Amy and Aiden both lay in bed, naked, staring at the ceiling as it turned from midnight black, to steel gray. Morning was coming soon. Amy sighed. They hadn't slept. If anyone walked in on them it would look like they simply lay there, each with a hand under their heads, the other buried under the covers. But there, where no one else could see, their fingers were entwined, and had been for hours.

Being with Aiden was still a shock to Amy. Sometimes when she looked back over the past six months and realized just how much her life had changed—how much she'd changed—it took her breath away. She hadn't seen any of this coming. But here she was.
