-CHARM'S POV-

None of us spoke up for like five minutes. Everyone chose to remain silent as we all thought of ways to surpass this trial of entering Citadel's premises with precaution.

"I volunteer to check what's inside the city."

All eyes immediately landed on Lance when he suddenly raised his right hand. My brows in disbelief.

"I can't let you sacrifice yourself for the sake of this mission." I instantly opposed his suggestion.

"But Charm, there is no other way for you to go inside without getting detected." Lance rebutted. "Even if you go in invisible mode, those magic detectors that the soldiers have on their waists can still detect you."

"I know that." I heaved out a sigh and bit my lip afterward. "But, I'm too worried about what might happen to you inside. I just can't risk your life for this."

"This is the only thing that I can do for you, Charm." he gently said, almost in a whisper.
