After showing the results of their research his father immediately informed the news to the commander of this country, Azra. After awakening new lands formed and some old lands sunk into the water the whole known geography of the earth changed, due to many changes most of the satellites outside Earth, orbiting it fell away or towards Earth, The UG decided to change to the name of change the names of every cities, countries, and continents. The human population which was once at a staggering 8 billion reduced to 1.7 billion the only place occupied by humans is the continent of Sapin a large island the size of Asia, which consists of five countries namely Azra in the south, Elenor in the east, Darv in the west, Blec in the north and finally Czar in the center surrounded by all the other countries. Each country was named after its commanders who were the leaders of the countries.

The commanders operated the UG, United Government. The government that rules Sapin. My father could be considered to be the second-known strongest person in this country. The hierarchy of this world works solely based on individual power and achievements, The commanders and deputy commanders were the sole reason humans as a species survived.

Even though our discovery was not groundbreaking to the point where it could change the whole tide of the battle, it will help the UG to regulate the power level of a monster by killing other weaker monsters in the surroundings.

Suddenly I felt a hand touching my shoulder, I jumped back instantly and saw the commander, Azra standing there with a casual smile. He was clad in an English butler uniform. I swear I didn't feel him coming, He must be far stronger than my father to escape my sense, trust me it is too hard to escape the sense of a mage with an affinity towards space. I activated my six eyes to gauge the amount of mana he held and oh boy I was surprised If I consider my amount of mana to be around the size of a lake his was the freaking ocean.

"Ho, nice reflexes, Darwin must have trained you really well, where are my manners? I am Azar, the commander of this country"

He introduced himself with the same smile that he always whore, he bowed slightly while introducing himself.

"I am Nathaniel Greyson. I am here to state the results of our discovery sir" I replied respectfully not wanting to offend him in any way possible"

"Just call me Uncle or Azz, no need for formalities I read about your research and what can I say, I'm impressed, If you want to be funded by the UG or are in need of any research material please follow the rules. I will let you go with a warning this time as your dad was aware of this."

He ended with the same smile which now looked more like a demon's smile, I just stood there and nodded like a child feeling chills up my spine while looking at comman- or is it Uncle Azz now?

Even after becoming stronger than lots of people and monsters alike, I still couldn't compete with the ones who are truly something else. My father who stood there on the side decided to intervene after that conversation.

"You will be receiving an award of 200,000 dollars and a monthly fund of 10,000 dollars to fund your research, the fund will increase if your contribution to our development is good."

I just bid farewell to both of them and left the room, even though 200,000 dollars is a lot for an average family for me it didn't seem a lot. My father was the Deputy-commander of this country while my mother is the chairwoman of Greyson Internationals, the organization that supplies 30 percent of food for all humans in Sapin with the help of her ability to control plants. The real award in this was I got some recognition other than being Darwin's son the higher-ups will definitely know about my name and it will make things easier for me in the future.

I took my phone and called Alice, to tell her what happened

"Hello"

"Yeah babe, our research was awarded an amount of 200,000 dollars and we will be funded by UG, They will give us 10,000 dollars a month"

"So, how are we gonna share it, 27-73 on my favor right??"

"Don't joke around now, come to my house tonight for dinner we will talk to my dad about the training next 3 years and for your kind information I did most of the work so the 73 should be in my favor"

"Seriously we should start this soon??"

"Yeah the sooner we start, the sooner it ends and we become hunters, and the job as defenders helps you experience how things work inside savage lands"

"Ok, I will be there at 8, do you want me to stay?" she asked shily, I knew the hidden meaning behind the words, I replied teasingly

"You decide," I said with a grin.

"Ok I won't stay" In my whole life I haven't regretted a decision of mine this fast, i replied in a hurry

"Please stay I was just teasing you"

"Better be careful the next time, I won't go easy on you twice" I could sense he being smug across the phone. Just wait and see who laughs at the end of the day.

" Ok babe got to go, Goodbye love you"

"Love you too honey" Hering her calling me honey made my stomach and chest feel funny, I just cut the call and smiled brightly, and proceeded to fly off to my home.

[Azar POV]

Seeing the boy, who discovered the now-termed mana resistance ends his call with his lover and fly off to his home. I turned to Darwin my deputy commander, right-hand man, and the second strongest in this country after me, I said

"Your son is very talented Darwin, His resolve and passion are very high, and he still is adamant about becoming an explorer or what he calls a hunter right?"

I asked him with a smile, I knew about the boy's dreams from Darwin, he is strong for his age and his eyes are very versatile, abilities that allow one to see mana itself were rare but that was only one of his abilities. He seems very interesting.

"Yes Azar, he is still adamant about becoming one but after seeing that he didn't bend I decided to not restrict him but help him improve, I asked him to join the defenders for the next 3 years before starting his journey in the savage lands."

Hearing his reply, I nodded, he made the right decision guys like Nathan were rare, and he knew exactly well about the risks of this profession, but he still chose this.

"You made the right decision Darwin and assign him and his girlfriend to my team, I will teach them personally and give the files with their full details."

He seemed surprised about my decision to train them if his surprised face wasn't an obvious sign.

"Are you sure Azar? Or do you just want to push all work on my head?"

I just laughed and replied

"Haha, Do you really think that low of me? my friend"

He huffed and teleported and reappeared with two of the teen's files in his hands

"We still hadn't had a serious talk about this so don't get your hopes up, they could still refuse"

"I'm sure they will accept your condition, my friend"

I just smiled and disappeared from the spot leaving only a puddle of water behind. I laughed as I heard Darwin complain about me ruining the carpets from my connection to that pool of water.
