CHAPTER 2 : MURDER

O evening

Bigby arrives at a suburban area in front of a diapilated apartment building, this apartment building was in a very sorry state with big ass rodents running up and down along with their companions the bugs and cockroaches crawling on some sections of the wall, the light bulb in the passage was constantly blinking whilst a very persistent moth fluttered around it's rays.

Bigby walked down the hall as his footsteps could be heard with every step he took, the residents living there were mostly fables who shut their doors whenever they hear Bigby coming " The Big bad wolf " is coming they will utter , running and shutting their doors...Bigby had a bad reputation that inspired fears into the heart of the fables back when they were in the Woodlands ( fairytale world).

Bigby walked towards the end of the hall and entered his apartment as he tries to close the busted door " Stupid door" - he grunted but his grunting was interrupted by a voice " I told you to get that door fixed Bigby, you never listen to me" - said the mysterious voice ... Bigby finally got the door closed as he turns over to look at the rather large pig on his couch watching a small set Television

"Collin, maybe if you helped pay the bills rather than sit on my couch all day doing nothing....and why the Hell ain't you in glamour" - said Bigby as he walks towards the kitchen which was just around the corner.

"come on Bigby I thought we were friends"- said Collin

"we are but rules are rules ..if you don't glamour up, I might send you to the farm"- Bigby concluded as he opens up the mini fridge bringing out a beer before crashing on his chair... he takes a sip while the disheartened Collin waddled over to the next room " Aye aye I get it" - said Collin

*Buzz! Buzz! * the phone rang calling the tension in the room..Bigby answered the phone and it was " Snow White"..... Bigby's partner down at the business office.

~*Hello Bigby..we got a case, I need you down at the business office in five*~ snow white said

(N/B: The business office is the government office for the fables.

"Yeah sure I'll be right there"- Bigby replied as he hangs up and walk towards the door " can't catch a break can't I"

{AT THE BUSINESS OFFICE}

Bigby arrives in front of the business office only to find a crowd in front of the building... forensics team taking pictures of a cleaved head left in front of the building...Bigby walks up to them where he is met by snow white "Snow , what's going on" - Bigby uttered as he tries to get a glimpse of the head. " Passerby found this here" ~ snow white replies ...snow white was pale and beautiful, her black hair all packed up and rolled down her back , she wore a brown fitted suit with a blue skirt reaching knees high which gave her an authoritative looks .

Bigby finally got a glimpse of the head and it was Faith!! " FAITH" he uttered as he looked in awe at the cleaved head he began to reminisce of when he first saw her.. quite a shame she was lovely girl who would do this he thought to himself.

"Someone dropped this here" ~ snow white said with a Stern look on her face as she and Bigby walked down the Halls of the business office ..

"This was a message" - Bigby replies as he nods his head frowningly " I saw her just this morning at TOAD'S apartment building ...sigh poor girl"

Bigby and snow white entered the main office of the deputy mayor ICHABOD CRANE

Crane was a principled fellow, a tall lad in his stripped suit with his spectacles which hung Midway across the bridge of his nose which

"Bigby ... Ms white... do we have any leads on this case"- Crane uttered in an authoritative manner looking sternly at bigby, he was never a fan of how Bigby did his things but Bigby kept the fables in line so that was enough for him

"Not yet...we still need to examine the body "~ snow white replies as they both head to the examining table which was in another section of the room... "Bufkin get the tools " snow white muttered.

" Yes Ms white" - said as he flew to grab the tools ..Bufkin was a 4ft tall green monkey with wings who worked as the assistant in the main office ..he was well mannered and obeyed every order he was given..

Bigby began examining the Head of faith on the table.."This cut was clean through made by something sharp , there's bruise on the sides of her face and wait what is this!....." Bigby concluded as he seemed to have found something in Faith's mouth, he pulled it out as it was long purple string " A Ribbon" he said .. "Faith was wearing this ribbon when I last saw her this morning " - said Bigby

"Maybe this was a message of someone trying to tell her to keep her mouth shut? " - snow white added

"but who would do this, I meant she shad a squabble with the woodsman over money but I paid her so it should have ended things " - Bigby

"maybe the woodsman didn't take things as ended and the cut might have been his axe "- snow white concluded

"Hmm things doesn't add up, I'll have to investigate things...I'll check out TOAD'S apartment and see if Toad knows anything" - Bigby concluded

"Well whatever you're doing, do it fast ..the fables are getting worked up over this case " - ICHABOD CRANE

"I'll handle it so get off my back will ya " - Bigby sneered as he walks out of the office lighting up a cigar and puffing it whilst crane looked in disgust folding up his arms
