An elderly woman, a Witch, had entered her home that seemed to be beaten down on the outside but from the inside, seemed to be a lavish home.
The elderly woman puts away her bags then her skin slowly turns into a younger woman. From grey hair to brown hair, she seems to be around 20 years old.
She enters her study room to reveal her wall has been filled with pictures of dead girls. Looking at pictures as she's getting a shot of whiskey.
Door knocks.
"One moment!" She spoke out. Getting up to see who's here as a cougar is being petted by her as she's walking up to the door. Opening up the door. "Mira!"
They gave each other a hug.
"Hello, Mary. Long time no see. May I come in?"
"Please do." Mary opens the door for her.
Almira had entered the house, then noticed the study room filled with an experiment of a bathtub and blood with dead girls in it.
"What brought you here, Mira?" Both of them are walking to the dining room.
"Well I gotta show Dorothy about how to become a Witch. So I'm here for some advice." They sat across from each other at the small round table.
"Advice?" Mary grinned with a chuckle. "You of all Witches out there, need advice from me?"
"Well you have an Apprentice, but I never had one before. So this is new to me. And I'm honestly scared." Almira leans forward.
"Want something to drink?" Mary brings out a cart of various drinks. "Because this might take awhile." Mary is taking a shot of whiskey.
"I'll take an energy drink. Since this might take some energy myself." Almira answered.
Mary handed out a tiny can.
"I can't believe you are actually taking up an Apprentice." Mary is shocked by Almira's recent decision to teach a new Witch. "So what makes you change your mind about it? Since aren't you the one who thinks having an Apprentice is a dead weight of emotions?"
"I originally did. Over a hundred and fifty years ago." Almira said.
"Really?" Mary is baffled. "Time sure flies for us."
"It's not funny, Mary. I'm trying not to be a Salem Witch anymore." Almira shakes her head. "Now I have an Apprentice, and someone I had saved. So I wanted to set out a good example for her."
Mary cackled. "That's funny. A good example?" She sat back as she enjoyed the whiskey. "I never thought my old classmate would try to be someone good. Aren't you the legendary Wicked Witch of the West?"
"I'm not like those Magical Girl Killers." Almira took offence.
"My Apprentice did well for herself. Even got a promotion." Mary smirked.
"It's not a competition, Mary." Almira said to Mary. "And I'm no longer the Wicked Witch of the West. Anyone can fill that role, but it's no better than being called Bloody Mary."
"It was a fun prank." Mary laughed it off.
"You had caused the death of Mary Tudor, and took her title. That's not a prank that us Witches tend to do." Almira said to her.
"It was funny to me." Mary cackled. "So damn funny."
"And how many had you killed from that little game?" Almira mentioned the folktale legend.
"Countless, but not this body isn't working well. I might need a new one." Mary is looking at possible candidates when she places them on the table.
Almira is looking at them. "So many young girls."
"I'm just hoping one of them plays the game."
"Why bother? You could just go over there and kill them." Almira questions Mary's methods.
"Not this..." Mary leans down as she's picking out the picture. "This is the difference between the crazy killers and us real serial killers. They give us serial killers a bad name."
"Killing? As if there's a difference. I've done my fair share of killing." Almira said to her with a confused tone.
"Yes, but those are for self-defence purposes. But I like to give out such bloody deliverance in order to spread fear." Mary twirls her butter knife as she's having toast. "I'm like the famous Ripper case, but not gonna lie, wish I was talented as Ridley."
"Ridley caused Marge a huge problem back then. Killed those poor hard working women out of jealousy due to not getting many clients. I'm quite surprised there's not many Witches that use their Familiars in order to create such crime."
"That's why I'm jealous of her talent. I may have been a serial killer much longer than her, but she has a talent for creating a crime that can go down in history and blame her own Familiar. Such a shame that the cat caught the rabies. I think it was a rat, and not one of the women she had killed." Almira drinks another energy drink.
"So many Ripper cases ever since, and they're not caused by a Witch. Now that's what I call a true serial killer. Right until those Magical Girls got her back in the 90's." Mary is drinking her whiskey then signs. "My Apprentice fills her role as a Plague Witch. Oops."
Almira felt insulted by the term. "Your Apprentice is a crazy killer. She's not a serial killer or a self-defence killer myself. Just crazy like; Abigail White; Helena Hades; and Necro Mercer."
"Please don't mention Mercer. She's the crazy one." Mary looks at her, while both of them are having memories of their younger days. "You didn't mention Hikaru, why is that?" Mary asked.
"She's the one that wanted to talk to Victoria Star but with no success." Almira said.
"Eh!" Mary snarled.
"It's been years. Just let it go!" Almira said to Mary.
"She's the main reason why we're here!" Mary drinks up her whiskey. "And why aren't you as pissed as me? You were meant to be a teacher for the Academy."
"I am pissed, but I had to learn to let it go." Almira said. "I can train my Apprentice to be better than me."
"And what if your first Apprentice is gonna be a serial killer or a crazy killer such as my Apprentice?" Mary asked her. "Because they would normally act as self-defence at first, but sooner or later, maybe either or. And unlike the modern times, those Magical Girls will only speed up the process since it would take literal decades. Like how I became a serial killer within half a century."
"I'm hoping she won't encounter such, at least twenty years." Almira is having high hopes.
"Twenty years?" Mary questions it. "You have high hopes."
"And yet, hope is what Witches can't have." Almira drank her third energy drink.
"Easy on those. Or else you'll have a heart attack." Mary commented on the energy drink. "So are you gonna mention Victoria Star to your Apprentice?"
"No." Almira answered. "Meeting that Magical Girl will be the last thing she'll ever see. But at least she'll understand far better than the other four." Almira is looking around and noticed the previous locations of Mary place. "Speaking of Magical Girls, how's the cat-and-mouse game with Detective Blueprint?"
"The New York Witches kept forcing her back there. She's no longer fun, but at least my relationship with her is considered more healthier than my Apprentice and the Archangel Magical Girls."
"Saint Michael." Almira corrected her. "The other two were casualties, but glad she killed the Red one." Almira smiled.
"Honestly, glad she killed that one. Because before those Red ones went from being religious nutcases to the "cultural ones". Such a pain in the ass, and at least some of our fellow Witches became lawyers, and managed to change their methods." Mary is leaning back.
"I think they're still teaching them. I wonder what kind of stuff they're teaching about the Witch Trials?" Almira lays her head on the side.
"From what I last heard from my Apprentice, they say that the Witches at Salem was the original placement for the Academy, and origin point of Witches. A group of women that angrily burned alive are reborn as Witches."
"If that was the case, Joan of Arc would have become a Witch herself, but can't really blame her for being pissed after being burned alive." Almira raised up a can.
"Amen to that, at least." Mary raised her glass. "Anyone would be pissed about that. But seriously, how stupid are they? I can understand the Pink, Yellow and Green, but the Red and Blue Magical Girls can't put two-to-two together?"
"Speaking of which, Dorothy said that the Wolfe girl didn't put it together. But she did add that only the Blue ones do tend to suspect the new girl as Witches."
"The Wolfe girl? Goodness shakes, you haven't butchered that one yet?" Mary is surprised that Becky is alive.
"It's only been a couple of years since I met them. Only a month or two as a Vigilante? But once Dorothy and I leave later this week, and that Guide will see that she's crazy, she'll leave and won't return to Oztown. Causing her to be a Magical Girl, and I can't continue on living in a quiet small town." Almira drinks the energy drink.
"It would be easy to just kill her." Mary suggested.
"Nah. She doesn't suspect Dorothy, so I doubt that she'll suspect me." Almira grinned.
"I might come to Oztown, since there's a house nearby in the countryside. And they're gonna play Bloody Mary." Mary smiled. "And I might go to a police camp, since I heard someone might play it."
"I think Dave said that Ashley might play it, but I don't want them to get involved with our Witch business." Almira said as she looked at all the times she and Dave had fun at the bar. "His ex-wife who's a complete bitch was there to ruin the fun. If you're gonna take someone's life, take hers instead. And make her one of your artificial Witch experiments."
"Aren't you the one who broke that home?" Mary said to Almira to annoy her.
"That house was broken far before I got there."
"When? After their honeymoon or wedding?" Mary continues to poke fun.
Almira is trying to remember. "I think it was after she screwed the waiter."
Mary is unamused. "You were drunk that night. You cast a spell to let her have sex with the pool boy."
"It was a waiter." Almira corrects her.
Mary pulls out a picture of Almira and Dave together, drunk.
"That picture can be doctored." Almira denies it.
Mary raised an eyebrow. "I'm the serial killer here, and I find that cold."
"Cheating isn't like killing. It's a healthier way to live." Almira smiled at her.
"Right..." Mary questions it. "Aren't you cheating on him though? Since aren't you sleeping with the Italian guy, or the Spanish guy? I tend to forget."
"That was 90 years ago, Mary. And he was Polish."
"90? I swear it was recent." She looks at her calendar that it turns back to 90 years ago. "Right! Before the invasion happen." Mary took another drink. "God I hated that Bitch!"
"We were in actual Witch hunt after the Nazi Witch came by. Not an actual Apprentice, but she did take a lot from Koch." Almira grabs a glass to pour herself some whiskey. "Remember the time where us Witches were the only people that we fought against? We even have our own scuffles here and there."
"I remember. I still beat you back in Russia." Mary points at her.
Replied in Russian. "It is a festival gun range."
Mary asked in English. "Can you speak in English, please?"
"Fine." Agreed in Russian, before speaking in English. "Where was I again?" Mary asked. "Because I got lost during our talk."
"We were talking about your Apprentice, Dorothy."
"Right! So do you have any starter advice?" Almira asked as she's drinking whiskey. "Whiskey and energy drinks don't go well with the stomach."
"Eh." Mary waves it off. "Just don't do what Necro did to us when we became Witches, and just do the best you can. Us Witches live under four rules; lying to survive; cheating others to live; stealing to make your life; and killing other lives." Mary answered.
"I'm just afraid that I'll screw up. Like how you did." Almira poked fun at Mary.
"Watch it!" Felt insulted. "Or else I'll pay Dorothy a little visit."
"If you're gonna come to Oztown for a visit, then please don't cause too much trouble. Becky is one tough cookie. From what I saw, she can deliver one hell of a hook." Almira showed Mary how strong Becky is compared to Dorothy.
"Your Apprentice isn't too bad. She seems to understand self-defence fighting without a Wand." Mary flicks her hair pin with gemstones. "She should be alright."
"Becky is a new Vigilante. She just got that Locket. She'll only grow stronger." Almira is showing concern.
"You seem to care a lot about these little pups. You only know them for a couple of years."
"Because like how Dave seems to watch over them, I feel like I had to watch over them. Because their folks were killed by that psycho, Wild Flame."
Mary snarled. "Don't get me started with her. Even during my days off as a serial killer, I ended up hunting her down with Marge. I still hold myself and Vicky responsible for what happened for the Academy. I ain't gonna stop till I find where she lives, and kill her once and for all." Mary tossed the whiskey bottle to a picture of a queen-like person.
"You're gonna bring down a Magical Queen?" Almira chuckled. "Only Plague Witches are strong enough to go against those. And some of them are far younger than us."
"It's crazy how modern Witches are so powerful." Mary cleaned up the mess she made. "Speaking of which, how long did your Apprentice stay in the Cauldron? My Apprentice had only spent twenty years in there before bringing her out of it."
"123 years."
"So long?! I'm surprised that she's even alive." Mary is shocked. "I guess there's really a God up there looking out for her."
"You? Believe in God?" Almira giggled. "I thought you were gonna flip off any kind of God up there for having faith."
"I would, but I'm also flipping off the aliens." Mary jokes.
Almira looked back at the study room.
Almira took one last drink before standing up. "Time for me to head back home. I don't want Dorothy and Becky to get too close to one another."
Mary looked back at her. "And what happens if that Wolfe girl becomes a Red Magical Girl?"
Almira slowly turned to reveal her green skin and black tattoos on her face while her eyes glowed up. "Then I'll erase Peter and Dave, and everyone else's memories about Becky. After I kill her."
Mary cackled. "And you said you're through with killing."
"If it was a different colour, then yes. But a Red? I'll drag them all from whatever Heaven they believe in, and pull them into hell to face a Witch's eternal damnation!"
Almira leaves the door with a slam.
"A Witch's eternal damnation?" Mary took one last drink. "It's a tale as old as time itself."
