs them back. After a few minutes, Carla broke her hug she said. "Well, I'll make some dinner, Erin. Can you help me?"

Erin nods as she follows her mother to the kitchen room. Shira still didn't break her hug as Mikasa smiled at her mother, and Akira pulled her into the hug as now they three shared a family hug.

Shira and Mikasa warmly smiled while saying, "Welcome home, Akira..." She and Mikasa tight they hug.

Akira had a warm smile on his face as he didn't feel like this for a long time; he said, "I'm home, Mikasa... Mother..."
