1 Chapter 1: A Calamity

One fine morning, a young man is immersed in playing his favorite mobile rpg game when suddenly an emergency notification appeared in his smartphone's screen.

"This message is from the National Defense Agency. An unidentified mass of object was detected and is heading towards Earth. Expected to enter Earth's atmosphere within 3 hours and expected time of impact to Earth's surface is 25 minutes after entering Earth's atmosphere."

The young man's hand trembled and dropped his phone after reading the content of the emergency message. After pondering, he picked up his phone and started searching the internet for news regarding with the emergency message just now. As he read through the results, his face turned pale and cold sweat started appearing all over his face and to his back. He learned from this news that an unidentified mass of object will hit a village called Golden New Town, the village where he is living since childhood.

Golden New Town village is a small village with an estimated population of 67,700. With just a little of over 3 hours left for doomsday, everyone was in panic and the whole village is in chaos. Another thing is the unidentified mass of object that will hit Earth has an estimated size of 2,800 kilometers wide. Even if everyone wants to evacuate the village, where will they go to? The devastation it will bring to the planet is unthinkable.

After reading through different reports posted on the internet and from social media sites. The young man heavily sighed and said.

"To think this is how humanity will end. How will my life end. Oh well, I feel no regrets since I don't have a family and even a single friend left in this lifetime."

This young man's name is Neonero. He

was an orphan and he grew up in a church. A priest found him in a park when he was still a baby. No clue as to who his parents are and where he really came from. While he was out for work, an accident happened in the church a year ago. A bomb exploded in the church while it was in a middle of a mass. Killing all the people who attended the mass, the priest and his few friends which were also orphan kids that was adopted by the priest. After graduating from high school at the age of 15, he immediately applied for a work in a small store for him to earn some money since he was planning to go to college in the future. But now, all his plans for the future is ruined and will end due to the impending calamity that is about to happen in just a few hours.

40 minutes to impact....

"Oh my god, it really is huge." Neonero said looking at the sky.

"Huhuhu, this will be our end." Another person said.

"I guess, I'll sit idly here and wait for that thing to end all life in this planet." an old man said.

Even Neonero also had the same thoughts to the old man. He walked to a park nearby and found a higher ground full of green grass. He sat there waiting for the final moment of his life.

Soon the skies turned dark and the unidentified mass of object seems clearer to human eyes. It was like an asteriod but seems not made of rocks and metals. It's more of a mass of energy, with golden flames and purplish lightings surrounding it. Neonero sitting on the field of grass while playing his favorite mobile rpg game realized that the sky and the surroundings turned dark. He stopped from playing at gaze at the surroundings.

"I guess, a few minutes is left until everything is turned into dust or ashes. Oh, I better read the latest chapter of my favorite light novel."

While reading the latest chapter of his favorite light novel, the land start trembling.

"An earthquake?!" Neonero exclaimed.

Soon a strong gust of wind blows and violent lightning starts to appear, as if a typhoon is coming. Suddenly he felt an electric shock in his right hand which was holding the smartphone. Surprised by the sudden electric shock, he accidentally dropped his smartphone.

"What's going on? What's happening with my phone?"

Looking at his phone, which electric sparks occurs occasionally, suddenly it exploded!

Bang!

"What the, what just happened? Is it due to the unidentified mass of object that is about to hit us? Oh well, I'm about to die anyways in a few minutes, I wouldn't need a smartphone in the afterlife wouldn't I?

The earthquake starts getting stronger and the wind blows even stronger now.

Neonero gazed to the sky and couldn't help to say.

"Father and friends, we will be meeting soon."

Unbeknowst to Neonero, the area where his smartphone exploded started to glow and a small vortex like appeared. Slowly expanding to a size where a person will fit. Suddenly an extremely strong suction force sucked Neonero into the vortex. But it did not stop there, from the vortex a thin light shot to the unidentified mass of object which was a thousand feet in the sky and that mass of object suddenly started to decrease in size until it's gone completely. After that the vortex vanished without a trace.

That thin light has a powerful suction force to it that within just a few minutes the seemingly huge unidentified mass of object got sucked into the vortex. Every living creature on this planet witnessed the mass of object disappeared in thin air without a trace. Although it brought some damage to the surroundings due to earthquakes and strong gusts of winds, luckily not single living creature died because of that incident.

Actually that unidentified mass of object was not really an object. It was a mysterious body of energy that appeared out of nowhere and unexpectedly it headed to Earth as soon as it appeared outside of Earth's atmosphere. Even all the experts(astronomers and astrophysicists) of the planet has no way of explaining what was that thing and where it came from.

Meanwhile inside the vortex....

Neonero was unconscious and didn't know that he was somewhere in space. The thin light that sucked the mysterious energy was enveloping Neonero, then another vortex formed just infront of Neonero and sucked him.

Ziik ziik

Neonero appeared in a middle of a forest. The thin light slowly disappeared as soon as Neonero was transported into this place.

"Ugh. My head, Am I in heaven? Is this the afterlife? Where is this place? Or was I dreaming only?" Neonero started to wonder.

"This is not Golden New Town's park is it?" He pinched his ear. "Aw, I'm not dreaming and I'm not dead, but where is this place? Why am I in a forest? All these gigantic trees I have never seen this before, even on the internet."

"Roar!"

Suddenly a roar was heard and it seems really near from him...

"Oh my goodness! What was that?!.." Neonero felt fear after hearing the roar that seems coming from a huge wild beast.
