One Week Later

It has been a week since Dorothy Gardner and Rebecca Wolfe had fought in the woods.

Serena who's wearing a nightgown and a little hat.

She had been sent there for three purposes;

-Observe Rebecca progress if she has potential as a Magical Girl and be recommended for the Magical Girl Academia.

-Report of the Salem Witch report of Oztown, Kansas, USA.

-And scout to find other potential Magical Girls in the area.

Currently, it's around 4:30 AM as Rebecca is smiling over Serena as she sleeps.

Becky had only a couple of hours of sleep but was so excited that her goal of being a Magical Girl, a real Magical Girl, is closer than she thinks.

Foot tapping next to Serena out of excitement with sweat pouring down.

Serena seemed to be distraught from a smell, but not from Becky's sweat but more of her Magical Girl form.

Becky's Magical Girl form is a Fairy Tale theme: Red Riding Hood with the wolf features; arms, legs and a tail. But due to the amount of sweat she causes, she tends to have a wet dog smell whenever she changes back from it.

Seren finally woke up. "What time is it?" Speaking with an English accent.

Using her paw to press the gem on her collar to pull her tiny watch to reveal that it's 4:45 AM.

"You woke me up too early!" Serena tiredly but shouted at Becky.

She got down on her knees to Serena. "I know that, but I'm so excited to start impressing you with my work as a Magical Girl!" Low tone but excited as Serena is half asleep.

"Then wake up in a couple of hours. It's too early for work." Serena lay down in her own personal bed, trying to get back to sleep. "I was having the most wonderful dream." She sleep talks.

"What is it about?" Becky with a curious tone.

"A promotion." Serena curls up in her bed.

Becky doesn't seem impressed with the answer, but shrugs it off.

Walking out of Peter's room.

Sitting down at the couch as she shadow kickboxing while remembering the Salem Witch she had encountered.

Almira Green, the Salem Witch that's guiding Dorothy Gardner in witchcraft. Her green skin and pitch black eyes with a sinister aura of the sky, and most importantly, why Dorothy decided to heal her while she was about to face death.

This had always been bothering her ever since. She was more confused on why a Witch as Dorothy, or at least to the public from Jackie Kingston had revealed her name as Glinda the Northern Good Witch. But he had been sent to the Spellcast Asylum due to being influenced by Glinda, and perhaps other psychological needs.

From that report the media had rebranded, Glinda as the Wicked Witch of the North.

Becky grinned. "Once I see those two again, I'll bring them down, and... go straight to the Pink Dorm of the Magical Girl Academia!" She shouted.

"GO TO BED!!" Both Peter and Serena yelled at her.

§

Across town, both Witches that had been mentioned. They're ready to take their leave.

Both Witches are wearing casual clothes.

Almira who's wearing her business suit, skirt. Hair is tied up. Glasses. Heels.

Dorothy wearing women's overalls. T-shirt. Jacket. Hat. Sneakers.

"Got your stuff packed up, kid?" Almira asked Dorothy.

Dorothy is still feeling the pain of the beat down she had received from Becky a week earlier. "Still quite stiff, but I can live through it." She spoke with a southern accent.

Almira watches as Dorothy grabs her small suitcase. "So why did you heal Becky? That has been bothering me all week. I know that she's still a good girl and all, but still, why?" Almira asked her with a confused tone.

Dorothy slightly looked away as she saw through the window, then turned around to face Almira.

"Because it's against my nature. I didn't want to kill anyone."

"Well what Dave have told me is it that a Magical Girl Guide is here. So we're gonna be on the run since your name is all over the government pages." Almira is trying to talk to Dorothy about the dangers for them but shrug it off for a bit. "Well, more like mentioned but they might tell the general public that you're a bad person and should informed the local authorities if spotted type of mentioned."

"To reword my answer; if I kill her, I would have just become another Witch like every other Witch that came before me." Dorothy looked down with a sad tone.

"And I had seen those kinds of Witches before. They don't last long." Almire is showing concern for Dorothy.

"Then I guess count me as a number then." Dorothy looked up with a smile, giving hopeless hope towards an ideal world. "I ain't gonna stop till I managed to get through one."

Almira looked confused but concerned over her ideals.

"So difficult." Almira grabs her suitcase.

"You haven't said where I'm supposed to go? At least till this Magical Girl Guide is gone." Dorothy asked as she placed her small rounded suitcase next to Almira's much larger case.

"Just a place where us Witches can go to hide." Almira said. Whistle out as she's calling for something.

Dorothy looked around. "You have a dog? I never took you as a dog person."

"I'm not a dog owner. I have a Familiar." Almira said.

Dorothy tilted her head, but realised a Witch partner. "Oh yeah! I thought it would be a snake or a rat?"

"Ew! No!" Almira is shaken in fear after hearing rats. "I hate rats!"

Dorothy looked worried for Almira. "I apologise, Mrs. Green. For mentioning rats." Dorothy slightly bows for forgiveness.

"It's alright. But we mostly use cats." Almira calmed down. "Maybe we should find you a cat, since a Familiar can be your best friend for centuries, mine had... some annoyance but I can tolerate her." Almira grabs her suitcase then uses magic to shrink it.

"How do you do that?" Dorothy looks at the suitcase that's attached to Almira's bracelet.

"I'll teach that right now while we're at it." Almira pulls out a wand.

Dorothy looked amazed but worried about the Wand itself since she cause a scare last week. "Hopefully I don't blow up the house."

Almira's wand is a black wand with green streaks, then around the handle, multiple gemstones.

Almira smiled. "This is kind of old school, but we use it in order to learn new kinds of spells or make our own," Almira passed her wand towards Dorothy. "But we would keep these as decorations. Rarely used but we use the Gemstones and a certain kind of tree wood in order to control your magic, rather than going crazy and acting like a Goddess. And speaking of blowing up houses, that's how most forest fires tend to start to reborn Witches like yourself." Holding Dorothy hand to point at her suitcase. "Just point and imagine it is smaller."

Dorothy looks at her suitcase and thinking about it, Glyphs come circling around the tips of her wand.

From feeling the wand, she sees vivid memories of Almira memories flashing by; rats running the streets, being trapped in a Cauldron, fighting a Witch in a Plague Doctor's mask, the day where she was put into the Cauldron where she was reborn as a Witch, and finally being covered by the blood.

"Now shoot."

Dorothy accidentally causes a small blast of her suitcase and makes a small hole in Almira house. Both of them looked at the hole.

Almira then look at her wand. "I guess my alder tree wand ain't your type. Well I guess we gotta find you some kind of tree that suits you then. I think Ruby does fit you though." Almira flick her wand to reverse everything, even the suitcase, but the damages are showing though. "I'll carry your suitcase." She shrinks it down for Dorothy then places it next to hers. "Now we gotta wait for Malvonia."

"Is that the name of your cat?" Dorothy asked as she dust herself off.

"Correct. She'll pick up this bracelet." Placing down next to her door. "She'll know where to go."

Dorothy looked around. "But I don't see a cat bowl or a litter box around here."

"You'll find out why." Almira went to grab the doorknob.

"Mrs. Green, can I ask you a question?" Dorothy hesitates.

"What is it?"

Dorothy looked sad as an image of the tornado of that day came. "Are you a Salem Witch?"

Almira's eyes widened. Looking horrified as she was afraid to answer. Remembering what Dorothy said about being another number, Almira swallowed her pride and turned to face her.

"Yes." Almira looked directly at the eyes of Dorothy. "I had accidentally killed your family by that tornado. I was mad on that day, and I thought you all were gone, but I was wrong. It wasn't my choice to be a Salem Witch, but what has been done is done. So I'm sorry Dorothy." Almira bowed her head.

"Thank you for answering that." Dorothy signed. "Now I don't have to worry about any kind of back stabbing." Dorothy said with a hopeful tone that made Almira look up at her. Revealing that she has tears running down on her face.

"If I'm gonna be honest, yes. I was gonna kill Becky. It won't be my first, but hopefully I could teach you how to defend yourself. Rather than relying on killing." Almira turned to open the door.

"And to me, that's the path that God had attended for. If his son will guide humanity through the shadow of darkness only to walk into thy Lord's Kingdom of Light."

"Don't rely on God too much." Almira guides her out of the door. "Because he won't be there to answer your prayers."

They leave the house.

§

Becky is walking around with Serena on the streets of Oztown.

"Pardon me, Becky." Serena is looking around. "Is there really anything happening around here? Because there might be a chance where you might need to go through the paying fees of La Magical Girl Academia."

Becky grabs Serena, carrying her up. "Of course! I stop robbers, rapists, and even killers. There's plenty of things that happen here at Oztown." Becky spoke with such an eccentric tone that caused Serena to be worried about her mental state and the obvious lying.

"Those are regular crimes that the police can handle." Serena scratched her hands in order to let her go. "Petty crimes aren't what a Magical Girl is supposed to do." Serena talks down about the crime activity of Oztown.

"Huh?!" Becky looked shocked. "But I spend my nights fighting all sorts of bad guys! How come that doesn't count as being a Magical Girl?"

Serena sign with a disappointed tone. "Listen here, Ms. Wolfe." Serena got up on the bench that Becky sat next to her. "There's a reason why the Magical Girl Global Association don't send us Guides to small towns like these. Petty crime can be solve. The only types of crime that is worth our time are involving Witches. Killers is a big step up though, but looking at this town crime rate, there haven't been a murder for nearly a year now. Not worth the time to send me to observe. Unless it's a serial killer, then yes. That is worth our time. Same goes with serial rapists. That's why most Magical Girls would reside to big cities due of having much more crimes. So please don't waste my valuable time with petty crime fighting." Serena is being strict with Becky.

"Alright, Ms. Serena." Becky's eye twitches as she realises all of her petty crime fighting is all for naught. "Then perhaps I should take you where I fought the Witches."

"Now that is an excellent idea." Serena seems to approve this choice. "Lead away, Ms. Wolfe."

As they left the small park, unknown to them, a pure white fluffy cat had been watching them.

§

This female cat decided to leave from the opposite direction, walking across town. She had entered Almira's house, noticed the bracelet next to her door, revealing to be Malvonia.

"Hmm..." Malvonia looks at the bracelet.

She uses her tail to cover her body then transforms into an adult woman. 5'6". Pure white long hair. Piercing ice blue eyes. Wearing a white suit with black heels. She grabbed the bracelet then put it on.

"I guess this small round suitcase is Almira's apprentice." She speaks with a Russian accent.

She transforms back into her cat form with the bracelet turned into a collar. She leaves the place then starts walking away.

§

Both Almira and Dorothy are walking around the old farmhouse that Dorothy was reborn as a Witch with the shattered Cauldron.

"I can't believe I was reborn here." Dorothy kneels down to see the Cauldron.

Almira looked around. "Yeah, I remembered when I was reborn as a Witch back in Kiev. It's so surreal that you were reborn in a different time."

"So why are we here?" Dorothy asked Almira.

"To find what kind of wood that fits you. Since most witches tend to pick out the nearest to their Cauldrons. So mine as well, pick one here."

Dorothy nods. "Sounds reasonable. So how...?"

Almira interrupts. "Hold out your palm."

Dorothy does so, as Almira pulls out a small bag where she placed multiple gems in her hand. To Dorothy, it seems that she has a rainbow in the palm of her hands.

"Gemstones tend to bring out your soul, while the wood balances it out. They will help you pick out your wood."

Dorothy nods. She walked around as she started to remember her past.
