Chapter 5

Eloise reached the hospital ten minutes later. An accident happened and the hospital was packed with people. Eloise took off her glasses and strode towards the reception. A young lady was sitting there.

"Excuse me. Can you check for me which ward Bella Gray is?" Eloise asked hurriedly. When the nurse looked up, she blushed hard. The young lady had never seen someone naturally beautiful as the woman standing infront of her.

Eloise was leaning forward, both of her hands on the table. Obviously, the nurse could see her face without make up on. Many celebrities had done surgery while some hide their faces with make up.

"...uh..wait a minute" The nurse regained her composure. "Bella Gray.... She's in ward 113, 2nd floor!" She exclaimed.

Eloise nodded and was about to turn around when she heard the nurse say "Please visit us again." How weird. No one would lik to visit a hospital. She looked at the nurse and gave her a smile before taking her leave.

The young nurse blushed again and was doubting her sexuality.

Eloise who did not know what she had caused reached the 2nd floor and paused when she saw the familiar faces of her so called family.

Her expression instantly darkened as she walked towards them. Lilian noticed a young maiden approaching them. Her face changed when she saw her beauty. Jealousy filled her heart.

The woman looked familiar to her and tried to remember where she saw her. After a few seconds, she recalled her! It was the woman she saw at the airport. Lilian wanted to pretend she knew medical so that she could save an old rich man. Alas! someone had to ruin her plans. She hated the woman more.

"Long time no see." Eloise said as she put on a smile that did not reach her eyes. Francis turned his head and was shocked to see a beautiful woman.

"Do we know you, young lady?" Carina, Lilian's mother asked. She was Eloise's step mother.

"Am i being abandoned the second time? Poor me!" Eloise said as she dramatically touched her chest. She could see the confusion in their eyes. It was entertaining. It put Eloise in a good mood. She glanced at the ICU and it was still on. Eloise decided to play with them for a while.

"What do you mean by that young lady? Who are you? State your name and your business here." Carina angrily shouted at her. She was already in a bad mood because of the fat first daughter of the family. Carina knew her mother in law, Bella never accepted her as a family. She is the chairman of the family business.

Bella Gray loved her two granddaughters but she loved Elli more. Carina was sure if Bella was to die, most of her properties would be handed to Elli.

"Now now, calm down. I don't want you dying so easily. That would be too disappointing." She chuckled and looked at them disdainfuly. Francis could not take it anymore and said "Young lady, we are having family problems here. Please do not disturb us. Tell us your name or something. If not, kindly leave us!"

Eloise looked at him up and down and said " I didn't know you could talk so humbly. What a surprise. You want to know my name? Well, i will give you trashes the honour to know my name."

They family of three looked at her. Their faces were disorted with angry. She observed unhurriedly and sat down. "Unlucky to meet you again, My name is Eloise Carla Russo. Did that ring a bell?" She said as she crossed her legs and leaned forward.

Francis was in a daze, searching for someone called Eloise but none came into his mind. Carina and Lilian looked at each other and realised something. Lilian was shocked.

"Wait....are you big sister?"

Eloise chuckled dryly," Looks like someone have brains!" She exclaimed.

When they heard her words, they were all shocked. The fat girl changed so much! Francis's face darkened as he said "What do you mean by Eloise you unfilial daughter! I named you Elli not Eloise!"

"Oh, Just like i have heard. You named me and threw me to the countryside when madre (mother) died. Do you still remember how old i was?" Eloise asked him. Her voice was cold and her eyes were dark.

"You! How dare you talk back to me? You are a Gray! I'm your father!" Francis roared at her. He was about to slap Eloise's face when Liam appeared out of nowhere and grabbed his hand. He was very fast that Francis could not even see him. "Boss, are you okay?" Liam asked, still holding Francis's hand.

Eloise looked at him and nodded. "Its not like i needed your help. I can take on this piece of trash." It was not like Eloise was lying. She had been practicing martial arts since eight years ago. It even helped her lose weight.

"I know boss, but it's my duty to protect you so that you can't dirty your hands." Liam replied.

Eloise ordered Liam to let go of him as she wanted to talk to him. He nodded and let go of his hand. "Dear father. You say I'm a Gray, but why do i remember the day i entered the Gray mansion. You clearly told me that i should take my madre's surname, Russo. Why? Because of your other wife and daughter! As i was young, i did not understand the reason for changing my surname but now i do. Very clearly. You did not want your loving wife and daughter to appear as a mistress and illegitimate daughter, right?" Eloise said without batting an eye.

Francis wanted to retort back but had no words. Seeing this, Eloise smiled " Why? Have i hit a painful spot? Let me remind you again. Mr. Francis Gray, I, Eloise Carla Russo, am not your daughter. Keep in mind that this family is save because of grandma Bella. If not for her, you would have perished long ago." Eloise sat down when she uttered those words. She did not even bother looking at them. She was waiting for the surgery to end.

Lilian could not believe her eyes. How could the fat ugly Elli change this much? She was extremely jealous to the point she wanted to ruin her sister. Suddenly an idea popped in her mind. She turned her head to look at Liam who was standing few meters away from Eloise. Lilian stood up and walked to Eloise.

"Sister, Who is this man? Is he your boyfriend?" She asked loudly, intentionally gaining the attention of Francis Gray and Carina.

They looked at Liam and Eloise and then looked at each other waiting for Eloise to answer. Eloise leaned back on the stainless steel waiting chair. She looked at Lilian and understood what she was playing at.

"No. Why? You like him? Don't worry he's not my boyfriend. You can have him..but that's only if he wants you. Too bad he doesn't like your type." Eloise grinned at her but her eyes were cold. Lilian was taken aback. How can she like a gigolo like this? She already had her eyes on her boss at the company she worked in.

"That's not what i meant sister! It's just that.....you have not returned for eight years. We did not even know where you went. Suddenly, you have someone protecting you. If he's not you boyfriend then...." She deliberately did not finish her words.

When Francis understood her words, he instantly became furious. "You! If he's not your boyfriend then who is he? Don't tell me you sold your body? I know the Russo family are nothing. If not, your mother would have told me! Tell me who is the man you are sleeping with!"

"Dear, come down. Maybe our Elli likes him. We should give her our blessings so that they can get married." Carina behaved like a loving mother and turned to Eloise. "Elli, quick tell us! who is the man? How old is he? We'll definitely give you our blessings. But no matter what, You cannot sleep with a married man!" She said the last words sternly as if Eloise had sugar daddy.

Eloise was amused by their act. They would be popular if they joined the entertainment industry. Maybe she should hire them for her industry in Hong-Kong.

"Carina, why are you acting like you are not a mistress yourself? What do they say? 'The kettle calling the pot black'. Was that it? Too bad I'm not the pot you are talking of. I'm not as stupid as you." Eloise then stared at the father-daughter duo.

" You two do know that slandering is a crime nowadays right? I can sue you and bring the cctv as an evidence. You should be careful. Not everyone is as nice as me."

Francis was about to talk back when the ICU opened. Three doctors made their way out of the room. Francis ran to him and clasped his hands. "Doctor, how is my mother?"

The doctor in the middle looked at him and answered honestly. "As i have said before, she had brain tumor. Thank god, the surgery was successful. She will wake up tomorrow but it will take four to eight weeks for her to recover completely. You should take good care of her. She cannot withstand strong emotions like shock or surprise. Be careful." The doctor said before walking away.

Eloise was relieved when she heard this. She would come back tomorrow. She looked at the trio's faces. They looked disappointed. Eloise had ominous feeling. Instead of feeling happy, they looked upset.

She immediately understood their plans. So they wanted her grandma to die just for them to take over the family business. She would never let them have their way.

"Liam. Tell four soldiers to guard grandma's room. They should check everyone who comes in. Even the doctors and nurses. Also prepare a VIP room for her to rest in." She ordered Liam.

Liam obviously understood what his boss meant. His boss's family was really cruel to the point of killing their own blood. Even Mafias did not work like that. "Yes boss. Rest assured."

"Give me the car keys. I'll go back myself."

Liam gave her the keys and he went to the reception to book a VIP room.

Eloise turned to look at the Gray family before turning and walking towards the elevator.

When Eloise reached parking lot, She found her car. She got in and drove off back to the hotel.
