62 Chapter 61 - The Hole

It took them five hours to dig the crystals, and Xun Wei releases the children from the space with the dog after he imprisoned the lizard. Then Ahbao told his Dad that he still wanted to play with Qiao Bei inside the space. Seeing Qiao Bei smiling, Xun Wei told them to be careful and don't go too far. The children both nodded and happily dragged Cray with them after Xun Wei let them inside the space.

"Do you want us to go deeper?" There is still a tunnel leading to another side. I really can't see what's inside, and maybe there are more crystals?" Xun Wei asked Huang Jin and tried to detect the entire space, but, just like the center of the cave, the place can't be seen.

"Okay," Huang Jin held Xun Wei's hands as they walked and entered the tunnel.

Because the tunnel was dark and can't see the way, Huang Jin pulled flashlights for both of them.

"These crystals messed with our perceptions, and If this is used around our base, I think it's a good thing. But it may end up affecting everyone who will be exposed to it every day," Huang Jin said while checking their surroundings.

" We rather not let just place them in a secure room. It doesn't need to be around the base at all. It can change and not detect the base even if it stays in one place, just like this cave. Then psychics who will be joining us in the near future can use the room to upgrade."

Huang Jin moved his head like a chicken pecking its food. Xun Wei can only laugh and kissed his cheeks.

At the end of the tunnel, they found a vast space, the whole ceiling, like the other place they came from has many crystals, but it was five times larger. The ground had a huge hole, and it was pitch black even with the help of the crystals on the ceiling.

Both Xun Wei and Huang Jin's brows wrinkled. They can't even feel what's inside the hole; They have difficulty in checking the hole because of the crystals.

They can only look at each other.

"It's dark and cold, and I feel there's a vacuum." Huang Jin said while observing the hole.

"And... I feel there's something wrong, and the pressure is suffocating. Huang Jin's face turned pale, and beads of sweat started appearing on his forehead. Huang Jin and Xun Wei can see the fog leaving from their mouth and nose, indicating that the temperature began to fall to minus zero degrees. The whole wall and ceiling of the cave started to freeze.

Without any more choice, Xun Wei decided to wake Zijing from his slumber.

"I'm going to try" Not waiting for Huang Jin's reply Xun Wei already closed his eyes. Seeing his husband's serious face, he stayed silent and guarding him.

"Zijing, wake up."

"Zijing," Xun Wei thought that it would take hours before the dragon wakes up, but he heard the dragon's questions.

Zijing, who was in his human form, was still sleepy looked outside the dimensional space, and his face turned ugly after seeing what's outside.

"Where did you find this place?!" Xun Wei, who was sensitive to the dragon's emotion, recounted the whole story.

The whole cave started to shake; the crystals from the ceiling began to fall down the hole, Huang Jin followed the crystals with his eyes. But because it was too dark, he can only see the crystals falling for a long time before illuminating something on the end of the cave, and the crystals bounce on that something and Huang Jin, who was observing, his eyes turned big.

Xun Wei abruptly opens his eyes, turned to Huang Jin, Huang Jin, who wanted to say that there's something on the hole that didn't have the chance to say it because he was pulled by Xun Wei inside his arms and blink a mile away from the cave.

He can only hope that they can escape and leave the place undetected.

"Stop, this place is good.." the dragon said to Xun Wei. So he stops with Huang Jin on the rooftop of a thirty-story building.

"You can't go inside the cave anymore. That place is forbidden, I don't know how or why you were there, but even I can't also hurt that thing. I'm shocked that that thing is there, we're lucky enough that it was sleeping when you called me. If it's a minute longer, we may die, scratched that.. we will be killed hundred percent—no surviving with that thing as an enemy.

The teen pressed back, feeling the rough stable of Xun Wei's growing beard. Huang Jin closed his eyes at the feel of Xun Wei's warm and fast breath against his skin. Xun Wei skimmed his cheek over the teen's hair, before finally stepping around to press his chess to Huang Jin's back.

"Are we good now?" Huang Jin repeated.

"Yes, we can't go back anymore. Do you remember the dragon sleeping inside your dimensional space? I woke him up and asked him what's inside the hole. But Zijing told me to leave the place immediately, and if we're too late, we might die.

That's why I was not able to explain it adequately. It's a miracle that little Qiao Mei was able to survive that place. The dragon told me that the thing living inside the hole was something that he can't even hurt." Xun Wei said the rest of the story to Huang Jin while nestling on his neck and his arms around the teen.

Huang Jin's whole body was rigid. Only after Xun Wei said that everything's okay did he relaxed. He tightened his hold on Xun Wei's arms and breathed deeply. It was close, the danger and disaster of being dead and surviving the place were too closed. The teen was thankful that Xun Wei called the sleeping dragon and asked. If not, he and Xun Wei may end up dead without even experiencing the apocalypse.

Huang Jin shuddered from imagining not escaping and died from that thing.

"Zijing told me that unless the crystals are there, that thing will not wake up, and only outside or foreign aura or force will break its slumber." Xun Wei told the teen as he adjusted his hold and lean-to kissed Huang Jin's lips. The older man wanted to feel the teen's breath and body, and he felt like it was eternity leaving the cave, his body was tight and dared not to breathe until Zijing told him that it was okay.

Xun Wei slowly shifts Huang Jin around and places his arms around Huang Jin's waist. Xun Wei lowered his head and pressed a kiss and bit the flesh on the teen's neck. He kissed again the reddened mark left by his teeth.

He kissed his way along Huang Jin's delicate jaw until he found his mouth. Xun Wei kissed him, plunging his tongue deep and teasing the teen's tongue with his own. Huang Jin was seemed surprised at first, but then he returned Xun Wei's kissed with enthusiasm.

Their lips parted with a moist sound. Carefully Xun Wei released the teen from the hot and scorching kissed. Making sure to keep Huang Jin upright.

Xun Wei can see the teen was docile and unresisting, leaning on him. He was glad that they were lucky to leave the cave. He thought that he can protect the teen from any forces above ground because of his body's upgrade but facing the reality that there are still creatures that, even while sleeping, can make Zijing run for his life.

He needed to get stronger, stronger than Zijing, stronger than that creature sleeping on the cave. Xun Wei gritted his teeth, and his strong arms embraced Huang Jin's waist hard.

While back inside the cave, the shaking stop after the couple escape the place. The crystals started shining and dimming and shining again.

The creature sleeping inside the hole continued its nap, it was dark, but if the couple went down and check the hole, they will see the crystals surrounding the ground and became the bed was the creature sleep. A thick and big rusty chain attached to a big ring was on the neck of the creature, the end of the ring was deeply buried inside the creature's body.

The end of the chains was also buried below the earth.

Bones of small creatures to humans and to large animals surrounded his body.
