Cowardy Villain
Bai Wan's plan for the night was actually simple. Unlike him, who was slow at cramming the scriptures of the beginner dual cultivation sutra, Xin Jie was faster. During their time together, she had mastered more than half of the total scriptures, while he had only mastered the first five.
If she was ahead of him, then their dual cultivation sessions in the future would be much to her advantage. As a greedy villain, he wouldn't like that.
"So this night, I'll cram that stuff, everything. Then with that, I'll be assured of a maximum harvest, as long as the other party hasn't moved up to the higher sutra," he thought as he made his way down his house.
However, he heard a faint sound behind him, like the grass rustling against itself. He tilted his head backward, and there was nothing behind him, at least, nothing he could see.
