Chapter III

September 27, 1467 CT

"My Queen. I come with some distressing news from some small settlements within England. It seems that, along with constant attacks by the Chrono Gears, reports of the Chronological Puppets being sighted and abducting adults from their late 20s to their 50s are becoming commonplace. If nothing is done about this, then I feel that all of Europe will be unable to defend itself against a threat worse than the one that started out world's temporal restart."

"Hmm... I see. Thank you Reginald. That will be all. You are dismissed," responded the Queen.

Queen Edith Louise Ainsworth. She is one of two remaining members of the current Temporal British royal family. The family was abundant, but due to...rising complications from the occultic Chronological Puppets and their Chrono Gears, members of the family had lost their lives. This would include the King himself. During this time, a Timetable Knight entered the throne room with troubling news.

"Sir Isaac Cain," the Queen greeted. "What can seems to be the issue?"

Isaac responds as he removes his helmet, "My Queen. It's your daughter. She has left her room and fled the royal grounds."

"(Sigh) Again? Any idea where and why she's heading out?"

"My knights had checked her quarters and found that she's been researching the fabled Time Keepers. It would appear that she's still obsessing over the watch with the missing minute hand. And according to her findings, she's heading towards Sormest."

"That's a two day trek by horse. I highly doubt my own daughter had trouble leaving."

"...Apparently not. I fear that, because of the recent commotion, there was no way of knowing what she was doing. I fear that her small adventure will catch the attention of a Chrono Gear, much like the-"

"Commander! Watch your tongue!"

"Apologies, my Queen. I mean no disrespect. The King, God bless his soul, rests up on high hoping that his daughter is safe."

"I know. She is a lot like him. That is what scares me more than anything."

"My Queen, I'm certain she will be safe. Until then, one of knights or a soldier should be able to escort her back to the royal castle once they find her."

"Thank you. You are dismissed if you have no other news."

As Isaac departed, the Queen thought about the problems at hand. Chrono Gears: monstrosities that had started to appear more frequently. The Chronological Puppets: the cult group responsible for them. And then there's the fabled Time Keepers and their watches. So much that didn't really make sense. So much that troubled the Queen. But the one thing that she couldn't piece together was her daughter's choice of destination. The small town of Sormest. What is she hoping to find their?
