Max and Marcy walk into the old cabin and plop down on the couch in the living room. Max fumbles around for a while before she grabs the remote off the side table and turns the TV on and flicks to some home improvement show. Max then grabs a blanket off the back of the couch and stretches across the couch placing her head in Marcy's lap and falls fast asleep. After the long evening the two of them had they were both tired . However Marcy envied Max as she sits running her fingers through her hair while she slept. Marcy looking out the window waiting and watching for any sign of Ian to pull into the dirt drive way. Marcy lost track of time as she watched and waited at that window, hearing the men in the distance talking back and forth.
"There he is" Marcy thought out loud as she lunged twords the window completely forgetting Max in her lap. "Aww" max ground as she rolled off of Marcy's lap and into the floor. "Sorry Max...Ian's here" Marcy stammered as she jumped off the couch and jogged twords the door, Max jumped off of the floor to fallow behind her. As Marcy swung the door open Ian was closing the car door behind him. Ian barely had time to turn around before both Marcy and Max had clung to his neck. Ian almost lost his balance but quickly wrapped each arm around Marcy and Max embracing them both with reassurance. Ian looked up to find that the rest of the pack had found their way to the front of the cabin to watch the three of them reunite in such a fashion. "You must be starved" Max said looking at Ian and then the rest of the pack. Max lowered herself from Ian's neck and marched inside announcing "dinner will be in an hour". Ian looked down at Marcy with a faint smile and leaned down to kiss her on the head "are you okay?" "Me! No are you okay?" Marcy snapped back finally looking back up at Ian. Ian let out a half hearted chuckle "I'm fine, just a few more things to take care of before dinner." "Okay" Marcy said a reluctantly as she released in and turned to follow Max into the cabin. Ian nodded at the pack and they fell into a huddle on the front porch talking about the newly eliminated threat of the hunters. While the pack took care of business Max and Marcy finished cooking dinner and setting the table for the whole pack.
Max looks at Marcy "are you ready?" Marcy nods her head and Max smiles at her and squeezes her hand in response. Max walk to the doorway of the dining room and yells "dinner". With her one word that come out for as an order than a statement the room suddenly flooded with large men. Marcy hadn't had the mind to notice before now just how large they were. They men sat at the table reaching over one another to make massive plates all while filling the room with echoed laughter. Marcy relaxed finally, her and Max were safe. Ian was finally safe and the pack no longer looked on edge making her feel more at ease. The lot of them ate, drank and laughed late into the night. Marcy smiled at them, it had been so long since she had, had a family dinner.
