Chapter 14

This weekend, it always rained, Thea didn't go anywhere at that time, she just listened to music in her room all day. She likes to see the raindrops flowing in her bedroom window.

While she was enjoying the songs playing on her playlist, suddenly the phone rang. It's from Luna. Thea ignored the call. But Luna didn't just give up, she kept calling Thea and finally, Thea picked up the phone.

"Why are you ignoring my calls?" Luna said.

"I didn't hear the phone call"

"Whatever, where are you?"

"Home, why?"

"I want to go to your house, can I go there?"

"For what?"

"I'm bored at home, my parents are away with their friends and I'm alone at home" Thea was silent. She didn't say anything.

"Hello, Thea are you still there?" Luna said.

"Yes"

"Ish why are you ignoring me? Can't my voice be heard?"

"it's raining"

"And.."

"I don't want to receive guests"

"You are so mean. Even though I wanted to talk about Noah, Sam said something to me and--"

"I'm going to your apartment now," Thea said and hung up the phone before Luna could say anything.

Thea needs more information about Noah and the truth about the video. She also had to know why Noah did that to Milly if he said Milly wasn't his type. Lots of girls want him because he's rich, it's so easy if he wants sex. But why does it have to be Milly?

Thea walked in the rain to Luna's apartment, it should have been a time for her to relax in bed while listening to her favorite music and sleeping all day long. But she couldn't hear the name of someone she was now starting to hate.

She didn't have any problems with Noah, everything was going well until Milly came and told her everything she felt. Thea shouldn't be this angry, she doesn't know Milly personally, she just heard the story and believed everything she said without finding out the truth.

But Noah's attitude after that made Thea even more sure that he had something to hide and it was related to Milly. Milly's sudden death still shocked her. She didn't know that that afternoon at the school, was the last day she met Milly, and Milly's last words to her were not things she wanted to hear as farewells.

Every day feels like the same day for Thea, not getting better just because time flies by. For her, there is nothing else that can make her happy, the universe seems to curse her with problems that come without end.

The sound of the bell rang, and Luna who was in her living room immediately ran to open the door, she was sure it was Thea.

"Hey come in," Luna said and Thea walked into her unit.

"I came here just to find out about Noah, what did Sam say about him?" Thea said and Luna led her into the room.

"Sit down first, I'll explain everything, but I hope you don't do anything after I say this"

"What do you mean?"

"Thea, I don't want you to have anything to do with something like this."

"About what?" Luna patted her bed, and asked Thea to sit in front of her and Thea did.

"Thea, I know you've never seen me as a friend, but I'm glad that lately, we've been talking more often, even though the discussion is only about Noah and Milly. But that's okay, I see you as my friend, so I don't want you to get hurt just because of a problem--"

"Luna I don't like things like this, it's a waste of my time, tell me what happened?"

"Sam tried to find out about the video, but he couldn't find anything on his phone. But something made him suspicious"

"What?"

"He keeps a lot of photos of Karen in his phone gallery. They were all taken secretly without Karen's knowledge. There's even a photo of Karen and Ethan together. He didn't find anything other than that and hasn't had time to find out more"

"You said only Noah can access his phone"

"Last night Sam took Noah to a bar and Sam got him very drunk, then unlocked his phone with Noah's fingerprints without him knowing. Thea, if this has anything to do with Karen you better stop looking for it here"

"Why?"

"She has everything, friends, money, power, she was born into a rich family. You see how often she bullies students at school, I'm sure many teachers see her but ignore her because her father will always cover up what Karen does with money"

"So?"

"Thea, I know you want to help Milly, but if Karen and Noah work together to do this, your efforts will be meaningless and Milly won't want to see you get hurt just because of her"

"It's the same thing Milly said, she asked me to stop, but what if you were me, You're going to stop just because a lot of people ask you to?"

Luna was silent, she didn't have the right answer to that question. Because she's not Thea, she doesn't know what Thea is thinking in her head, good or bad, only Thea knows.

Now, many questions arise in Thea's head, what is the relationship between Noah and Karen? Why does Noah save so many photos of Karen on his phone? Thea couldn't stop thinking about that, those things weren't her problem but they were all stuck in her mind.
