This Game Is Suffering

When an unknown entity claiming to be The Devil offers Izuku the chance to gain the power he's wanted all his life to become a hero, Izuku takes it. Now, Izuku must journey through several potentially horrifying death worlds across the multiverse in search of the fragmented pieces of the Gamer System he was given. This was a deal accepted from The Devil, after all... 3k-Word Long Chapters Minimum. Although, as the Gamer Power's Status and other bullshit gets larger I'll be working on increasing the length of the chapters to keep up with at least 3k-Words for plot development or whatever.

Musutafu City (VII)

"Dude… I didn't know Midoriya could be so… terrifying," Denki Kaminari, was the first to speak after Izuku left.

"Indeed, sir Midoriya has been nothing but a gentleman the entire I've had the pleasure of speaking with him at the dorm," Jurota Shishida responded; surprised, though not to the extent that he was shaken.

"I'm just glad he did something first," Togaru Kamakiri snorted. "I swear I was one or two seconds away from dealing with that insufferable pest, had no one else stepped up to the plate."

As one group discussed Izuku's actions, another formed around Eijiro Kirishima after he said, "My man was manly as hell! Did you see his physique? Midoriya is freaking ripped, bro!"

"Are you gay?" Hanta Sero asked, less in a judgemental way and more out of curiosity.

"I don't have to be gay to appreciate a good physique," Kirishma shrugged. "Midoribro would be a shoo-in if he competed in the Classical Olympia for non-mutants and that's a fact."

Meanwhile, over at the woman's changing room…

"Damn, maybe I should change Midori's nickname from Green Bean to something more hardcore," Mina Ashido commented.

"Yeah, I should probably call him something other than Broccoli Head," Setsuna Tokage added. "I didn't know he could even get mad. He's been super patient with all the nonsense we've done around him."

"I kind of expected it to be honest," Asui said as he finished tying her shoes. "Maybe he went a bit too far, but I can understand it since he's dating Bakugo."

"What?!" More than one woman squealed as they dropped what they were doing and ran over to demand details from both Asui and Katsumi.

"What the fuck, Asui?!" Katsumi immediately grew annoyed with all the attention.

"Call me Tsu," Asui ignored her distress.

"Oh my god, I can't believe the two people who scored the highest on the entrance practical exam, who both beat All Might's record, are a couple! Tell me, tell me, tell me how this happened, pleeease!" Toru Hagakure, an invisible woman, begged.

"Let me. Change. In peace!" Katsumi demanded.

Her request was ignored.

"Good…" Aizawa sighed, looking like he'd pull a week's worth of all-nighters consecutively, "Now, that you're all here we can finally get this over with. Though, I guess I should address the elephant in the room first. Anyone want to tell me what happened between Midoriya and Mineta?"

"Mr. Aizawa, if I may?" Momo Yaoyorozu asked for permission to speak. When Aizawa nodded, interested in what he'd here from someone who shouldn't have even known what was going on, she explained, "Thanks to Jiro's excellent hearing, she found out almost immediately Mineta was planning on looking for peepholes."

"I was about to volunteer myself to go inform you about the situation when she heard Midoriya start confronting Mineta about his actions. With her Quirk, she managed to transmit what was said through the walls and Mineta openly admitted to knowing he was committing sexual harassment. He went into detail about why he didn't care about the repercussions…" Left unsaid was said details, along with the horrifying threats Izuku had made against Mineta.

"Is that about right?" Aizawa narrowed his eyes as he looked at each remaining individual on the field. When he was met with pointed nods and looks of disgust at Mineta's unconscious body, he sighed for the thousanth time, "Great. Not even a day into lectures and it looks like I'm already going to have to file a notice for expulsion."

Aizawa then begrudgingly began Quirk Apprehension Test.

Test 1: Top Speed

All the students in the Hero Class were separated based on their Quirk-Types and further divided to have their highest movement speed tested in the most favorable conditions. For the majority — the ones with Quirks that didn't improve their "normal" human speed — this meant that they ran a fifty-meter dash; their level of fitness being what decided overall rankings. Jiro, Kaminari, Kirishima, Testutetsu, Komori, and Kodai all fell into this camp; to name a few.

There was a section for Mutant Quirk holders like Asui and Shoji. But, the most interesting performances were shown by obvious specialists like Ida, who had jet engines integrated into his legs, and people who used their Quirks creatively like Katsumi and Kuroiro. The former blasted her way across a distance of 250 meters to achieve a top recorded speed of just over Mach 2, while the latter proved to be capable of conditional teleportation as he could instantly skip any length so long as there was a shadow connecting to his destination.

Izuku, even sharing the full kilometer stretch that only Ida had used until his turn came along, only managed to get up to a third of his baseline maximum movement speed. With his legs Draconified, he managed to clock in at Mach 3; a tenth of his fully augmented speed.

Test 2: Force Output

The students lined up within the Hero-reserved gym to the side of the field and one by one they took shots at a specialized "punching machine." The thing was a technological marvel of a sandbag that Aizawa stated could safely register up to half of All Might's full strength before it started to break down.

Of course, most people weren't exactly at their strongest when they punched. So people like Ida kicked the machine, others like Manga screamed at it, and others still like Katsumi had to leverage their explosions to propel their punches — and not directly blow up or otherwise damage the device by elemental or chemical means.

Naturally, people like Shoji, Sato, and Kendo were more than happy to just punch the machine as hard as they possibly could. They managed to score 10%, 15%, and 25% of half a prime All Might punch against the machine respectively.

Then Momo's turn came up and she set up a rail gun that, even when used to shoot a blunted cylindrical piece of tungsten, still almost cleanly pierced through the entire machine. Despite her embarrassment, she got full marks for how quickly she managed to create and fire off that kind of devastating attack.

Izuku, though… Izuku just punched the next iteration of the machine that was brought out after Momo destroyed the first one, and the sheer force of his punch shook the entire building. Needless to say, he broke his machine as well.

Test 3: Reflexive Maneuvers

The next test put the students in an arena within the gym that shot projectiles at them at an increasingly faster rate until their reaction time and dodging abilities failed them. The students were allowed to deflect the projectiles shot at them if they could, but most didn't manage the feat as this was the first time they lacked experience with anything even remotely similar to the test.

The undisputed best performers for this test were Ojiro, Mina, Sero, Ibara, and Setsuna. The first two with their impressive flexibility and similarly trained reflexes, while the last three managed to make the most of their Quirks to stay in the arena for long enough that they only lost once they were being shot at by several launchers, each with a firing rate of at least 500 RPM.

When Izuku's turn came around, everyone finally started accepting the fact that he was just on an entirely different level. He could have remained untouched for the entire length of the test, but near the end of it, he actually chose to start catching some of the projectiles and send them back as a means of defense.

Test 4: Distance/Endurance

After taking a ten-minute break, the students were brought back outside to the field and given trackers to record the distance they each traveled with a time limit of half an hour to go anywhere within the field that they pleased. They were free to use their Quirks in whatever manner they deemed useful, so long as their use didn't impede the others near them.

Ida naturally ran the whole way through at near-sonic speeds. Momo materialized a motorcycle and used it to circle laps around the perimeter of the field. Pony used her horns to fly around for a few minutes until they expired only to sprout new ones and hop right back on. Juzo rode a wave across the ground. And, the less that was said about Uraraka would choose to precisely jump after removing the effects of gravity on her person, only to fall back down and cycle through the process, again and again, the better…

Izuku kept pace with Katsumi as they ran circles around the quarter-kilometer track. On the innermost circle of the ring, Mina slid across puddles of nigh-frictionless acid, while near the other end, Kaminari constantly stimulated his muscles with electricity to sprint the entire way through. The four of them were joined by Aoyama who occasionally used the recoil of his naval laser to propel him a couple dozen meters, and Todoroki took a page out of Juzo's book and surfed an ice that he constantly created before him only to melt behind him.

Test 5: Quirk Application

The last test saw all the students come together to give a demonstration of their Quirk in a way of their choosing. It was the most balance and subjective test that allowed even those whose Quirks had thus far been entirely irrelevant have a chance to compete with the others.

Toru, for example, scored full marks without having to do anything as it became obvious to all how useful her Quirk could be for investigating or spying on villainous organizations. Koji followed suit when he revealed his ability to talk to and summon all kinds of animals within a range of several kilometers; very scary stuff when a simple call manifested hundreds of birds and small rodents.

Yosetsu particularly impressed most people with his ability to fuse things together, while Togaru finally had an excuse to start sprouting off blades off his body. Pretty much everyone managed to find a way to make their Quirks at least situationally useful to an extreme capacity.

Todoroki, though, just used the test to give a show of power as he just waved his hand and manifested a hundred-meter-tall iceberg in the middle of the field. When he was followed up by Izuku who pointed a finger at the iceberg and annihilated it with an instance of a single hyper-condensed High Caliber Argent Bullet, he got pointed looks of annoyance from both Todoroki and Katsumi, who sulked, "...I was going to do that."

"...On what grounds did you place me higher than Yaoyorozu?" Izuku asked as looked at Aizawa with mixed confusion and curiosity. The Heroics Theory professor had just revealed the initial class rankings.

"Absolute physical superiority," Aizawa droned. "Even if she was given time to prepare, there is little she could do to outperform you in just about any heroic pursuit."

"Can you make a nuke?" Izuku blatantly asked the woman in question.

"I wouldn't risk it… But there's no reason my Quirk wouldn't allow it. I know how nuclear weapons operate and what they can be made from, so…"

"Nothing short of a doomsday scenario against a villain that could defeat World Class Heroes would require such measures," Aizawa shrugged. "Class Rankings stay the same."

"...Fair enough," Izuku shrugged right back. Perhaps Momo hadn't shown off the full destructive capabilities of her Quirk… But neither had Izuku come close to revealing the full strength of just the Abilities he had displayed thus far.

The Hero Class was thus dismissed and allowed to change back before retiring to their dorm. Lectures would start the following day, while Aizawa carried Mineta's still unconscious body back with him to sort out the man's situation with the appropriate staff.

"Damn…" Katsumi was more agitated than she'd been in a long time. "Help me blow off some steam with an all-out spar, Izuku," she demanded. "I can't believe I got knocked down from second place in the entrance exam's practical, to fifth place for this shitty Quirk Apprehension Test."

"What can you do?" Izuku said as he patted her on her shoulder, "Momo's Quirk is just too versatile to ignore, Todoroki seems to match up to your level of firepower while in control of two elements, and Monoma can be just as versatile if not even more dangerous than Momo depending on the Quirks around for him to copy."

"Fuck!" She cursed, catching the attention of several of their peers that walked alongside them back to the dorms, "I gotta set up my game and blow them all away!"

"Yeah, just… Don't regret this when you have to get up for lectures tomorrow morning," Izuku said.

She soon entered his ID, fought him as hard as she possibly could, and after an hour, destroyed most of the campus as their "spar" took them all over the illusionary copy of UA.

"You feel better, now?" Izuku snorted humorously as he carried her limp body out of his room and back to hers. Despite the effects of his Healing Dragon's Breath, there was nothing he could do about her current single-digit, almost borderline empty, Stamina.

"...Even in my head, it sounds wrong. But… Blowing you up does wonders as a tool for my stress relief." Katsumi said before she seized up on his back. "God, I sound like a psycho…"

"Hey, better you get rid of your stress on me than on some poor street-mob villain. I can't exactly say I like being treated like an indestructible punching bag; I'm not a masochist. But, at least you give me plenty of practice to get better at dodging and blocking."

"Hmm…" Katsumi hummed, refraining from speaking until Izuku went to set her down on her bed. "W-wait," she grew bashful; very much unlike her usual self. "I should probably take a shower or at least a bath before laying down in bed. It'd be a pain to have to change the sheets so soon…"

Izuku didn't even bat an eye. He just let her down before the door to her dorm room's bathroom. When he went to leave her though…

"Uh… I still can't feel my legs, Izuku," Katsumi quietly said as she kept a hold of his sleeve.

Speechlessly, Izuku looked intently at her. He could see what she wanted in her eyes; how she wanted him to stay with her and… help her wash up.

Of course, knowing her personality, she would first die of shame and embarrassment then she would admit these things, so he slowly… Very, very slowly… Opened the door to her bathroom and helped walked her inside.

…Click.

He heard the door softly close behind him, courtesy of Katsumi's actions, and the last of his doubts evaporated.

Neither of them spoke as Izuku set her down on the edge of the bathtub and helped her remove and put aside her clothes. Katsumi could hardly look in his general direction, while Izuku couldn't stop looking in hers.

Shoes, Socks, Tie…

Shirt… Skirt…

Soon Katsumi was down to just her underwear, but besides the cheer-red blush that dusted her face, she was devoid of any visual indicators that she was having second thoughts.

She reached to take off her bra, but the angle she needed to affix her arms in to complete this most basic actions which she could have effortlessly done any other day, was too strenuous with how tired and worn out her arms in particular were.

She had to look up at Izuku and ask for his help, which he all-too-happily carried out. The worse had yet to come as she really couldn't feel her legs and needed Izuku to hold her up to remove the last of her underwear.

By the time she was finally completely naked, the tub had been filled up with steaming hot water. Of course, before then any respectable person would clean themselves up of all the sweat, dirt, and dust they'd picked up over the day with a shower, so… Izuku offered her his support as he let her lean on him as she went about washing up.

About a minute into being a glorified pillar, Katsumi's embarrassment shifted into exasperation as she rolled her eyes and said, "Just… Set me down for a second, get off of those damn clothes, and shower with me."

She'd seen Izuku change from a pushover into the confident and capable man he was today, but she really should have known better than to think he'd be any more daring than he already was. It was a miracle — in more ways than one — that he'd even gotten this far without devolving into an anxious, embarrassed mess, himself.

"..." Now that it was his turn to disrobe, Izuku grimaced internally as he felt the metaphorical burn of embarrassment creep up with each article of clothing he removed.

"..." Katsumi couldn't say anything even if she wanted after Izuku rejoined her after getting naked as well. She could honestly admit that despite never being able to properly imagine what his size would be when they finally took their relationship this far, she was certainly not disappointed.

She shivered slightly when he picked her up again. His hands her waist, bringing her over to lean her bare body against the side of his own exposed torso.

Katsumi felt the need to retaliate even if this wasn't a competition or even a fight. So as she covered her hands in soap, she started lathering up his body before cleaning her own. She very much enjoyed the way he squirmed and trembled under her touch, only to squeak when he played along with her game and started rubbing her hair with shampoo.

When she finished spreading her soapy hands everywhere from the waist up, her blush burned especially hard as she looked up to see how far he'd like to take this.

"Lets… Not do anything… Here, at least."

Her disappointment was immeasurable and her day was ruined.

"I-I want our first time to be when you're not at the brink of collapsing… I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if you suddenly got knocked unconscious," Izuku hesitantly said, hoping to every deity under the multiverse that his borderline arrogant, impudent, words carried the tone of his genuine concern.

And just like that, Katsumi's mood surpassed its previous peak.

She used what little strength her exhausted arms still had to squeeze him to herself as she kissed him deeply and started rubbing at his back. When he accepted her affections, it took them a while to separate and finish lathering each other up before rising off and entering the tub.

Splash…

Upon entering the still-steaming tub, the volume of their bodies displaced the water to the point where a good fifth of it spilled over and into the shower.

For a good ten minutes, the two just stayed there; with Katsumi sitting on top of Izuku, both submerged under the water. Eventually…

"Izuku," Katsumi said, her voice wavering slightly as she started dozing off.

"Yes?"

"I… I love you," she admitted.

"I love you, too," Izuku did not hesitate.

Unfortunately, in her current state, Katsumi didn't hear him as she fully fell asleep less than a minute later.

I regret everything...
