Face The Shadow

The fight begins.

With little time to waste the two sides go at it.

Everett is now amped due to the Virtue of Courage going toe to toe with Luxk. 

Rapidly hitting Luxk with an onslaught of attacks.

CLASH CLASH CLASH

The two exchange blows damaging the area around them. 

"These houses people live in them. I can't fight over here " Everett thinks to himself.

"Distracted again," Luxk says kicking Everett and sending him flying. 

Mae opens a portal to save Everett from taking damage. 

WARP 

Luxk looks around to see where the portal will open next.

WARP

Everett reappears above the dark mage as he looks to deliver a strong blow. 

Luxk then suddenly disappears.

"What"

He then emerges from the shadow Everett makes when he is about to land.

SLASH 

Luxk swings the dark blade aiming for Everett's head.

WARP

Mae again creates another portal to send the attack and Luxk to another location.

Mae goes towards Everett "Everett I suggest we retreat and regroup with the others".

Everett trying to catch his breath "No I can take him I'll beat him here. Teleport uses to a plaza or somewhere open so we don't cause any more damage to these homes."

"A-Alright" With hesitation in her voice Mae creates a portal to send the two of them to an open area.

The two await Luxk.

"Where did he go," Everett says eagerly looking and waiting to strike with Mae in the back on hi. 

The wind blows. The surrounding area is quiet.

"Here"

The two Virtues get caught off guard as Luck appears behind Everett.

Luxk reaches out for Mae again.

CLASH

"How many times do I have to tell you you not getting her" Everett claims. 

"Hmph. No matter what you do nothing will stop me from taking her." Luxk says.

"Why is she so important to your plans anyway?" Everett says with his sword in his hand sending a blast towards Luxk.

Luxk again counters and engulfs his shadows before they even reach him. 

"Her ability is very important to our plans and plans in the future. The ability of teleportation is key and hers is no exception." Luxk says walking closer to the two.

"Everett Mae where are you?!" A voice calls.

"It's Alice" Mae says. Everett chuckles. 

"Milady are you sure they are in this area?"

"Yes, Dillia," Alice responds.

Luxk sighs putting his arms out as a pocket of shadows appears in his hand. Then the shadow grows bigger and swallows the area around them.

"Huh," Alice stops in her tracks.

"What is it?" Dillia asks.

"They disappeared." Alice shocked. 

The two virtues are now trapped within a dark space.

"Mae. Where are you?" Everett asks. 

"Am here it's so dark" Mae says. 

"It's alright as long as we're together." Everett. 

BUMP

"Oh am sorry" Everett apologizes. 

Squish

"Everett?" Mae says. 

"Am so sorry You see it's dark in here we can't see and I needed to find you-" Everett flustered. 

"I-It's okay," Mae says. 

Silience.

"Can you try to get us out of here?" Everett breaks the silence.

"O-Of course you right"

"Hmm. No use. It seems my magic or my teleportation won't work inside here" Mae says. 

"Correct" Luxk's voice is heard from the dark. 

The dark space is given enough light just to make out the figures who are within it.

"You are within my pocket space that I have created. "In here we will have no interruptions and this is where I defeat you Mr. Courage and take the girl back with me," Luxk says. 

"You'll have to kill me first" Everett boldly says. 

VOSH

"That's the plan" Luxk blitzed Everett swinging his blade and looking to cut the young mage in half.

"GAH" Everett within a split second generates a shield with the sword.

"Very interesting a blade that can generate a large blast and a shield," Luxk says. 

Everett goes in for another slash but stops.

"He disappeared again"

SLASH

Everett receives and slash in the back.

Luxk reemerges "Dont worry I didn't cut you deep just enough to make you feel the pain and struggle in our little fight." Luxk raises his arms as the shadows are formed into spikes that shoot at Everett.

"Everett uses the shield again and blocks it."

"You see within this space the shadows are under my control. I can manipulate and control them in any way I want." Luxk says. 

"I don't care about any of that I will defeat you no matter what."

"You can try" Luxk grips his blade as the shadows around him engulf the dark mage as they become one.

"I am the shadow," Luxk says as he charges at Everett.

Everett goes in showing no signs of fatigue blocking and evading all the attacks that are thrown at him. 

Everett then swings his blade around his head to make a circle which creates an attack that shines bright and affects the area around him. Dispelling the shadows that come towards him.

"Smart he created a light attack so there won't be that many shadows going after him," Luxk says to himself. 

Although this seems like a perfect counter if it wasn't for one thing. The fact that he is still within Luxk's space. Everett's light shield begins to falter as Everett receives small wounds here and there throughout his body the shadows cut him as he gets closer and closer to Luxk. 

"ARGHH" Everett pushes through no matter what injuries he sustains with all the cuts he receives he makes it to Luxk. 

"Great spirit but am afraid am going to cut this short"

SLASH

Luxk cuts Everett across his chest and stops the mage in his tracks.

"Everett!" Mae yells. 

PLINK

Everett drops the Seven Branched Sword and falls to the ground bleeding in the process.

"Well that was entertaining for what it was I-. Huh" Luxk receives a cut on his face "It looks like you did manage to cut me," Luxk says. 

Luxk walks closer to Mae "Alright come along, girl".

"No no no," Mae says. 

"HEY!"

Luxk turns back in disbelief "he's healing his wounds."

Everett ran his hands covered in a green hue over his wounds "I already told you before that the only way you're going to take her is you'll have to kill me first." Everett says using his sword to regain his balance. 

"You really are an interesting one Everett," Luxk says picking up his blade.
