8 System's Origin

What's going on here, isn't the level of disparity should make it harder to kill higher leveled people? why did she die so easily? Even though she's a mage, she's still 25 levels higher than me.

Is it maybe cause of my stats that I added on strength and her being a mage with a fragile body while being oom?

Yeah, I think that's the case after all other people can't increase their stats like I'm doing and they definitely don't have a system, they can only do that through mana and since she had no mana then she was basically like a regular human as a mage.

Well, who cares now, let's think about this another day, now I need to hide this corpse to waste their time in case they came looking for us.

And most importantly, check how much I gained for killing such a high leveled person, the harvest must be good for sure.

Thinking up to this point Mike started checking his notifications and how much did he get from this.

[Intelligence]: 21 > 25

[ MP]: 7 > 11

[Abilities]: 1

[ Free points]: 8

Holy shit, she actually gave me double what a level 22 beast gives, seems like the experience for beasts below tier 1 increases by only 10 from one level to another.

Is the system trying to tell me that I should go on a killing spree or what? Okay let's calm down, I'll probably be surrounded and killed on my first week, there always exist those forces that act righteous and for justice, but I'll have to be careful of those people.

Well if you think about it it's a little reasonable indeed, humans have intelligence and are way harder to kill the stronger they are, so double the point of beasts is actually totally fine.

Hmm, something changed in the panel, is it because I passed LVL 10 so now it's showing me the max level, or what. And even the experience needed to get to the next level.

'System what happens if I reach level 25 ' .

[Hosts will then be promoted to tier 1 directly, when the host reaches tier 1 he will be able to obtain some information about the system that is saved in its database ].

Information? What kind of information, can you make your words clearer ?

[Information is locked till hosts reach tier 1]

Yeah I guess not any question can be answered, well then what about this one, system what's your origin? Since you can give me information does that mean someone is helping me out, and if yes then for what?

Yeah, I better make sure of this, I'm not interested in doing what the creator of this system tells me if I'm just some kind of pawn like those novels, and then the system or the creator possesses my body when I get strong enough then I'm basically walking a path to my death.

[ the system wasn't created by anyone, the system is a power that was generated by the Demon God of Destruction. With its help, he reached the pinnacle of all living beings through bloodshed and massacre, but he suddenly died millions of years ago].

[The Demon god of destruction left a note in his power before his death, but you can only access the information when you reach tier 1 since your soul might explode if you receive it now. Except for the message, he as well left one of his skills, but the host can only unlock that at tier 2, except that, the Demon God of destruction didn't leave anything behind].

Demon God of destruction? Pinnacle of all living beings? Ah, this shit is so cool.

That's actually interesting and especially exciting to know that I can use one of his skills, well I bet it won't be as overpowered as when he was alive but it's still a huge help.

Well, let's first reach tier 1 before thinking about that. But the most important question is if the Demon God of destruction even died then how the fck I'll be able to stay alive, I really don't wanna die so fast like in my last life, ah it really makes you wonder who can kill such a guy. I actually don't even wanna think about it. Well, he said he left a message for me at tier 1 so maybe it got the answer to that.

I'll simply focus on myself, the guy is dead and I'm alive, demon God or not, he still died so, I really have to be careful from now on in this fantasy world, this is not some game or novel, danger is lurking everywhere here it seems, I should not make rush decisions, and I should very quickly increase my strength.

I'm simply happy that I have a system that's surprisingly turned out to be some kind of power that the Demon God of destruction had, but now it's in my hands, or else I would have just had to cultivate slowly for hundreds of years and then some expert kills me after I go out from seclusion.

Okay, I already asked what I wanted to know about the system, since it's not some being making me fat so he then can eat a delicious meal later on, then I'm satisfied and my mind can finally relax.

What should I do about this corpse now, wait maybe the system has something to carry things in, let's try and ask. System can you stock this body?

Mike was waiting for an answer but he instead got it with action, Jessica's body instantly vanished from the ground.

This is really useful, this saves me lots of trouble, I bet it's stocked inside of the system so no need to check it .

Seems like the blood is still there, well, I'll simply bury it a little and it shouldn't be visible anymore.

After being done with the blood, Mike didn't bother to check what Jessica had, since he knew that she didn't carry anything except of the commutation device.

It's useless to catch up to those two guys who left earlier, and I bet they are nearing the village's gate so let's go back and stock the wolves for some food, since I'll be needing it for sure.

And then, I'll have to search for some water deep into this forest that's surprisingly called jade forest, but I can't see any indicator of why it got this name, but whatever, maybe it's some old history.

Thinking up to this point, Mike went to collect the wolf's bodies and kept heading south, he doesn't know where he will end up but he still kept going, since he is gonna be getting experience along the way, then he is happy.

After walking for around 15 minutes, he finally spotted what looked like a bear, but it was slightly different, it had horns attached to its forehead and armor on both sides. But weirdly enough its belly and back are not covered in armor and especially its head, well that makes it easier for me anyway.

Scan, Mike muttered to himself while still observing the bear ahead.

[Panel]

[Name]: Bear

[Age]: 12 yo

[ species ]: Armored bear

[Level]: 15

[Chances of death]: 25%

OH, it's actually not that strong, it really looked intimidating, looking at the level and chances of death of the bear, Mike took his axe that he stored inside of the system out and activated invisibility.

While walking, he put all 8 points into strength again, at this moment he doesn't lack speed or anything since he had invisibility, and he can't use mana yet, so he simply chose to increase his strength for a good burst upon opening.

The bear seemed to be heading in an exact direction, he wasn't taking any turns. Mike didn't care and closed in without making any sounds on its left side, he was sure that the bear doesn't use mana since it's not tier 1 yet so it can't detect him.

Only tier 1 and higher monsters are capable of using mana, and that's why they are called magical beasts. And higher-tiered monsters even have names and intelligence comparable to humans and in some special cases are even higher, but of course, Mike doesn't know that yet.

Pouring strength in the arm holding the axe, Mike smashed the axe on the left side of the bear's head, the axe penetrated through his ear but it didn't go deep enough and touch his Brain because of how hard the bear's skull was.

Upon seeing the blood flowing out like a small river from his ear, Mike was gonna go for another hit on the same spot, when the bear suddenly erupted with an angry roar, directly after that, It used its left side and pushed its body weight it into the human that sneaks attacked it.

Mike was thrown rolling for a few meters on the ground, upon contact with the bear's body, and upon trying to stand up, he spat out a mouthful of blood and even started to feel a little dizzy.

After throwing Mike with his body's force, the bear didn't give him any chance for recovery and instantly charged at him, lifting its right claw, it tried to smash the human's head and take revenge for its ear.

Instead of dodging the incoming attack, Mike rolled ahead under its belly, barely managing to escape death, he instantly thrust his axe at the bear's belly, the bear tried to step on him or turn around, but Mike kept moving under its belly following the bear's footsteps, not forgetting to make a small hole on its belly with each hit from his axe, he almost made a map on top of its belly, the scene was simply so bloody and disgusting to see.

After a few seconds of dancing together with the bear, the beast couldn't hold on much longer cause of how much blood it lost, and it slowly lost control over its feet and collapsed dead to the ground.

Mike was already out from beneath it since he did notice the change in its movements before it collapsed, he ignored the systems notifications since he is still a little far from leveling up and started to ponder over his fight and reflect upon it.

First things first, seems like the head isn't always the weak point for beasts, I would have turned into a meat paste if I didn't put every point I got into strength.

Seems like the beasts have a fast reaction and I shouldn't be underestimating them just cause they don't have much intelligence.

Well for a first fight it didn't go that bad, except for the little injuries I suffered inside, but they are not so serious so it's fine.

Thinking up to this point, Mike looked at the bear one last time and put it into the system storage for food or to sell it later on.

The bear seemed to be heading in that direction, let's follow its route, maybe I can find its cave and family or something of that sort.
