Chapter 15 Training

After doing a marathon of all the Star Wars that was currently out, I got excited by the new idea I had gotten from them, but my excitement died down when I discovered that creating something out of pure fantasy was very hard, dragons, castles, guns, were things I had seen, read about or, even touched, but a light sabre? A Laser Gun? A Death star? None of these existed so until my Occlumency level was high enough to make fantasies reality I was pretty locked on what I could do inside my mind, but I did change one thing.

Previously I had left the computer right in the middle of my mind, which was equal to the throne room, but this time I created several under levels and ramifications so that it would be hard to know the true direction to reach the computer, and lastly, I changed the structure of the computer to a much more advanced one, I copied the style of the Millenium Falcon commands, adding unnecessary buttons that would only confuse the invader.

Happy with the changes I removed the notification that warned me about the two level-ups of Occlumency and headed to have lunch with Nat.

.

.

.

' Ok now that I have already completed one of the secondary objectives from the Hogwarts quest, I will take a look at what else I can practice without attracting attention.'

While we were watching the movies Nat had warned that I couldn't use magic outside schools until I was 17, and even after that I could only do basic charms or spells like that, but I had one way to resolve that.

Wizards tracked the area where the spell had been cast with two things, the magic of the area going awry, and checking the wands of all the wizards that were last seen in the area or near the area.

But if I don't use wands, and I train inside Dungeons?

And so, after convincing Nat, which took a lot of pouting, I was able to get to a nearby dungeon that was signed on my map.

---------------------

You are in the area of the dungeon: Zombie's City

Suggested Level: 10-20

---------------------

I took out both my wand and knife and mentally ordered to get inside.

.

.

.

Unlike the previous dungeon, I didn't change area, the changes were a sudden shift in the colour of the sky, and the nauseating smell filling the air, but the feeling of throwing up for removed by Gamer's Body, while fear of being in such a place got blocked by Gamer's Mind.

Suddenly a low growl came from behind me, and before my body even turned I had already cast Mana Restraining with my wand the zombie that had tried to sneak on me.

Having the chance I used Observe on it.

---------------------

Normal Zombie Lv.10

HP: 500/500 MP: Null

An Undead raised by a newbie Necromancer, its low level was caused by the inability of the Necromancer.

Has very good Endurance, can't feel pain, has strong teeth

The best way to defeat one is by breaking, piercing, or slashing their head.

Observe Level Up

---------------------

The zombie tried to break free, but apart from being durable, its strength was the one of a normal human, a weak one at that.

Wanting to test out the power of my wand I cast Mana Bolt, aiming for the head of the zombie.

And like the description said, a three times bigger bolt appeared from the tip of my wand, which quickly headed for the head of the zombie and blasted half of it, making it fall to the ground.

---------------------

CRIT

You have killed a Normal zombie Lv.10

+100 XP

Loot: Zombie Teeth

Level up

+5 status points

+1 Perk point

---------------------

I quickly invested the 2 status points in Int and 3 in Wis, thus balancing the two stats.

Next, I decided to see what perks I could buy with the new Perk point I had just gained.

---------------------

Currently accessible perks:

Mana Storage Lv.1( 20 Int)

Adds 100 MP to the base MP

Mana Regen Lv.1( 20 Wis)

Adds 1 point to the base MP regen

Speed Reading ( 20 Read)

Adds a 20% boost to reading speed

Quality Reading (40 Reading)

Books Int and Wis gains are doubled

Perfect Hand ( 20 Writing)

When you write your hand won't ever feel cramps, and the pressure won't ever change

Nice Reflexes (20 Evading)

Boosts reflexes by 20%

---------------------

' Now what I expected, no that I was expecting anything, but is really welcome, all of these perks are very useful, currently my MP and MP regen are enough, reading gains are for now pretty frequent so no need for neither speed reading nor quality reading, Perfect Hand is useless for now so that only leaves Nice Reflexes, which boosts my chance of survival.'

So in the end I decide to buy Nice Reflexes, and my mind became sharper, or maybe it was just more attentive or was it the int boost? The Wis one? The reflexes? Since I became A Gamer I have been asking way more questions than I usually did while I was with my uncle, is this the effect of feeling freedom for the first time? The knowledge that someone is supporting me? the fact that I am rich?

My existential crisis was stopped by the arrival of another growl, quite a few this time.

I turned towards that direction and saw a group of zombies slowly walking towards me.

' Let's try something.'

With my mana manipulation finally being at 12, I stored my knife and used my free hand to command mana.

First, the mana in the air condensed taking the shape of a stick, to the stick a pointy head got added, and when the arrows had almost taken full shape I started making it turn, adding piercing power.

---------------------

You have created the magic: Spinning Mana Arrow Lv.1

Spinning Mana Arrow Lv.1

The second spell of a true Gamer, by creating a mana arrow and then making it spin around itself, you were able to create quite a powerful spell with a high chance of causing a critical thanks to its piercing power

Cost: 50 MP + ( Skill level= spinning speed)= 51 MP

Damage: (( Skill level +Int)x 1.5)= 39

---------------------

With a mana bolt in my wand, and a spinning mana arrow in the other I looked towards the zombies with a smile.

" Come at me rotten pieces of meat."
