Breakfast, it turned out, was not quite yet being served. This made perfect sense - it was early yet, apparently, even though she'd woken up easily enough. She wasn't exactly an early riser, but for whatever reason, perhaps the lingering stress from the nightmare, she'd woken early that day.
It wasn't all bad, though.
Being up early meant she didn't need to worry about being bundled off into the carriage immediately upon waking.
She had some time to freshen herself and get clean and dressed, and then she could leave the room to wander the inn's first floor until breakfast would be served.
The tavern wasn't bustling or particularly lively at that time - though they were open to serve the guests that were leaving from their stay, there weren't any such guests that morning. They were the only transient guests, and they weren't leaving yet.
