The five of them were teleported to an island, one of the numerous islands Essex had, that served as his residence and also his mutation factory.

"He's already aware of our presence so no need to be quiet about it." Vision's words echoed as a reminder as he flew into the huge Dracula castle-like building in front of them.

"Pietro, take Davis and map out any important point in the building. Peter and I will go in from the front and take care of any hostiles through there." Natasha ordered.

Being the newest member, and also his first time following someone else's lead, Peter softly asked Natasha after Pietro took Davis and disappeared inside the building.

"How are you so sure that there are hostiles inside? And you make it sound as if they have quite the number."

"That's because there are hostiles and they have quite the number." Was her reply. She then added upon seeing his confusion still there. "Vision won't have called us out here if there were a few of them, so be expecting a full house of enemy mutants and brainwashed puppets. It's his M.O."

Peter nodded and spewed a web that swung him inside the house with Natasha behind him.

His spider sense rang jingles the moment he entered the castle, forcing him to narrowly dodge a blast from a guy who seemingly had a gun for his hand.

"Whoa, dude chill! Can't a guy say hello first before being shot at?!" He shouted as he nimbly dodged the sporadic shooting from the human gun.

He couldn't get close for obvious reasons as the guy had over ten gun nuzzles around his hands coupled with the blasters he was waving around.

Fortunately for him Natasha stepped in and she was bathed in bullets the moment she stepped into the man's crosshairs.

Peter wanted to scream as he saw that only to be stunned as he saw her running forward while stumbling back a but every time she was hit by a large blast.

Seeing that Natasha was okay, he continued his press only for him to forcefully hold down his breakfast as he came across a girl with tubes stuck inside her body with her mouth being sewn shut.

"This place looks haunted." He complained as he tied her with his web and threw her towards a pillar and webbed her there as soon as she made impact.

"Enough complaining, Parker." Natasha admonished after she took out the mutants with the gun arms. She held a pair of adamantium daggers and used her abilities to copy its properties, making her impervious to most things she'll encounter on any mission.

With a wild card like Peter paired with her deadly techniques, they made quick work of a lot of the mutants they came across because most of them just had a cheap watered-down copy of a stronger ability.

….

In another part of the building, Pietro cracked his neck and ran through a hallway, knocking out and killing quite a number of the mutants and braindead husks in his way.

He paused as he felt huge vibrations passing through the walls and floor of the building. He was about to run in the direction of the vibration to check out what was causing it but refrained from it as he felt it coming his way very fast.

Something burst through the wall, two things specifically, and they were trying to rip each other apart.

"Get off me, bastard!" Davis growled as his opponent, who was a crossbreed between a hulk and some kind of bear, was trying to eat and cut him open at the same time.

Pietro watched as the two of them destroyed everything in their way as they fought savagely against each other. "Need help?"

"Fuck off!"

"Got it." He nodded to no one in particular and continued his orders.

Davis on the other hand grunted in pain as the monster bear bit under his armpits and tried biting out the flesh but couldn't as Davis was trying to suffocate him that way.

Seeing the bastard monster not relenting, he released it a bit and started using his spiked knuckles to hit it square in the face.

The monster bear-man couldn't handle the pain of a bloody face and released Davis' arm but Davis was not about done with him. He held his head and brought it to his knee a couple of times before picking him up and drone a spine buster into his back.

The monster bear roared in pain and rushed at Davis more frantically but this time Davis was ready for it.

The lid he always kept to remain fully in control of himself was pushed aside and he met the monster bear halfway in his charge.

The two of them destroyed the nearby walls and everything around them, turning the unfortunate people that happened to be around them during their berserk dance in meat paste.

A clawed hand tore open Davis' chest but it only heightened his rage as he gave up blocking and accumulated more injuries.

They mutilated themselves and fell into attrition as they tried to beat the other to death.

The monster bear seeped Davis off his feet and tackled him on the ground, biting and ripping open his flesh. Davis caught his mouth as the monster bear tried to bite open his neck and with a fast decking movement, he held open the bear's mouth by sticking one of his hands inside it, roaring in pain, and drove the protruded bones on his knuckles into the armpit of the monster bear, giving it a wonderful taste of its own medicine.

The bear tried to scream, biting more into Davis' hands, but the latter didn't care as he kept driving his bones into the bear's armpits until one of it pierced through the shoulders.

He pulled out his other hand from the bear's mouth while he flailed his only hand around in pain only to jolt to a shivering stop as Davis put the three claws in his other hand straight into the bear's mouth.

He threw the bear off his body and stood up with wounds all over his body.

He roared at the dead bear-man, whatever it was, and turned around walking away.

"Animal."

…..

Essex frowned as he saw Vision blast away one of his prized underlings, Havok, with relative ease.

He palmed out and the ground they stood on turned fiery red before it engulfed the both of them in an explosion.

Nothing he had tried so far seems to work. Whether it was trying to shut down his powers, enter his mind, illusions, and even creating clones; it was like the man in front of him could see through all of his thoughts and attacks.

Worse yet was that he couldn't even use his remote control on the clones outside of the island. It was like something was stopping from extending his mind farther than the edge of the island.

His body split into two and two of them created two more clones who immediately ran away while the other two stayed behind to try and slow down Vision's advance.

One fired a destructive force plasma energy blast while the other one threw everything else at Vision but before they could question if he was damaged, one had his entire body disintegrated while the other one contorted and compressed into himself till he was the size of a mangled tennis ball before being blasted to oblivion.

"What a fucking sick place, and not in a good way by any means." Vision muttered to himself, taking his time as he documented every research data in this base.

The only wise thing about some villains is that they are intelligent enough to build their own data network which massively helped against hacking but as long as he was in the vicinity of such a network, taking over became child's play.

"I'm having way too much fun experimenting with some of my powers."

He fizzled out and appeared behind a running Essex and drove a hand through his body and used his uncontested edge in mental manipulation to destroy every nervous synapses in the clone's body, before completely destroying it.

This was the way he came up in cleaning up Essex's bug infestation.

"You are sorely mistaken if you think you have me cornered." Essex looked at Vision, his mind calmly going through possible ways to facilitate his escape. All he needed was to extend his smile past whatever barrier was over his island.

"Trust me, such a thought hasn't crossed my mind since I came here." Vision spoke slowly and looked through the entire base until a small, almost imperceptible, frown marred his face. "You really are a sick man. I can't even come up with any defense for you even if I tried."

Essex scowled as he felt Vision, someone he considered lower than him like everyone else, was looking down on him. "How would you understand the pursuit of my ultimate goal? For it I will go to any length perceivable."

"Oh you did. You went the farthest length you could." He didn't entertain any of Essex's rants anymore.

Just like Essex, the Mind Stone appeared in his forehead and brought the weight of its power down on Essex's mental hive.

He wasn't just shattering his mind to kill him, no. He was deleting every bit of data Essex's brain has ever downloaded. From this very moment down to when he first opened his eyes as he came out of his mother's womb.

It felt as if he spent days inside Essex's head erasing everything when only a few seconds passed outside.

All of his clones around the world fell down like puppets on loose strings, leaving only his programmed experiments moving around.

"Now I have hours of explaining and healing past traumas to deal with after this." He complained as he cremated Essex's body to dust and went towards the source of his new headache located in one of the numerous rooms in the castle.
