Rose thought it would be the beginning of her happiness when the problem inside the castle was solved but she found out only later how naive her thoughts were.

Arriving in the world of the supernaturals, she entered to the world of the beasts.

Part I

[The werewolves around her stared at her, their eyes glowering as they stared at the human stepping to their land across the sea.

Rose covered Dominic who was behind her, who was unconscious after the fight. They were not humans! Although their bodies were those of humans, their blinding golden eyes warned her they were the same as Dominic— werewolves!

"Immigrants," the voice of an older man appeared as he walked between his packs, "It's extremely odd to see a human stepping into our land. No humans should be able to cross the sea. Therefore, you must be something else." Bringing out the sword that hung against his hip, the man struck his blade forward, placing it across Rose's neck before she could react. The cold blade cause her to shudder in fear. But she won't move and expose danger to her beloved.

The man narrowed his eyes on her bravery to stand against his sword to protect the man beside him. Curious, he questioned with his gruff voice, "Name yourself, human."]

Part II

[The air turn cold inside the cave.

"What do you mean?" Rose questioned breathless, her eyes looking at the silver-haired woman in front of her were filled with anxiety.

The woman only looked down on her with a hint of pity, "This is why I had warned you not to get closer to him. He will be the cause of your pain."

Rose shook her head, not wanting to believe it, "There must be a way. A way to save Dominic."

"There is, indeed," the witch responded to her, "But are you able to sacrifice yourself for him?" As Rose opened her mouth, the witch press her pale finger over her lips, shutting her, "Don't be so quick to agree, darling. I can see it in the future of your sufferings. But if you still wish to proceed on saving him, even I can't refuse your request."]

Part III

[Rose had expected what she saw, but she couldn't help to be surprised. Looking at the mirror, she couldn't find herself in her reflection. She was utterly different from her past. No smile was across her cheeks, and all she could feel in her heart was cold and chills.

Her senses were numbed and her feelings were icy. Even as she saw her beloved again, she felt nothing.

Dominic's hand clutched around her shoulder. He had pinned her to the walls, hoping for her expression to change yet her blue eyes showed nothing. It was empty. It was hollow.

"Why?" Dominic breathed out, his breaths quivering. "Why Rose?! The only person in this world who wouldn't betray me is you. I believed that but you—"

Rose reached out her hands to wrap around Dominic's shoulder. She brought her lips toward his warm ones. Closing her eyes before opening it again to meet his golden gaze.

"I can't feel anything anymore, Dominic. Maybe all this time, I have never loved you."

Dominic's golden eyes were stormed with emotions after her words. He wish to believe Rose had lied to him. But her eyes were deadly serious.

He could still remember it as though yesterday where her smile widen when looking at her, how he could hear her heartbeat racing around his presence but now, she was different. In her eyes, he was nowhere to be found.

Dominic raised his fists, hitting the wall next to her to contain his anger. "Tell me why," he questioned through his gritted teeth, his jaw tightening.

Rose leaned her head back, staring at the ceiling above them. The castle felt nostalgic but all those emotions had disappeared for her. She closed her eyes, shaking her head. "I don't know."
