Two Peas in a Pod

Peregrine and I walked out of the alley with my pursuer in tow. My pursuers knees shook as he followed us. I had my arm hooked around Peregrine's. His gray eyes slid over to look at me. I chuckled as I said.

"Do you enjoy the view my dear? Don't worry on our wedding night you will do more than just look."

Peregrine's face reddened as he smirked and said.

"Oh? Are you already tempting me my dear fiancée?"

I took out my golden fan from my cloak and snapped it open as I covered my smile.

"And what if I am dear sir? Is it wrong for a girl such as myself to say sweet words to her handsome husband?"

Peregrine smiled before he said.

"Oh my, oh my! You've already resorted to calling me husband? How are you so sure that I won't break off this engagement? I don't love you after all?"

I quickened my steps and stood in front of Peregrine. I then stood on my tip toes as I caressed his cheek.

"Are you sure that you haven't fallen for me already my dear husband? Because you're beautiful wife has already fallen for you. Nothing else matters to me but your satisfaction and happiness. Are you sure that my words have not tickled your heart slightly my love?"

I drummed my fingers on his chest. Peregrine inhaled sharply as he flushed. I chuckled.

Oh this man was quite interesting. A suitable match for a villainous bitch such as myself. I looked over to see my pursuer foam at the mouth as he held back his vomit. His cringing was visible at me and Peregrine's sweet words.

I myself was on the edge of throwing up. This sugar coating was not my cup of tea. I usually use words that sting and burn not sweeten.

Peregrine then leaned in. His warm breath tickling the top of my right ear.

"My dear you are quite ravishing today. Even if you refrained from your use of such colorful vocabulary I would still long for you."

I pushed him away as I fanned myself. Damn it. This man was truly dangerous. He even adjusted to throwing my style right back at my face. I watched his lips turn upwards to form a mocking smile. My eyes slightly closed as I glared.

What a tough nut to crack. No matter. There will be many more opportunities. Frankly I was quite exhausted today. I had played quite a lot with a range of toys today. For that I am grateful that God has awarded me such an entertaining second life.

As Peregrine clasped my hand and led me forward down the main road of the marketplace onlookers fled. All the citizens and villagers ran once they saw Peregrine's face. The merchants shook as they covered their food and product stalls. In minutes the crowded street had been reduced to a ghost town. I smiled.

What a beautiful aura this man had. I turned to comment when my heart clenched. On Peregrine's face was a genuine look of extreme sadness. His grip on my hand intensified as he looked down.

God above!

Was this man actually sad about how the people treated him right now? For God's sake I wish that I had the same amount of authority. All of Junihire would be mine in that case.

I sighed as I turned to coax Peregrine. Suddenly a male voice cried out.

"Oh well if isn't Mister hated by all! Did you miss me?"

I snapped my fan shut as I looked at a noble man walk towards us. Peregrine's face immediately clouded as anger contoured it. Even the voice was annoying. This mother fucker must be quite the image.

I looked at the man. He had red, bead-like eyes and blonde hair. The smirk on his handsome face irritated me. I only hated two kinds of people. The people who are mean with no class and the pure innocent type of people. This man was a mix of my two dislikes. His doll-like face was innocent yet the shit that came out of his mouth was sloppy and just mean.

As a villainess I take time cultivating my insults and schemes. This fucker puts the reputation of villains deep in horse shit.

Ugh.

How pathetic.

Peregrine nodded and said.

"Aldonis. It is nice to meet you here."

Aldonis smirked as his eyes slid over to look at me. This man was the right hand advisor to Peregrine. His silver sharp tongue was renowned all over Junihire.

I openly gave him my death glare. Once someone pisses me off my true hatred comes spilling out.

"Oh Peregrine, who is this beautiful lady next to you? Is she your rumored fiancé?"

Peregrine nodded as he hugged me close to him. I smirked as I looked at Aldonis.

"My dear husband who is this rude man? Does he dare talk to a King in such a way? Doesn't he know about the consequences of slandering royalty?"

Aldonis chuckled as Peregrine smiled.

"Well isn't your future wife quite the bitch?"

Peregrine's eyes dulled as he smirked.

"My bitch of a wife is quite right Aldonis. Don't you know the consequence of slandering royalty? So why don't you pay her some respect. She is the future Queen of Devashire after all."

I smirked and opened my fan to cover my smile. What a dutiful husband. Despite his contribution I am never one to allow someone to slander me so easily.

"Sir Aldonis, if I may I would like to provide you some advice."

Aldonis smiled amusingly as he said.

"Go ahead my dear."

"I suggest that you refrain from your multiple visits to the brothels. I do not believe that your short stick down there can take any more."

I cackled as Aldonis's face twisted in a scowl. The multiple scandals surrounding his impotence were known to all. To relieve his shame and try to feel something this man visits the brothels only to leave forlorn. I heard a snort next to me. My eyes slid over to see Peregrine clear his throat after his chuckle.

"Well if you will excuse my wife and I. She must choose a dress for our engagement party tomorrow. I trust that you will attend Aldonis?"

Aldonis nodded before he glared at me. As Peregrine and h walked past him, Aldonis whispered.

"Don't get too cocky bitch. I can easily dethrone you."

I chuckled as I turned and whispered back.

"Try me. If you can dethrone me I'll change your status from horse shit to scum in my head."

Aldonis shook as I chuckled. Peregrine smiled as we walked towards the boutique. As we chatted, I felt a chill down my back. I chuckled nervously as I looked at the furious expressions on Vicktor, Radford, and Tulio's face.

God damn it. I forgot that I had told them to wait for me after ten minutes. It's already been over half an hour. Oh this was going to be bad.

Oh Lord, how are my dolls going to treat their master right now?
