Chapter 48 - Making their own

After a day's rest, they explore the city and famous scenic spots. Because the place was rich in seafood, Xun Wei ordered tons of it. He told the sellers that they need them to be alive and put in Aquarium.

Then he rented a warehouse for the fishes and squids, etc. he ordered and stored them inside.

Huang Jin was busy the whole morning digging holes inside his dimension to make a place for the fishes.

When he saw the beach, he fell in love with it. So he told his husband that he wanted to make their beach inside the dimensional space.

Huang Jin wanted to accommodate all the kinds of sea creatures; that's why he was digging a big enough hole. Naturally, he even went to the beach and transferred trucks full of sands and stones and seashells and also seaweeds.

He also made sure to get more coconut trees for their beach and directly putting the seawater after he finished digging the pit.

Because it was inconvenient with Ahbao around, he told Xun Wei to take the child with him. He wanted to surprise the child after the beach was ready.

It was time that the child needs to know about the dimensional space so that he can put the child inside.

He went outside the space and walk to the beach. When he arrived, he heard a whistle. He listened to the sounds of dolphins.

Huang Jin laughs, when he saw the dolphins approaching, his blue eyes turned bright, and a mischievous planned came into mind. He giggled and waved his jade-like hands and cached the pod of dolphins with the seawaters and transferred them inside the newly made beach.

After making sure that the beach has enough seawater, he removed his clothes and dived to the sea. He wanted to add more sea animals inside his dimension so that Ahbao can enjoy the beach more.

He remembered after the apocalypse happened, the people were not able to travel the sea because of its danger. All living creatures inside the sea were dangerous. They became massive and aggressive, and the creatures made sure that no people can escape alive after setting foot inside the sea.

It was a bloodbath, sea animals like whales and dolphins that was docile and friendly to people became savage and dangerous.

Other sea animals like squids and crabs that were just a palm of a hand became large that they can overwhelm people and eat them.

The sea animals were large, large, and tall as high as 30 feet. It was despair to all the people living near the sea or any body of water for that matter.

At first, when the weather turns to worse, and the virus struck all over the world, they thought it was just a seasonal thing.

But they never imagine that the simple flu ends up the worse thing that could happen.

Just imagining every living thing either from the land, sea, and sky mutate and turned big and dangerous. It was an instinct that the human body possessed. They know that the end of humankind may end up in the lowest food chain.

Huang Jin can still remember the time when he watched on the television. He saw the live report of the network about a huge octopus breaking an equally huge ship into two and sinking the other part. As it's tentacles wrapped the other half of the ship and picked up all the humans inside of it. It was like eating something that it thought was worms, and when it tastes the 'worms,' it decided to eat the rest and plunged his other tentacles to pull the other half of the ship from the sea and eat the rest of the 'worms. The reporter was stuttering, and Huang Jin can hear how afraid and scared the man was every time he delivers the news live while flying on a helicopter.

Huang Jin can still hear the screaming, the crying, and the sound of anguish and despair of all the people on the ship. It was mind-blowing, the rest of the people like him who was watching the news that time was stunned. They thought it was a legend seeing a big octopus-like a Kraken and eating people alive.

Some of them couldn't take it anymore and vomit, and some were crying and praying for God.

The government stopped the live news, and they launched a report that it was just a trailer of a movie, and the people don't need to panic.

The people who were able to watch the news didn't believe it.

Some of them were the relatives of the people who were inside the ship.

They were calling for their family as the octopus was eating them. The emergency hotline was busy taking calls and telling the operators to send troops and army and rescue their family on the sea.

Soon the people on the ship and their family outside post in social media the truth. All the people can see all the posts of hundreds and thousands of calls for help.

The authorities couldn't even stop people from posting what was happening. They mobilized the army from ships and jets to contain the creature.

When the army was able to reach the designated place, they saw the devastation. The military can hear cries full of desperation and hopelessness of all the remaining passengers of the ship.

They were chilled to the bones as the army saw the colossal octopus with its tentacles was still moving and gliding in the sea.

Seeing many flying objects, it began to gets excited. The tentacles were trying to reach for the annoying things surrounding the octopus.

" Bomb it! Bomb it! Don't wait for the orders!"

" Kill it! Don't let it escape! Make sure to blow it to pieces!"

All the soldiers can only hear profanities and swearing within all the communications lines. They were surprised how huge the octopus was. All the people were glued on the television screen as they watched the military bomb the creature.

A piece of the octopus's tentacles was pop off after bombing the creatures continuously. They scream in victory, but they never imagined after the octopus shriek, all the remaining limbs swept and dance like a knife plunging and cutting all the ships and helicopters and jet flying in the sky.

All the television turned static, and a NO SIGNAL flashed through the t.v. The people-watching was silent, then the network posted a warning not to panic and can still go back to their work, but the whole country was quiet on the news about what happened on the sea.

The citizens wanted to know what happen to the creature and the military fighting with it, but seeking answers was never easy. The authorities say that they were able to kill the octopus, but when asked, weres the body of the dead octopus.

The government wasn't able to present it. Too many excuses that the citizens later was beginning to be afraid. They didn't believe what the government says. A few days later, after the signal was cut off, a video surfaced on social media and. All the people were curious, so they clicked on the video and played it.

The people who saw the video can't believe what happen. The octopus after sweeping all the ships and the jets and helicopters in the sky. It ate all of the survivors and went back below the ocean.

The network and the government lied. The video was re-posted all over, and many have already seen it and started a mass panic. By that time the flu already started to come out. The people were nervous about all the events that were happening, but the only thing they can do was follow what the government told them to do.

But after what happened, those people who didn't believe the authorities started to stockpile and hoard food enough for their family to survive. One by one, they go to markets and malls to buy foods in bulk. Some were taking opportunities to rob and kill.

Swimming under the sea, he found many schools of fishes and other sea creatures. He waved his hands to transfer them inside his beach. He also saw many corals, rocks, and starfishes.

He swam dipper and found something below the sea, and he was stunned and thrilled. So he waved his hand again and transferred all the things inside his dimension.

After collecting all the sea creatures that he was able to see under, he blinks into his dimensional space. He wanted to put all the other sea animals they bought and place in the pond last time when they were buying supplies. But he changes his mind, it's better to have another place to put in sea animals so that they can catch them easily.

Seeing the human-made beach he made, he was in a daze. The water started moving like it was alive. Waves and waves rolled towards his feet. Huang Jin can also hear the sound of the birds flying and dolphins.

Strong arms slipped around Huang Jin's waist, drawing him back against it and heard a voice that made his wandering mind to come back.

When Xun Wei finished gathering all the things Huang Jin asked of him, the dad and son went back to the beach house.

He knew that Huang Jin was still inside the Dimensional space because he can feel him inside. After seeing the baby sleeping deeply, he blinked and was inside the dimensional space in seconds.

The first thing he saw was the sea, a sparkling sea a hundred meters away from the Bamboo house.

Xun Wei saw how huge space was as Huang Jin dig the pit to make a human-made beach.

Sands surrounded the beach and big rocks and shells, dotted with coconut trees all over the place. The sea was alive because he can see waves and waves of the seawater beating slowly on the shore.

Xun Wei can also sea a small floating island in the middle of the beach. With a cottage and beach chair and umbrella beside it.

His eyes turned soft as he watches the beautiful man standing there. Shaking his head, he walked quickly towards Huang Jin.

" What are you thinking? I was standing here and calling for you, but you didn't even hear me" As Xun Wei kissed Huang Jin temple.

" Just thinking," Huang Jin told Xun Wei about the mutated sea animals he heard and watched on the news after the apocalypse happened.

" That's.. that's very dangerous." Xun Wei tried to swallow the news and was mulling over the words his wife said when he heard him say, " Do you think we can inform the military ahead of time to let them know?" Trying to think of ways to make it happened.

" We can, but we need to be careful, or else the army will ignore us. I'll tell Grandpa about it. You don't need to worry." Xun Wei kissed Huang Jin again and told him that all the things they ordered were in the warehouses.

Xun Wei turned his head when he heard a sound on the human-made beach. He saw many dolphins jumping and playing. He chuckled as he hugged Huang Jin," Ahbao will be delighted when he sees the dolphins."

" I know. When I saw the dolphins, I laughed and didn't even think about it and took them inside the space. And then I also swim under the sea to collect more. It's better to have more than to waste all the living creatures. I rather not wait for them to mutate and receive them as we go. At least we can enjoy them here inside our space. Ahbao will be happy and enjoy the beach."

Xun Wei nodded as he imagined his son playing like a child that he supposed to be.
