CHAPTER 13

"You and your pet can stay here".Yvonne said and was about to leave when Harry stopped her.

"You didn't tell me that you are a princess".

"You also didn't say anything about being a prince to me".she fired back.

"Okay. I'm a traveler, you can't expect me to tell everyone I meet on the way that I'm a prince. It doesn't sound good. Well you look stunning in a dress".Harry said as his eyes scanned her body.

"Thank you".She was about to leave again when he stopped her. His eyes holding hers in place.

"Are you avoiding me?".

"Do you think I am?".She asked him which made him smirk.

"Fine,if you're going to start with an attitude when we really knock off last night I'm not going to party with that. Maybe we should sort this out later. I really need some sleep right now".Harry replied and entered the room with his wolf and closed the door. Yvonne sighed, she didn't want to avoid him but she knew she made a mistake by kissing him and made a bigger one by enjoying it. He's a royal, he might be betrothed and he just came to her kingdom for some alliance and gets to lead her on before he disappears. It's quite easy for a royal to fool with people. after fooling with her he'll probably leave the following week cause her father never hosted a guest for more than a week because of spies.

Meanwhile, Harry was brooding in his room since he couldn't rest. He kept rolling back and forth. Robert looked up and scrunched his face. Harry chuckled and stayed still.

"I'm sorry for ruining your sleep but you know if she's gonna avoid me after the kiss it's fine like a said it's totally fine. I'm okay with it. if I knew that she's a coward I wouldn't have asked her to kiss me. I shouldn't have kissed her because my body wanted it the very moment I fell on her.Maybe I'm getting defensive or maybe I'm being outrageous but it's what I want I really want to kiss her and do all sorts of things to her but she behaved like the kiss was nothing. Perhaps I should avoid her the same way she avoided me or maybe I should just keep flirting with her till she wants me. I think that's the best option".Harry looked at Robert but it was fast asleep. He sighed and closed his eyes to sleep also.

When it was sunset, A maid came to knock on his door and asked him to join royal family for dinner. He went to the bathroom, took his bath and got dressed then walked out of his room. with the help of the guards, he was able to locate the dining hall. Harry walked into the dining hall, looked at King Bernard and bowed then he went to sit opposite a little girl who looked exactly like Yvonne. He looked at everyone on the table they seem to look alike or was it his imagination?.He looked around the dining hall was beautiful with exquisite paintings and drawings and portraits also. He wondered why everybody hasn't started eating when the door opened he realized that they needed to be complete in order for them to eat. Yvonne entered gracefully and bowed. Harry looked away and then looked at her sisters. They looked 12 and maybe 5 or 6. The queen probably didn't have a son but she's beautiful, her husband is also handsome that's why their children got their beautiful traits from.

"Let's eat ".King Bernard said.After dinner, before anyone could stand up Bernard already used his words to stop them.

"So prince Harry, when will you get my wolf?".

"I'll check around tomorrow maybe I can get you a wolf I only met a fox I haven't seen a wolf".Harry replied.

"I'll be expecting good results from you. Let me introduce you to the family. That's queen Meagan, and that's Yvonne sitting beside you I guess I introduced her to you earlier she's 19,in front of her is Nicole she's 13 and beside Nicole is Whitney she's 7".Bernard explains,he's sure a talker.

"Your father King Hermes told me you're 21 and since it's for the betterment of your kingdom I'll advise you to get engaged to my daughter Yvonne so as to join bounds together don't you think".Meagan only smiled.

"Your Highness, if you're doing this in order for your daughter to become a queen I'm sorry but I'm not the next heir to the throne and did king Hermes not tell you that I'm engaged".Harry said. Eventhough Yvonne doesn't look pleased with what her father said, she looked more disgusted with what Harry said.

"You not being the next heir to the throne is an open secret and that's the reason why I'm choosing you. If I were you I wouldn't have made an attempt to go gather allies even if I did it will be for my personal interest. You being engaged is nothing which is more beneficial your engagement or your kingdom. Think wisely, I guess we'll see tomorrow. Good night prince Harry".Bernard stood up and the queen followed. Whitney also followed Yvonne while Nicole stayed.

"So are you getting married to Yvonne?".Nicole asked

"Why are you asking me that?".Harry gave Nicole an odd look.

"Yvonne only acts tough because of her responsibilities, she's really weak, she gets emotional easily, she cries a lot, she have a lot of regrets because she doesn't want people to judge her when she becomes the queen. She's the only one who hasn't gotten betrothed. I was from birth same as Whitney but she wasn't. Maybe Dad didn't want just anyone for her".Nicole paused.

"Why are you telling me this?".

"Because I know you really care about her and both of you like each other and I guess you've met one another once".

"How sure are you about that?".

"100 percent sure cause I can read faces and sometimes mind". Nicole smiled and stood up,bowed and left.

Harry looked at her,she looked too young for 13,too small also same as Whitney. He sighed as he remembered the memories he shared with his family and felt lonely. Maybe king Bernard was eager to give Yvonne away in marriage that's why he's seeking for marriage alliance and she'll soon pass the marriageable age. Well he can't even call what he has feelings because he just met her it's more like an attraction and also he can't get married to a coward. He doesn't even have any entitlement to the throne so why will he sacrifice his happiness for someone who doesn't know what she wants. After all, he already did enough by looking for a wild animal. He'll leave for another city to start his life afresh.
