 Two weeks later, Lara had just arrived at her office when her new secretary rushed in, looking alarmed.

She looked at the older woman for a minute before asking what was wrong.

"Ms, the head programmer says he wants to speak with you; he says it is urgent," she said in one breath.

Lara simply smiled at her, making the woman calm down. " Tell him to call my office line" She watched the secretary walk out and couldn't help but compare her to Michael. She was more capable than him, but he had a more steady demeanor and never let his feelings slip out.

She stood at the panoramic window of her sleek, glass-walled office, gazing out over the sprawling city skyline. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden hue over the skyscrapers, and the world outside seemed to move at breakneck speed.
