Chapter 72

"Roven!"

Roven turned around to see his wife rushing alone towards him, her clothes had scratches as well as her face, her right arm was badly injured and was bleeding.

"What happened?" Roven exclaimed. "Where's your guards?"

"I told them to go to Serio," Ivelisse said, panting heavily and clutching her arms.

"You should've gone there! Why are you still here?!"

"I'm worried about you!"

"I'm worried about you too! So go!"

"No!"

"Go!"

"No!"

They began to give each other some terrifying glares which affected the knights surrounding them.

"Uh... Your Majesty, the wyvern is destroying the capital," one knight exclaims, pointing to the wyvern, which is destroying the capital with its tail.

Ivelisse and Roven looked at the wyvern, the other one was still flying around in the sky while the other one was destroying the capital.

"Tsk, stay here."

"Don't 'tsked' me!"

Roven ignored his wife, "Let's kill that wyvern first, the other one must be recharging it's breath."

"Charge!" Duke Eiler exclaimed, the knights ran towards the wyvern and hit it with all they got.

"Growwl!"

The emperor began to completely utilize his demon power, strangling the wyvern with his shadow to ensure it was on the ground for the knights to fight.

"The body is too thick!"

Rover cussed, "Shit."

As soon as he let go of his shadow, large chains bound the wyvern to the ground. Roven turned around to see her wife kneeling on the ground.

"I told you to stay there!"

"Shut up!"

Roven was taken aback.

"Just fucking cut it's neck! Faster!" Ivelisse exclaimed. Her right arm bled more.

The knights around them were taken aback when they heard Ivelisse's harsh statements.

Roven charged towards the wyvern, his blade enveloped by shadow and a red aura from its demonic power.

He gains more strength than normal humans by using his demon power.

He jumped over the wyvern and as he fell, he sliced the wyvern's head in half.

"rooarrr!"

As soon as the wyvern was cut into half, they celebrated as if it was the end, suddenly they heard a wicked laugh.

They looked around and saw no one.

Roven frowned, 'I can't sense it's presence.'

"The Wyvern!"

They looked at the wyvern and saw it's inside boiling...

"What's happening?" Duke Eiler asked.

Roven suddenly realized what was going to happen, "It will explode! Get away from it!"

They ran as fast as they could, including Roven, after he saw his wife unconsciously lying on the ground.

Roven turned back and he knew it'll explode second from now so he used his shadow to shield the knights as well as Ivelisse. He hugged Ivelise and waited for the wyvern to explode.

Suddenly, someone from the outside managed to get inside the shadow and pulled Roven outside. Before Ivelisse got out of Roven's shadow, he released his embrace to his wife.

"Who are you?" As soon as he turned back, the one who pulled him was gone.

"hihihihi"

[Kaboom!]

Then, the emperor was caught with the explosion.

When the surroundings turned quiet, the shadow slowly disappeared. The knights were shocked to see what happened to the capital, but what surprised them more is Roven who was bleeding heavily.

"Your Majesty!"

"Roven!" Duke Eiler exclaimed and ran towards the emperor.

Roven was still conscious, his head was bleeding as well as his body.

"Roaarr!"

Roven stood up.

"Rest first!" Duke Eiler exclaimed, but Roven ignored him and continued walking towards his wife.

"Bring Ivelisse to the healer. Faster."

"Yes, your majesty!" 5 knights brought Ivelisse to Serio.

"You should go!" Duke Eiler exclaimed, annoyed by how stubborn Roven is.

"I'll heal fast. The creatures are coming," Roven said. As soon as he stated that, the creature's cries were heard and they began running to assault the knights.

Roven continued to exhale deeply and almost collapsed but managed to stand back straight.

"You're losing!" Duke Eiler exclaimed.

The sound of the metals as they hit the wind was heard, as well as the never-ending cries of the horrible creatures and the shouts of knights.

"The wyvern is about to breathe fire!"

They looked above and saw that the wyvern had already prepared it's fire.

"The emperor is bleeding heavily!"

"This is the end!"

"Roarr!"

"Commander!"

"Roven... rest first!"

"My wounds are healing already," Roven pants. He used his shadow ability with his demon and held onto the creatures, without a second thought, Roven crushed it's body.

"Father!"

It was Daniel and Vincenzo.

Daniel placed traps on the ground that would burn the monsters if they stepped on them. Vincenzo burned all the creatures coming in his way.

"Why are you just now?"

"We evacuated, and as we were about to return, three king ogres emerged out of nowhere. We had a difficult time destroying it because of its aggressive nature." Vincenzo explained,

"hihihihi" the wicked laugh was heard once again, but they didn't know where it was coming from.

Roven looked around for the source of the laughter, but he was abruptly dragged away by someone wrapped in black smoke.

"Father!" Vincenzo fired him with his power, but ended up passing through it.

"hihihihi"

The emperor fights with his shadow and ends up getting released after the black shadow guy was hit by him.

"hihihi"

As soon as Roven turned around, a thick spear was struck in his stomach causing him to cough blood.

"Father!"

"Hihihihi!" the black shadow guy disappeared.

"Roaarr!"

"It's going to breathe!"

Vincenzo walked close to his father who was kneeling trying to take out the spear but he felt like his strength was sucked up by the spear. "Take the spear out."

Vincenzo followed his father and took off the spear. Roven looked at it with his deadly eyes and suddenly, red auras and shadow ate the spear and turned it to ashes.

"Roarrr!"

While Roven was bathing with blood, the wyvern breathed fire. The knights were fleeing as time slowed as the wyvern breathed its flames. The beasts came to a halt and fled from the wyvern's fire.

The knights cussed out their guts praying to keep them alive.

As the fire was ready to reach the ground, a large black hole emerged and began sucking the wyvern's fire.

The knights stopped running, "It stopped."

"No... I'm pretty sure the wyvern breathes out it's flame."

"What happened?" Shiro asked, whispering.

"I think I saw a blackhole..." Thed whispered back.

"Father!" From afar, a lady's voice was heard.
