When Talos opened his eyes he saw he was sitting down in front of a gorgeous woman who would have made even women fawn over her. She was blessed with flawless skin, massive breasts, long purple hair, and a just as big ass.
She looked like a succubus in Talos' opinion, but when that thought entered his head she scowled.
"You dare compare the goddess of beauty to a mere succubus?"
Talos shrugged.
"I couldn't tell the difference. Why is a goddess talking to me, I was not religious especially not to your religion. Are you Aphrodite?"
The goddess scowled even more.
"I AM NOT THAT SHAMELESS SLUT! I AM NYSSRASSANE, THE GODDESS OF PURITY AND BEAUTY!"
Talos closed his eyes as her voice was louder than a dragon's roar. He shook his head to get the echo out of his ears as she was currently panting and cursing like a sailor.
"Right. Forgive me lady Nyssrassane, goddess of purity and beauty. I apologize for the insult. I think I have heard of your religion.'
The goddess scoffed.
"You in reality just thought and I quote, 'better give her what she wants or she will yell up a storm again.' End quote. At least that last bit was truthful. My religion was just as popular as that sluts Aphrodite so that I can forgive.'
Talos with a straight face nodded.
"You got me. Anyhow, am I dead? I think I died."
Nyssrassane scowled as Talos was a unique case. Not only was he a Demigod, he was also her damn little brother. Why did her mother have to fall in love with a mortal and give birth to this annoying guy? But he was her brother so better she sent him away before her father found him.
"You were chosen to be reincarnated into another world of your choosing and I am here to grant you three requests as dictated by the old rules."
Talos stayed silent for several long seconds before he leaned back into his chair.
"Nah, I rather not."
Nyssrassane's eyes began to twitch like crazy as her rage began to rise up.
"You can't refuse, as you were picked by the gods."
"I don't particularly care. So, punish me or whatever, I don't care."
Nyssrassane began to hyperventilate as her rage began to build up at him. If not for who he was, she would have already put her shoe so far up his ass. Why did Talos have to have the worst personality? Her mother really messed up by not raising him.
Zero motivation and pure loathing for life. Despite his heritage, he had squandered his talent and never tried to amount to more.
"That cannot be done. You must be sent off once chosen."
Talos leaned his chair as far back as he could as he spoke again.
"Is there any way to refuse? Maybe I can just be your personal chair boy."
Nyssrassane went silent as she heard his offer.
"You want to be my chair?"
He shrugged.
"Not really, but I rather stay in my world where I can not put in effort."
Nyssrassane sighed as he was lazy his Demigod talent was to blame as everything was easy for him.
"No thanks. Since you refuse to pick, I will be forced to use the randomizer. So, choose what you want or you could end up being a trent."
He shrugged making her even angrier for his sake. However, his decision to not pick himself was a secret condition to give him an extra extra rare option. She waved her hand and a 4 large spinning wheel covered in microscopic lines.
Each of those lines was an option for his requests. As he had not made any, they were split into species, worlds, items, and the hidden function ability. She waved her hand and began to spin all 4 as Talos watched. He did not really care what they had as he would not bother like he always did.
But, after a few minutes, all 4 stopped which made Nyssrassane almost shocked he got the last one.
"Your species is a Hellblade Glavenus, your world is High School DxD, your item is an instant evolution token, and your ability is-"
She froze when she saw what ability her brother had received.
"A Divine Rank Adaptive Evolution Skill."
Talos raised an eyebrow.
"That's pretty cool. Guess I will become even more talented than I already am."
Nyssrassane explained it.
"Yes. You already have ungodly levels of natural talent, but with this, you be able to adapt to nearly anything. How did you get the luck to get that?"
Talos shrugged.
"More luck?"
Nyssrassane was silent for a few seconds before she sighed.
"You know Talos, I don't think I will ever like you."
Talos just smiled.
"I don't blame you. I have a very unlikable personality."
Nyssrassane sighed before standing up.
"Enjoy your life Talos and I hope you deal with that personality of yours."
He just grinned.
"Never. Be seeing you."
"Bye."
She waved her hand and sent him away with his earned rewards. When he was gone, Nyssrassane stopped smiling as she sat in the chair Talos at. She looked down at the ground with her purple hair falling over her.
"Be safe little brother, you huge asswipe."
---
After meeting with Nyssrassane and being sent away from his original world, Talos' soul was sent over to his new one. He had no idea what this world had to offer and he honestly was not too interested. However, when his soul which was many times stronger than a regular mortal was sent over, it was quickly surrounded by a protective shell.
The egg was black with red stripes and twice the size of a basketball. The egg by Nyssrassane's control was placed within a hidden vein of fire essence in the Underworld. This was her way to help him out as the natural fire essence would nurture his body and soul before he hatched.
As for the mana vein she chose, it was one that had yet to be discovered as it was deep into the unexplored sections of the Underworld. A truly wild place that no faction had claimed for themselves.
Here, in the vein, his Divine Rank Adaptive Evolution skill instantly took effect. After it had been fused with his own soul which was that of a demigod, his body began to absorb the pure fire essence of the vein.
As for Talos' soul, it began to change to suit his new monstrous body as his Adaptive Evolution warped his soul to better suit his new body. The incubation period of Talos took around a year, but by that time the vein had been nearly depleted by Talos.
At that point, Talos woke up again in his new body brimming with energy. When he opened his bright golden eyes, he did not panic or even squirm at his new state of being. He merely closed his eyes and once again began to actively work on his mana control.
When he did this, he found that his mana pathways were entirely clear with no blocks in them. His mana was circulating without his control throughout his entire being.
'This is even easier than it had been to begin with. Also, this body is not half bad, wonder how big I will get.'
After studying himself for a few moments, he began to struggle against his eggshell. He smashed his head against the tough shell of his egg before small cracks began to form. He pushed against them with his front limbs which were quite large already.
With one big push, he caused the middle of his egg to crack open which was large enough for him to push his head out. When he stuck out his head which looked to be covered in volcanic rock it burned with a permanent heat.
He forced himself out of the egg before he stood on his back legs.
'Now this is a body.'
His front limbs were strong, but they were smaller than his back legs meaning he was not going to be a quadrupedal animal, but a bipedal. He checked himself out a bit now that he was out of the egg and he found instincts forming in his head.
They taught him what he might need to know and he understood. Glavenus were intelligent monsters themselves as they acted like honorable warriors always honing their sword/tail skills in battle. They sought territory in places with rare metals to add to their tail blades.
When he looked at his tail, it was a hard piece of rock-like mineral that he was meant to hone and refine in his life. In the back of his throat was an organ that he could use to breathe out fire, but more importantly act as a forge for his tail by heating it up to remove impurity in his blade.
Learning to fight with a tail sword would be interesting as he always specialized in regular swordsmanship when he found the urge to battle. He nodded as his very instincts of his bloodline, told him he was in a perfect environment to refine the beginning of his tail blade.
The first thing he did was eat his eggshell because it had a vast amount of energy in it from the vein. When it was all eaten, his Adaptive Evolution trait drew out the energy of the shell to feed his cells.
Talos sent his mana into his surroundings as the lingering effects of the Mana Vein were still present. The stone and minerals around him had been purified in the extreme heat for who knows how long so it was a fire affinity ore at this point.
He listened to his instincts and began to grind the base of his tail against the ground which caused the tail to begin to rapidly gather heat in seconds. Once his tail was glowing bright and hot he stabbed it into the ore around him.
The heat of his tail was released into the ore causing it to become fused to his tail. He tore his tail out of the ground and swung it around. He bit into the center of his tail causing his throat to glow bright hot as his mana fueled it while he dragged his teeth across the unrefined ore.
As he did this, the heat caused the impurity to be drawn out of the metal. That was eaten by him and then stored in a special organ in his chest which would allow him to use it as a breath attack on top of his fire. He repeated this several times over until he had formed a large tail blade of fire ore.
It was razor sharp and honed to a razor edge which caused his bloodline to sing with pride at his blade. Every Glavenus' prided themselves on their tail blades and now Talos was no exception.
'I can get used to this. Now, how to get out.'
The Mana Vein he found himself in was full of good material, but no food. If he wanted to grow he would need to hunt for food. He closed his eyes and with his mana senses, he found that he was underground around 100 meters deep.
The vein was quite large as it was 20 meters wide and around 10 meters high. More natural Fire Essence was spat out by it slowly.
'So, this is a good Mana Vein. This should be my lair for the time being now to get digging.'
Using his front limbs he scratched at the wall of the deposit causing the ore and mineral to be sliced easily. Using an upward angel, he began to dig his way out of the ground to find his way out of the underground deposit.
Eventually, after nearly 20 minutes of digging, with one last swipe of his claws, he saw the first streams of light. He pushed his way out of the ground and found himself in a small forest clearing with massive trees all around him.
He sniffed the air and found it was full of mana which was a good thing. When he looked at the sky he saw a weird sun. It was all yellow which was weird to him as his sun had been a bright blue.
'Could be weirder.'
He sat down in the clearing and he just took a moment to plan what he was going to do. In his old world, he never had motivation as he did everything so easily. Now though, he was actually feeling motivated. Must be his new monster blood, but he really wanted to explore and fight.
