Spirit Shackles

Zenesha couldn't think of anything else for this pure Zenesha wanted to visit Crimson Moon Palace again aside if it was interfered with by Prime again. Was this how they would communicate in the future?

If that was indeed the case, even though she felt some indignance inside, it was better than nothing. She was someone who could easily get accustomed to the circumstances. And in her current situation, she didn't have any right to complain.

Accompanied by her confused attendants, they walked the path to the Crimson Moon Palace again. And as usual, the attendants were left outside while she went inside. Zenesha's attention was fixed on her surroundings, and she really noticed that her body was going in the same direction as Prime's rooms that she only visited yesterday.

Expectations immediately welled up inside her. She really wanted to control her body again and asked Prime more questions about her chances of escaping her fate.

And as she only entered the room when the shackles and disharmony that she had been feeling vanished, Zenesha stopped in her tracks, still stunned by this. She couldn't help but move her hand; instantly, her eyes brightened as though she were extremely amazed by this.

Her observations of herself and reverie were interrupted by a playful chuckle that came from deeper inside the room. Zenesha lifted her, and her gaze immediately met the other's golden pupils that were filled with amusement as he watched her.

Even if she wasn't easily embarrassed, Zenesha's ears still heated up, and she couldn't help but avert her gaze. To have someone like Prime see her actions earlier was making her feel slightly ashamed.

However, it was only for a moment; she coughed dryly to compose herself before lifting her head again, and the embarrassment in her expression disappeared.

"You called for me," she calmly stated before approaching the couch that Prime was already sitting on. He still sat on it casually, with the same carefree demeanor as ever.

Zenesha didn't know if it was really his personality, as she vaguely recalled that dragons were rather haughty and peculiar creatures in the stories she had heard before. However, those might not be necessarily accurate since they were fiction, after all.

Prime didn't comment on her behavior earlier or respond to what she said as if silently agreeing with it. She then sat gracefully in front of Prime's seat and put her hands together in her lap. It seemed her etiquette had also been influenced by being Zenesha for over three months.

Actually, she didn't even know in what other aspects she was influenced by this character. At least, she was still aware that her personality and thoughts were her own and had not yet been influenced.

"You're adapting quickly," Prime commented after a while, a small smile appearing on his lips.

Zenesha was still not immune to his charms, and her heart skipped a beat for a moment. She had to avert her eyes slightly to the side before returning to Prime's face.

After recovering from the effect of Prime's lethal charms, she simply nodded. In her years of experience in the field, Zenesha knew that when she was already in a disadvantageous position, she needed to be even more cautious and choose her words carefully.

"This is the last time I'll call you like this." Prime started, and before she could react, he continued in a casual tone, which Zenesha now tried to become accustomed to. "It'll be suspicious if you're always visiting me. While those around you won't notice too much, it's not the case with those troublesome beings."

Zenesha already suspected that Prime was cautious because of them. But at this moment, she also discovered that while he was indeed cautious in dealing with them, that didn't mean he was scared either. Perhaps he merely thought it was troublesome and might affect his finding what he was looking for.

Thinking about it this way, she stared at Prime again. It seemed her evaluation of him was still not enough. Clearly, he was far stronger than she initially thought. It was both good and bad news for her. Prime being stronger meant she really had a chance to know the method to fully suppress the world's influence on her.

However, it was also bad news, as the chances of her also escaping from his grasp had fallen significantly, to the point that it was impossible. Zenesha could only helplessly exhale from inside. It was as though she could only see herself approaching another prison after escaping her former prison.

And yet, even if she knew, Zenesha had no other choice. It was either to die without having the ability to resist or be at the Prime's mercy. She could only hope that after she had no value anymore for Prime, he could only let go of her without doing anything excessive.

"It's okay... then, how can we talk in the future?" Zenesha inquired and agreed without any objections. They still needed to talk about their cooperation, and with her being imprisoned in the body without Prime suppressing the 'chains of her fate' in her soul, she could seek him out unless he took the initiative to do so.

Prime only grinned and didn't respond for a while, as though making the situation in suspense. And if that was really his intention, he succeeded in doing so. Zenesha was getting anxious with his silence.

And as she was being nervous each second that passed by, Prime chortled before leaning back on the couch and watching her expressions with amusement.

The corner of Zenesha's lips twitched as she almost wanted to hit his face. He enjoyed seeing her desperate and anxious expressions so much. Was he even human? Wait... he really wasn't. He was a dragon.

Fortunately, as Prime finally decided to stop making fun of her, he continued with his words. Zenesha really needed to get used to the other's peculiar personality if she still wanted to maintain her patience.

"You will decide when you want to see me," he answered casually.

Zenesha's brows furrowed, confused by this. "How can I do that?"

"Simple. Try to control the Spirit Shackles to some extent, and once you already have, I'll visit you personally." Prime's tone, though still casual, already held some solemnity.

"Spirit Shackles? Is that what they call the invisible threads chaining my soul?" Zenesha inquired, gaining insight. She could feel them but couldn't see these chains.

Prime nodded.

"Then how can I control it?" She then asked again; she had been wanting to do so but didn't have any ability to do so. Prime certainly was aware of this, so for him to say this, did it mean he had a method?

Prime sat upright in his seat and stared at her intently as he spoke, as though he wanted Zenesha to listen attentively.

"While Spirit Shackles can restrict souls to some extent, they are not absolute. With the help of a high-level existence, they can be suppressed. This method is the easiest and what I did to you, but it's also easy to be noticed." Prime spoke as Zenesha nodded and listened to him.

He continued, "This method is essentially a help from external factors and won't help you too much, and the anomaly can be easily noticed by those beings. So, the second method you need, and what I want you to do is control these threads initially."

Zenesha didn't interrupt Prime, even though her heart was already so eager to know the rest.

"Of course, at your level, controlling these threads is impossible. But that is only if you'll control them yourself." He grinned after a pause as he saw her expression brighten: "Yes, I'll lend you a hand to temporarily weaken them, but for controlling them, only you can do so."
