67 CHAPTER 67

ELFMAN POV'S

"Nice doing business with you sir", I said as I shook hands with the Mayor of Freesia Town.

"You know, I almost lost trust with you Fairy Tail mages. The last person from your guild that did a mission in town burned our historical church down. You have made my opinion of your guild a pleasant one again, congratulations", the Mayor replied.

I just gave an awkward smile to his statement. To burn a church, I'm betting the person who did that was Natsu. Right now, I just finished taking care of a mission in Freesia Town. The mission was to eliminate a powerful ape-like beast that has been spotted near the border of the said town. But instead of eliminating it per se, I absorb the creature and made it part of my Take-Over magic. It was actually the reason why I took the mission in the first place. It was a way to strengthen myself by increasing my arsenal of creatures under my belt. One can never have too many options when you're a take-over mage.

I look up in the sky and I could clearly see that the sun would be setting soon. I decided to just go to the nearest inn and order some food and rent a room for the night.

Thinking about my new creature in my arsenal, I really owe a lot to Enzo. The man took me in under his wing after the death of my sister. He was a tough teacher, to be honest, but even with his cruel methods of teaching, I still owe him my thanks. I am pretty sure that I wouldn't be as powerful as I am if trained by myself. Seriously if I trained by myself I would still probably be only able to use take-over magic in my right arm.

I then saw a fairly large inn, I push the door open but the moment the door was opened, I saw a large metallic ball approaching me at a rapid pace. I look at the ball and I could hear a scream happening inside of the inn.

I subconsciously used 'Tekkai'. 2 years of training in the Rokushiki style had ingrained in me the muscle memory to immediately strengthen my body when a projectile is headed my way. Enzo had made sure of that. Especially when Enzo figured out that I was a prodigy in martial arts.

This prompted him to increased my training in the Rokushiki style. After fully mastering the Rokushiki style in two years, I immediately heard him muttering something about being envious of my talents in the martial arts.

The ball hit my chest but bounce back without any damage to me what so ever. I could see a kid, probably 7-9 years old picking the ball up and a middle-aged woman lecturing the kid for his actions. The woman then drags the kid towards me and said to the kid with anger in her voice, "Greg, apologize to this man".

The kid had an apologetic look on his face and said, "I'm sorry mister. I was practicing my ability by lifting this ball with wind magic but it seems I lost control".

"It's fine kid, but next time try practicing outside. The next person you might hit might not be as lucky as me", I said to the kid.

The kid then ran out of the inn and said, "I'm gonna trained mom, bye".

"Seriously!?", The woman said as she couldn't stop her son from leaving the inn, "Make sure you practice away from people".

The woman then looks at me and said, "I'm so sorry about that. My son just learned that he has an aptitude for magic and he has been training non-stop".

"I understand", I said as I showed her my guild mark, "We all started from there".

The woman smiled when she saw my guild mark, "Look my son nearly cause you an injury, I'll get you dinner on the house, and I won't take no for an answer".

I gave my thanks and accepted her offer for a free meal. A true man would never turn away free food.

I look around the inn and found a free seat in the corner, right beside a window, I then seated myself and waited for my food to be cooked.

I looked at the view out the window and I could see the streets slowly being filled with people. I notice that the town had this calm atmosphere to it. This was probably because it was located near the mountainous region of the Kingdom of Fiore. But my own reflection about the calmness of the town was broken due to the loudness of the conversation the table in front was having.

"Have you guys read the latest issue of sorcerer weekly?"

"No"

"Haven't got a chance to read it yet. Too busy lately"

"Look at this", one of the men said as he showed his two friends what was on the magazine. The magazine showed the newly built guild building of Fairy Tail.

"Wow, look at that, a guild that has a swimming pool. That's nice"

"Fairy Tail has greatly become famous throughout the years. huh?"

"I still remember when the most famous guild in the continent was Phantom Lord"

"Yeah me too. But now that they have disbanded Fairy Tail is certified number one"

"They have some powerhouse in their ranks. I read that Enzo stood toe to toe against Jose Porla, the latter being a Wizard Saint"

"I wonder if they'll give him the title"

"Probably in the future. If I defeat a wizard saint I would certainly demand the title"

"But you can't cause your weak. You're not even a decent mage"

"I'll punch you in the face, that will show you who's a decent mage!"

"It's true though, you suck, dude"

"Shut up"

The three friends look at each other and eventually started laughing.

"Hey, who do you guys think will become the next guild master? Makarov is old already. If I was at his age, I have already retired ten years earlier"

"I think, it's Laxus, he is his grandson. He'll probably take the position"

"I bet Enzo, the man is perhaps their strongest member aside from Gildarts who hasn't be seen for a while now"

"Yeah, I think Enzo is stronger than Laxus, perhaps his even stronger than Gildarts as well. He fought a Wizard Saint while Laxus was nowhere to be seen. So, I agree that he is the strongest but this ain't a fair world. In this world nepotism is a thing. With that in mind, Laxus will surely get the position and become the next Guild Master of the most troublesome guild in the Kingd---"

Suddenly out of nowhere the three people in front of me were suddenly electrocuted by yellow lighting.

"AH!"

"AH!"

"AH!"

I immediately stood up and scanned the room. Whoever cast the spell was incredibly proficient in lighting. He was able to attack without being seen. Every single person in the inn was as shock as I was. It seems none of them was the one responsible for attacking the three people in front of me.

Suddenly the doors of the inn were blown opened and with it entered a man whose body had lighting crawling over him.

I was wide-eyed when I saw this, the person in front of me was none other than Laxus himself.

"Why did you do that Laxus?!", I said with anger in my voice. True most of the guild members are trouble makers but we don't attack random people. Especially if those people were just minding their own business.

"I felt like it. Besides, weaklings have no say in what the strong do", Laxus said as the lighting the was surrounding him began to enlarge.

The three people he electrocuted immediately run out of the inn once the paralysis effect of Laxus' spell wore off. They didn't run towards the entrance, Laxus was still standing there. All three of them jump out of the window that was nearest to them. It was clear that they were scared shitless of Laxus.

"Just because your strong, you think that you should harm people?! How could you do that?! What will Master think when he learns what happened---"

I was cut off from continuing my sentence when I was suddenly hit by a powerful kick in the side of my stomach. This caused me to be propelled outside the inn all the way to the other building fronting the said inn.

"BANG!"
