Chapter 33 [BONUS]

After flying for about two minutes, Luffy's group arrived in front of Arlong Park. Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku were there waiting for them, while the other villagers and Nami had returned to the village. They all jumped from the cloud and saw Luffy sweating a bit.

"Are you all right, captain?" Zoro asked, causing everyone to look at Luffy.

"Yeah, I just put too much energy into carrying you all, plus all those cannonballs and gunpowder," Luffy said, causing them to nod their heads.

Luffy then sent a cloud with all the cargo towards the Going Merry, which docked right next to Arlong Park, and dropped the cargo from the marine base on its deck.

Luffy then turned towards Johnny, Yosaku, and Usopp and gave them orders. "Take the ship to the back of the island next to Nami village, Usopp," said Luffy, receiving a salute from him.

"And you two take all the cargo and bring it below deck for storage," said Luffy to Johnny and Yosaku. He then turned towards Sanji, Zoro, and Diane, who then spoke: "We are going to the village; I need a drink, and Zoro needs a doctor," said Luffy.

Zoro was about to protest, but a glare from Luffy silenced him. Before they left, Luffy sent a cloud with all the money up into the sky to wait until he was ready to take it out.

The group then started walking towards the village; as they approached the village, they heard laughter and cheers from the people there.

"It looks like they're having a party." "I wonder what to celebrate," said Diane as she walked beside Luffy. Luffy laughed before speaking.

"Long story, but before we tell you that story—or I'm sure someone in the village will tell you that story—I have one question I want to ask you," Luffy said, making Dian a bit nervous.

"Are you one of the slaves freed by Fisher Tiger?" Luffy asked, causing the woman to flinch. "Don't worry, they will never come back there, and no one will hurt you here." "I just want to know," Luffy said, trying to calm her down. Zoro and Sanji decided to walk closer to the two to hear the story.

"Yeah, right," Diane said, causing Sanji and Zoro's eyes to widen while Luffy didn't show any reaction. "I was captured when I was just a little girl and sold to one of the world's nobles." I remember thinking I was going to die a slave, but one night a fisherman saved me and a group of other slaves. Since then, I've been trying to find my way back to East Blue. It wasn't until a few months ago that I was able to return here, but as soon as I entered East Blue, Nezumi and his men found me on a passenger ship. "When they saw the marks on my body, they took me away and locked me in their base," he said, shaking.

Luffy put his hand on his shoulder before he spoke.

"It's okay, now you're home," said Luffy, pointing at the village. Diane didn't notice, but while they were chatting, they had already arrived at the village. It was the same village he remembered.

Upon seeing Luffy, the entire village started cheering and running towards him with cheerful smiles on their faces. As they were about to surround Luffy, he reached out his hand to stop them. "Before," said Luffy, before he grabbed Zoro by the back of his shirt and pushed him forward.

"He needs a doctor ASAP," he said, causing an old man in a white coat to step forward.

"I'll take care of him," he said, causing Luffy and Sanji to shove a grumbling Zoro towards the man. Luffy then put his hand on Diane's shoulder before he spoke again.

"This is Diane," he said, drawing everyone's attention to her. "She is from this village but was kidnapped a long time ago." "I found her being held captive by the Marines and brought her here," he said, causing everyone to start whispering amongst themselves.

All whispers were interrupted by a woman who came forward and called Dian's name.

"D-Diane?... Is it really you?" said an older woman with tears in her eyes, holding an older man. Diane looked at the two old people and started to cry before she ran over to them and hugged them. Genzo was the next to speak.

"I can't believe it," he said, looking at Diane. "It's been almost 15 years since he was kidnapped," she said, causing Luffy's eyes to widen along with those of many of the younger people in the village.

Before anyone else could say anything sadder, Luffy spoke.

"HEY!" Luffy shouted, causing everyone to stare as he took out a bottle of whiskey. "I thought we were having a party," he said with a big smile that rarely appeared on his face. Everyone then started partying again.

**FOUR DAYS AND AFTER ONE BIG PARTY**

It's been four days since Luffy defeated Arlong. The whole village celebrated their freedom for three straight days without work and had three days of long parties with an all-you-can-eat buffet. During those three days, Zoro got his wounds treated, and everyone in the crew got their long-awaited rest.

Diane had returned Luffy's coat the second day after she washed it. Diane and her parents thanked Luffy over and over for bringing her home.

Luffy kept telling them they didn't need to thank him, but they wouldn't listen. Currently, Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp are on the Going Merry checking the food supplies the villagers gave him along with some orange trees that Nami placed on the ship last night.

Standing on the dock beside the ship are all the villagers: Diane and her parents, along with Genzo and Nojiko. No one had seen Nami all morning, but Luffy knew she would show up any minute. He looked at his crew, who were on board, and spoke.

"You remember the plan, right?" Luffy asked, confusing Sanji since Luffy hadn't told him his plan. Zoro nodded along with Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku.

"huh? What plan?" Sanji asked with a confused look on his face. Luffy laughed before speaking.

"You'll see for yourself," he said before walking to the back of the boat and looking at the villagers, especially at Nojiko. "Hey Nojiko," Luffy called out, getting his attention along with the other residents. "Your sister can be annoying sometimes," Luffy said with a smirk, which caused Nojiko to smile too.

"I might need some help looking after her," said Luffy. Everyone stared at the interaction between the two with smiles, except in Genzo's case, where he looked like someone had just shot his cat.

"Oh, and you want me to help you out so she's not a bother?" Nojiko asked.

"That's right," said Luffy before removing his hat and running his hand through his hair before putting it back on. "Well, if you're interested," said Luffy. Nojiko then assumed a thinking position before answering.

"Okay, you got a new crew member," he said before he got on board. Luffy gave her a strange look before he asked her.

"You're not bringing any clothes or anything," he asked. Nojiko smiled before answering.

"Nami is taking it," he said, causing Luffy to be a little surprised. It was then that Luffy heard Nami scream.
