Chapter 44: Information is Power

The breakfast was ready, and numerous members of Undertaker ate it with smiles on their faces. Ayase was confused by this; she also tasted the breakfast and wondered how such a simple dish could taste so good.

As they finished breakfast, they learned that the chef was the monster they picked up the day before. They couldn't help but question the food, but they had to admit it was very good. Even Inori's bad mood improved with the meal, successfully achieving Yuki's goal—there's no maiden who doesn't fall for good food.

"I see you're feeling better."

Gai was surprised; he looked at Yuki's body, and most of the crystals on him had disappeared.

"Yes, a little rest was necessary."

Touching his head in embarrassment, Yuki responded.

Shibungi frowned upon seeing this; Yuki's body was a mystery.

"I understand."

Gai closed his eyes for a moment before opening them.

"I apologize if I'm being rude, but what are you?"

This was one of the most important questions, and it was also what Gai wanted to know the most; after all, Yuki was a mystery.

Inori couldn't help but turn her gaze to Yuki, who was beside her.

Yuki, on the other hand, didn't mind this question.

"What am I? Well, it's the first time someone asked me that, but don't worry, I'm a human like all of you."

Removing his mask, Yuki looked at all the present members of Undertaker, who, in turn, opened their eyes with multiple reactions.

Tsugumi's eyes lit up when she saw Yuki's face.

(He's even more handsome than I thought!)

She had thought of several things, why Yuki hid his face. She thought it might be a defect in his body or maybe a scar on his face. But now, looking at him, he was just a cute boy.

Ayase smiled bitterly; no matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't connect this cute boy with the bloodthirsty beast from last night. It was too unreal.

"I see you're still very young."

Gai just smiled at his face; he thought Yuki would refuse to show his face, but the fact that he did it without being asked surprised him.

"Yes, I'm 12 years old after all."

Yuki didn't mind showing his face. He had been using the Anbu mask since he was young, and he had gotten used to it. It might be a problem if he showed his face, as there could be a traitor among the members, but even that didn't bother Yuki. After all, he wasn't a person of this world.

"12 years old?! You're younger than me!"

Tsugumi's eyes lit up when she found out; she was one of the youngest in the group, always being the smallest. Now she found out that there was someone younger than her. She couldn't help but let her smile widen.

(Wait, that means... Am I the older sister?)

Tsugumi's mind wandered, and she looked at Yuki with heart-shaped eyes.

Yuki shivered at that look; now he finally understood the power of a Shota.

Ayase also had many problems; she now changed the way she saw Yuki. The fact that he cooked very well, was a cute boy, putting aside his aggressive side, he was the perfect little brother.

Now they were experiencing the same thing as Tsunade, who, no matter how annoying the boy was, wouldn't let him go.

Argos, on the other hand, looked at Inori.

(Does she like younger guys?) This was the only thing on Argos's mind. He had seen the lovebirds the night before.

*Cough cough.

Faking a cough, Gai looked at the female members of his group, feeling very depressed. This boy hadn't been here for a day, and he had used his charm on them. He looked at Yuki and wondered if he did it on purpose.

"Setting that aside, you are the King, if I'm not mistaken."

Pointing to his right hand, there was a symbol drawn on it. Yuki also saw the tattoo on his right hand.

"This was a power that was intended for my use, but... Not everything goes as planned."

Shaking his head, Gai could only sigh. It was a fact that Inori gave this power to Yuki.

"If you don't mind, I'd like you to work with us."

Looking into Gai's serious eyes, Yuki nodded.

"I don't mind; I'm here for Inori, and I'll use all my power to help Inori."

Yuki turned his head and met Inori's gaze. There was mutual understanding in that look.

"I understand."

Gai just sighed; what Yuki had said was very clear. He didn't mind helping as long as they didn't become enemies of Inori.

However, this was enough.

"Welcome to Undertaker. For now, let me introduce you to the team..."

"You already know my name, Tsugumi Shibata. I'm the hacker here. From now on, I'm your senpai! Make sure to call me older sister!"

Puffing out her chest proudly, Tsugumi put a hand on her chest. Yuki just smiled at that.

"As you say, Tsugumi."

"It's older sister! Hump." Tsugumi pouted.

"My name is Ayase Shinomiya. We met a while ago; I'm an Endlave pilot. I hope to work with you."

Bowing slightly, Ayase looked at Yuki, who was in his wheelchair.

"Same here; I hope to work with you."

Yuki looked at the girl in the wheelchair; his Sharingan spun, and he could see the problem in her legs. However, he only gestured towards her.

"Oogumo, weapons expert."

"Shibungi..." Shibungi just nodded his head at Yuki without giving more details; the suspicion in his eyes was obvious, but Yuki didn't care about that. After all, if they didn't have suspicions, it only meant they were idiots.

"I'm Argos! That was amazing, destroying the Endlaves. Hey, how did you do it?"

While Shibungi was reserved, Argos looked at him with stars in his eyes; he wanted to know how his small body could have such terrifying power.

"Do you want me to show you?" With a smile on his face, Yuki tempted the young man.

"Of course!" Argos bit the bait immediately. However, not only did he bite the bait, but everyone in the room also did.

"Yuki, you promised." However, Inori didn't agree with that; she looked at him resentfully.

"Don't worry, Inori... I won't make any unnecessary effort."

"...."

Inori just looked at him with her expressionless face before turning her gaze away in defeat.

"Will you?" Tsugumi was very interested.

Ayase also stared at him, waiting for his confirmation.

"Yes... But I'd also like you to help me with something."

"Oh? And what is that?" Gai raised his eyebrows, interested in his request.

"I want all the information you have about the Apocalypse Virus, as well as the goal of this group."

Yuki, of course, didn't beat around the bush; information is power, and he wanted the most information. The one with the most information wins.
