63 Chapter 62 - The decision and construction

Country A, somewhere in N City

A month after Huang Jin and Xun Wei's Wedding...

Standing on a plush carpet, surrounded by plants. At first glance, the whole room has an expensive design. A man was holding a glass of whiskey standing beside a full window to ceiling wall watching below, the traffic and people passing by doing their own business as usual.

"Are you sure?" A feminine voice asked.

The man turned around as he watched the lady.

"Yes, It's been a long time for me to be in this country. It's about time to return to Country C as Grandpa's last wish."

"Do you think Mom and Dad will agree? They will only think that you are doing this for Du Feng." The lady said while watching the man in front of her.

"I don't care; if they don't want to agree, then I won't waste my time. Even before meeting Xiofeng, they insist that I married someone they have chosen. Do you think I will allow them to interfere and ruin my relationship with Xiofeng?

I'm done with them always ordering and manipulating my life.

I'm not going to indulge them anymore. It's enough that I gave half of my life to cater to their wishes. And stop them from going further and thinking that they are superior and always see people like a bug that can step on.

Zhang Gu lifted the glass of whisky in his hand and drank it all. He walked over to the sofa and sat down.

"Tell them the information is true. I sold my shares and will leave the country after." Zhang Gu looked at his sister and decided to persuade her to come with him to Country C.

Country C, N County: The Preserve.

After the wedding of Xun Wei and Huang Jin, the parents of both couples and Grandpa Zhou flew straight towards N County.

The preserve was already halfway done after the disasters keep coming and occurring worldwide. Xun Wei told the people in the preserve to work and build faster.

Grandpa Zhou, with the help of Xun Wen, continued to collect and stock up materials. It doesn't matter if there are already warehouses full of materials. They still hoard for the sake of giving a comfortable living experience for their people. By the time they can adjust from the apocalypse, they can live a comfortable life amidst the disaster.

The Xun Father and Mother went busy taking care of the building designated for the hospital. The design of the building was two floors above the ground. The other floors were underground. They designed the place as it is so that they can maximize the whole preserve.

Huang Jun and Hao Wen fixed and supplied the missing materials and workforce for the preserve.

" Did you hear? The earthquake destroyed T City. My sister was at the border, going back to our hometown when the earthquake happens."

"Yes, I also saw what happen on television. It's was huge. No people can survive that."

" I feel that we are too lucky that nothing happens in this place. That's why I'm afraid to go back to my place in X City. My wife told me that they feel the earthquake all the time. I told them to pack up their things and come here. It's better to stay in this city because there's no disaster". The man was eating and stuffing his food while talking and watching the people come and go to the dining hall.

Xun Wen, who was busy sending a message to his brother, also listened to the employee's stories and gossip. He can only shake his head and thank Huang Jin's foresight to let them leave A city and live in the preserve.

He heard from his Grandpa that many people from the disaster-prone areas migrated and looked for any province and city that did not experience Natural disasters for the past months.

They don't have to worry if people occupy part of the city. Because the preserve was already a private property of Huang Jin, his best friend's father made sure that there were no problems. And prevent the government from getting the land back. And give it to the other people who have more benefits that can provide to them.

All the employees know the owner of the preserve did not arrive yet, but the owner's family came in advance. Xun Wen and the Parents were inside the sixth floor of the building. The whole floor was like a penthouse. There are four bedrooms, a kitchen: a living room, and a study for Grandpa Zhou.

The whole building was design for comfort for the entire family of Xun Wei and Huang Jin.

They are only six floors—two basements for supplies and a garage. They will use the first floor as a meeting and reception area.

The second floor was for Xun Wei's team and their family. The third floor is for Xun Wei and Huang Jin.

The fourth floor has two suites, one for Huang Jun and Hao Wen, and the other will be reserved for the future.

The fifth floor is the rest area and playground for the kids. The last floor another storage.

The rooftop was full of solar panels and storage for water.

The fast construction of the preserve made the family relaxed for a while. The planting of fruits and grains and vegetables was located inside the cave as per Huang Jin's instruction.

Because the weather is good, they don't need to worry about winter or rainy days. The whole land inside the cave was like a dimensional space inside Huang Jin, suitable for planting of crops and vegetables.

Xun Wen already hired farmers to take care of the land for planting. And will assure them that they have the right home and environment to live in.

The family did not forget to allocate a school building for children and teens that will soon be living on the preserve. The earth will quickly change, and Zombies, mutant plants, and animals will roam the land. It will not stop them from giving the children hope to live despite the environment.

Huang Jin specifically said that he did not want to let the children suffer, live, and be the child that they are supposed to live as and not a child exposed to the cruelty and harshness of the environment.

If saving a child will lead to a better tomorrow, they will do it in the coming apocalypse, not only the dead people. Not the animals and plants will change.

People who will experience the apocalypse will also change, from bad to good it depends on their principles and beliefs.

Because the preserve was originally a protective forest dedicated to wild animals and preserve endangered animals, Xun Wei did his best to transfer animals from small to large. But mostly animals like chickens, ducks, cows, pigs, goats, sheep and rabbits.

These animals can be easily grazed and can grow without any supervision and take care of them from time to time. And suppose Huang Jin wanted to take out animals from the dimensional space. In that case, he won't attract any red eyes that will endanger his life, even if he will not worry because his power and Xun Wei are stronger enough to protect him.

The only difference in the meat that the preserve and his dimensional space have more aura and the meat from his space can naturally help powers and psychics upgrade and enhance their abilities.

Because of the natural disasters that keep on happening outside the N County, all employees from construction and management were busy finishing their jobs ahead of time.

The security became harder; employees need ID's to get in and outside. A month before Huang Jin and Xun Wei married, the walls were already built that separates them from outside of the preserve. The Reinforced steel and concrete and its thickness will ensure the safety of the people inside the preserve. This preserve will soon turn into an impenetrable Base Camp from all kinds of predators that may come or pass the base because of the barrier.

The Yang's, the family close with the Xun's, also gathered and joined them in getting ready for the apocalypse. The Xun's was not stingy in telling them the whole truth. But did not tell them that the information came from Huang Jin, if ever some

people with bas intentions may want to harm him.

In any case, after the apocalypse, things will change, and they will be busier in surviving than investigating the truth of the information.

Ever since natural disasters keep happening, every country's economy worldwide started to go downhill. Every building and business that gets destroyed. The life that dies or goes missing because of the disasters continues in adding chaos and insecurities to the hearts of the people worldwide.

The government then started to block off the news from spreading because of the signs of panic that began to appear.

In June of 2019, A year before the apocalypse a common cold and fever spread thru all cities and countries worldwide.
