Chapter 2: A Different World

Hearing the roar that seemingly coming from a wild beast, Neonero started to felt fear which he had never felt before. He even felt the sound of his heart beating is increasing every second. Instinctively he started to look for a place to hide. He spotted a huge tree around ten meters away from his current location. He then started to run to that huge tree which was around a hundred feet tall or even more. This huge and gigantic tree was most likely the biggest of all the trees in that area. He hid at the back of that tree.

Badump badump badump

"Is it a lion or a tiger? But it's impossible, with that really loud roar it doesn't seem an ordinary wild animal?" Neonero thought to himself.

As the sound of the running wild animal gets nearer, Neonero started to feel that the land seems to tremble slightly.

"This isn't good. Did I get teleported into the prehistoric era? Don't tell me that this wild animal's roar is coming from a dinosaur or something like that?"

Grrrrr…

The seemingly wild animal is just a few meters away from Neonero right now.

Roar!!!!..... sniff sniff Roar!!!!....

It stood there for awhile and it started to scan its surroundings. It seems to take notice that there is someone or something is hiding from one of the huge tree.

Neonero from behind that huge tree noticed that his feet and hands are shaking.

"What in the world is going on? Just a moment ago I was in the park waiting for that damned asteroid to smash all life on Earth. Suddenly I'm in the middle of a forest surrounded by gigantic trees and there's even wild animal. But no matter what, I need to survive. I must live."

"Now what kind of a wild animal is it? Let me take a look first."

Neonero slowly move to the right and peek to see what kind of wild animal that has just arrived.

"Oh my goodness!"

His eyes almost pop-out when he had a clear view of that wild animal.

"That is not a wild animal or a dinosaur. It's not even right to call it an animal. This thing is clearly a wild beast!"

He almost fell to his knees after seeing the wild beast. The wild beast was about fifteen meters tall, with its massive body about twenty-eight meters long from head to its tail. Its eyes are crimson red, it has a distinct appearance of a lion and a tiger but its two fangs are huge which is covered in flames. This wild beast looks like a saber tooth tiger because of its fangs.

"This isn't real. I have only seen this kind of wild beast in mobile games or movies. It feels like I'm in a game or in one of those stories from a light novel right now."

Neonero feels like fainting right now, when suddenly the beast turned its gaze towards the huge gigantic tree which Neonero is hiding. It started to walk in the direction of that tree.

ROAR!!!!!!!!

"Crap, I thought I was given a chance to live another life in this world. What kind of bad luck do I have for this to happen to me? I rather die instantly from that asteroid than to be a meal of this wild beast."

The wild beast leaped forward to Neonero's direction when a loud bang was heard.

Bang!

The wild beast crashed to a nearby tree. The wild beast instantly got up and gazed towards the sky. A middle aged looking man is floating up in the sky with a huge sword in its back.

"Crimson Flaming Fang Liger, you dare to step into the Mystic Lightning Sect's territory?" the middle age looking man said.

"I'm giving you another chance to get out of here or I will have you regret in stepping in my Mystic Lightning Sect territory."

Roar!

"Oh, old man do you think you have what it takes to make me regret in coming here?" the Crimson Flaming Fang Liger said.

Actually the middle age looking man's aged is already over three hundred years old. In this world ordinary people can live up to over a hundred fifty years of age. Warriors and wild beasts can live up to tens of thousands of years depending on their rank in cultivation.

To Neonero's surprise, the wild beast spoke in human language.

"What the heck! Did I misheard or did that Crimson Flaming whatever it is called just talked and is talking in human language? Am I inside of a light novel right now? Is this world, a world of martial artists and cultivators?" Neonero's thought is in chaos right now.

While Neonero's thought was in chaos, the Crimson Flaming Fang Liger and the middle age looking man started to battle.

Bang! Boom!....

The surroundings starts shaking like there was an earthquake going on. Flame and Lightning bolts starts to collide with each other, burning and turning some smaller trees to ashes. Even some the huge trees around sixty feet tall exploded due to their clash.

Roar!.. Haaahhh!! Swosh!! Bang!! Bang!! Zik Zik!....

"Hump, I never thought old man that you have already reached mid Heavenly Soul Realm." Said the Crimson Flaming Fang Liger

"Never would I have thought too that you beast is at Heavenly Beast Rank." Said the middle age looking man.

"Hahaha, I shall take my leave now. I only came here since I sensed an energy fluctuation earlier in this region. Until we meet again old man Lightning Kan!" then the Crimson Flaming Fang Liger leaped and instantly vanished into the wilderness.

After the beast disappeared, Neonero felt relieved. He really thought that this was his end.

Suddenly Lightning Kan gazed towards the huge tree where Neonero's at.

"You there, you can come out now. I have a few questions for you."

"Crap, now what?" Neonero muttered.
