Chapter 59 - Qiao Bei (3)

The first to wake up was Huang Jin, after taking a bath, he went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast. He didn't cook but decided to get their breakfast from the dimensional space.

Huang Jin made a simple breakfast of a bowl of beef congee and rice noodles, A plate of steamed buns, a basket of dough sticks, and soybean milk for the children. There was also a cup of coffee for Xun Wei and green tea for him.

Before waking up the children, he made sure to prepare the things for the kids. Two small bags with snacks and drinks. A backpack for him and Xun Wei. He made sure that towels and food are inside. For the other things, he just needs to place his hands inside the bag to get what he wants inside the dimensional space. He doesn't need to worry if there are missing, now his very grateful that he has the dimensional space.

When he made sure that everything is ready, he went to call up the children and his husband. He already felt Xun Wei wake up and take a bath and afterward went to the children's room. When he went inside the kid's room, he saw Xun Wei dressing up the kids.

He leaned on the door while watching them. There was a smile on his face, Qiao Bei first saw him. The child's face was almost in good condition. There were no more signs of being malnourished. It was better to speed up the child's health and make sure there's no sequela of any disease; every food and drinks that the child ate and drink last night were full of aura, and the drinks came from and made from the lake.

His space was a golden finger. Speaking of the dimensional space this morning before taking a bath, he checked and saw that there was a new water source that suddenly appeared on his dimensional space it was in the form of a small fountain beside the bamboo trees near the three-story wooden house. It was attached to a bamboo tree, and water was coming from the bamboo itself, flowing down to the rocks and the well. The color of the water was cerulean, and he didn't know why the fountain-like well appeared, but he was thankful that the water was clean and safe to drink. He is not sure if it can heal wounds or disease, but he has many chances to try it in this coming apocalypse.

The lake water can wash and change bones and tendons and cleanse the accumulated impurities inside the body of a human being. The lake water can also be opened and give a person a power that is suitable for their body. Just like the peach and apple fruit, the lake water can also promote and upgrade a level the abilities of Psionic and psychic.

Hung Jin did not try the water in the fountain. He wanted to consult with Xun Wei because he feels that his husband knows more about his space than him.

Huang Jin places four gondola shelves beside the fountain-like well and stocked up water in bottles and put them on the shelves for easy taking. Even if people may know of his dimensional space, he's not worried because, after his rebirth, his constitution and physical and powers have upgraded. And the psionic and psychic abilities have low upgrade and will only upgrade after two years of discovering the crystal cores in Zombie, plants and mutant variations.

Huang Jin also remembered that after the upper-level management of the S City discovered the crystal core, they did not immediately use the core because the core was unknown, and it came from inside the zombies head. It was only after the scientists made a series of an experiment that they discovered that the core itself is a source of energy that can be used by psionic and psychic powers.

When the government knew of this, they started to hoard and collect crystal cores through hunting and missions. Giving the 'powers' tasks and rewarding them of goods like food and opportunities to rent or buy a safe place to stay inside the cities by points.

Huang Jin only lamented that the government was too greedy and accumulated hate from the powers after knowing that the crystal core can be used to upgrade their abilities. Many of psionic and psychic protests killed people from the government.

If the government announced and tried to help the powers, they can help each other to survive longer from the harsh environment.

Only they think of eating everything alone and selfishly kills their only chance of survival. Less and less of psionic and psychic powers helped their base, and only a few of them did after their base announce the use of the crystal cores.

Feeling a small hand tugging his clothes, Huang Jin looked down and saw Ahbao smiling and Qiao Bei behind him following him like a tail. Xun Wei was there standing smiling, holding hands with both the kids.

"Done? Let's go eat then explore the mountain." Huang Jin bent down and kissed both the kid's cheeks and said good morning and then turned towards Xun Wei and kissed his lips.

After eating, the family of four immediately went to explore the whole mountain. Because the mountain itself is enormous, it was divided into different activity areas like diving and rock and mountain climbing, etc., amusement park and a beach resort, and an indoor pool inside the Park's villa.

The family tried every amenities in the mountain except those that are not allowed for the children.

In the afternoon, they decided to swim in the sea rented and eat dinner then go back to the cabin before dark.

Watching both kids happy and enjoying the activities, the couple was also delighted.

Before leaving the mountain park, The couple asked Qiao Bei if there any things that are important for him to get in the forest were he stayed. Qiao Bei nodded and brought Huang Jin and Xun Wei and Ahbao.

The Mountain Park is made of one-fourth of the forest, that's why camping is very popular.

Qiao Bei leads them to a cave two kilometers away from the camping site. They thought that Qiao Bei lived in some kind of tent, but it was a hidden cave.

Huang Jin was surprised after entering the cave, because it was well hidden, so even if there is a path that usually campers and management of the Mountain park walks around. They can't see the entrance of the cave.

Qiao Bei leads them to a narrow and small fissure that was covered with bamboo trees and vines. The crack was tight, but a person like Xun Wei can go without effort.

The four people went inside, and the entrance was dark and narrow then continued to expand in a considerable passageway.

Huang Jin and Xun Wei can feel how vast the entire cave is and how long it is. But they decided to see with their own eyes. Both turned into slits like a dragon as they continued to adjust with the darkness of the cave.

"The place is dark because the sunlight can't go inside, so we can only walk for a couple of minutes before going to the center of the cave." Qiao Bei pulled Huang Jin's hand and continued walking.

Seeing Qiao Bei expertly leading them in the passageway. Huang Jin's face turned solemn, and his lips tightened in a straight line. Feeling Huang Jin's emotions, Xun Wei gripped Huang Jin's shoulder.

Because it's dark, Qiao Bei was holding the wall of the cave to guide them to the center. After a couple of minutes, light penetrated their eyes. Huang Jin and Xun Wei's eyes turned back to normal.

The couple was surprised and shocked because the center of the cave was like the cave of memories inside Huang Jin's dimensional space. But instead of memories, the ceiling and the walls of the cave was full of beautiful and bright crystals in a different color.

The center of the cave was like a separated world, and the couple felt that the whole place was full of aura that penetrates inside their body.

Huang Jin only now new why Qiao Bei can be a powerful psychic, after being exposed for how long inside this place and turned into skins and bones. The aura was changing his physical body and giving him the energy to have strong psychic powers. If he is exposed in the long term, he may end up dead because of the exposure.

Huang Jin was mad, and he didn't know who or why this cave came into being. Still, a living and malevolent aura was also residing inside the cave—giving him the idea that the owner of the aura itself has a bad idea for Qiao Bei.

Xun Wei also felt the owner of the evil aura before entering the cave itself. Because he has a sharp and superior ability to feel because of the dragon's contract with him, he can feel that the owner of evil aura even if he's not on the Mountain Park itself.

Only it was hindered with something and cannot be located accurately. Now Xun Wei knew why the crystals itself is used as a camouflage to repel and conceal the location of the cave. If there is no fissure, Xun Wei may not pinpoint the location of the crystals.

Qiao Bei walked to the center of the cave, a small and old mattress was laid on the ground. Four different kinds of books were piled up in the corner of the bed. Two plates, a spoon, and a pair of chopsticks and a plastic cup were arranged on top of a huge flat rock. Clothes were placed on the right corner of the bed.

Huang Jin can see how Qiao Bei lived his life in this cave. He was sad for Qiao Bei and very angry at the family who abandoned the child in the forest.

Qiao Bei started to tell the story of how he came and live inside the cave, and he still remembered that he was seven years old when his family went to Mountain Park. He was small and sick all the time, and his so-called mother said to go to the Mountain park to celebrate his birthday. He thought he could be with his family at last after being busy at work. But he didn't know that was the last day that he can feel his parent's love and grow up alone and abandoned by the parents he loves the most.

Qiao Bei sat on the bed and pulled an old teddy bear that he said that was given to him by his uncle. That uncle was a friend of the family and was not able to come and celebrate his birthday because of an accident. He was sad at the time and gave him the teddy bear to always remember him.

After realizing that he was abandoned in the forest to die by his parents, he cried again. It was cold that day when they came into the Mountain Park. He was small and sick; that's why he had difficulty in finding the way back. After losing hope, he found the cave after how many days of being tired and hungry. Since then, he considered the cave as his home and, from time to time, go to the Park to see if he can find someone resembling his uncle. He still hoped that his uncle was looking for him. He didn't know how long he stayed in the forest, but he counted the night and day and marked them into the wall.

Huang Jin saw the number of marks on the wall and counted them. The counted days made him cold, and his hate for the parents made him grit his teeth and bit his tongue until he can smell the blood.

Xun Wei places Ahbao beside Qiao Bei, and hold Huang Jin's waist, kissed his cheeks and lips. He whispered, 'it's okay.. he's with us now. We will not hurt and abandoned him.'

Huang Jin gripped Xun Wei hard went the bed and took Qiao Bei and place him on his lap, hugged him from behind. Ahbao was leaning on Huang Jin's side, also feeling the emotions on his Papa and Qiao Bei.
