Chapter 29 (Pact Formation)
Yamato stares at the tied lady with confusion as it wasn't what he expected. He thought that she would be more muscular and armored but rather her body figure was normal, and she was wearing thin armor which had cracks on it.
"Stop staring at me. You are making me even more annoyed." she says with dreadful look in her eyes.
"Annoyed? Oh sorry, it must be uncomfortable for you to be stared at. I was just confused." Yamato says while grinning.
"Confused? DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MADE ME WAIT AND SUFFER IN THIS BOTTOM OF NO WHERE." she yells, trying to break the chains.
"Ouch ouch ouch, these chains are hard..."
"Umm, sorry for making you wait though it isn't all my fault. So just to be sure, you are the former general right?"
"Yeah, are you not satisfied by looking at me? How about a dual then?"
"I don't think you are in a shape for a dual though."
"You are right, anyways just to confirm, you are the vessel right?"
"Yeah I suppose I am."
"Can you talk to that Spirit?"
"Yes, and she talks a lot to be honest."
"There is no reason to be honest for some stuff Yamato.". Akari says as she digs pain inside Yamato's head
"Ouch! STOP DOING THAT!"
"Uhh who are you talking to?"
"The spirit you just mentioned."
"Oh, I was told that she was super cold and had no emotions and had a big blood thirst. This was the reason I was told to eliminate her."
"Cold, blood thirst? That's rare and nor do I find her personality that way."
"I AM NOT LIKE THAT EITHER."
"Then did the kings lied to us? Seriously? After all that trouble, I was just following the commands of a liar?"
"It seems so..."
"You should give more expressions you expressionless brat."
"I don't think you should be talking like that while seized with chains. I have a sword you know, I can literally just slice your neck off."
"But I know you won't because you need intel, and only I have it."
"We'll see about that. Akari use the mind control spell to read her mind and force the Intel out of it."
"Okay, but It might kill her."
"That's ok."
"WAIT WAIT WAIT I'LL MIND MY MANNERS JUST DON'T MAKE ME USELESS."
"Alright then, how about we form a pact."
"What form of pact?"
"An alliance pact. You were close to the king, so you are a great asset. If you team up with me and be loyal, I'll help you get your revenge. Don't ask me how I know about your feelings, I can sense an aura of justice from you."
"Hmm, okay. I'll form a pact with you. I'll fight by your side until my last breath. I'll offer my life for you in return of justice."
"Okay, then let's make it official."
"O-official? Only if you take the responsibility."
"Responsibility? Uh okay."
"Then come here. Let's make it official."
Yamato gets closer to Celestine, and she starts to cast a spell.
"Hey Akari, is that an offensive spell?"
"No, but it will surprise you."
Celestine casts the spell and says "CONTRACT ENHANCE. FORGE A CONTRACT WITH THE TARGET IN FRONT OF ME AS PER I SWEAR MY LOYALTY. CAST PACT!"
As she completes the cast, Yamato starts getting pulled towards Celestine until their foreheads touched each other.
"Do you agree to forge the pact?" she blushingly says.
"Uhh yes."
The moment he replied, the pact made have a direct contact with a kiss and enchanted the contract of loyalty.
"You have to take the responsibility." she says with a red face.
"What the hell just happened?" Yamato dully asks.
"That's the procedure to forge a pact. I also went through it, you know."
"Ahh okay."
Suddenly a light appeared below Celestine which first looked like an attack but in reality, it was a healing magic which is a result of a newly created pact to make sure of the safety of the users.
"Now I feel good, but these chains though, I still can't break them."
"Leave them to me."
Yamato again pulls out his dagger and starts to charge it with fire. He puts maximum amount of fire that the blade can resist and slices through the chains in a second while Celestine with her mouth opened is in a state of pure confusion.
"How did you....that blade was supposed to be common." she says in confusion.
"Well it could store magic, so I just use it as a staff. Nothing weird about it right?" Yamato replies casually
"Yamato, what you did is totally abnormal as only 30 percent of people in our world can store magic in magic storage compatible sword or daggers." Akari stats to clear the confusion.
"Ohh that makes me rare then I guess."
"OF COURSE IT DOES. FIRST THE SPIRIT IS A MYSTERY AND NOW HER VESSEL TOO? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING WITH THIS UNIVERSE." she yells.
'Uhh nothing. Anyways let's go out. My only task was to retrieve you and that I have done so let's go."
"Yamato you are forgetting something." Akari says.
"What?"
"Imagine you take her to the surface, what will the people think? The so-called hero is saving a demon? They still have trust issues so taking her straight isn't a good idea."
"Now that I think about it, you are correct. So what should we do..... I do have an idea, but it might hurt the pride of the general."
"Hurt my pride? I don't even have it anymore and nor I am the once known general. My life choices are all in your hand, and you can do whatever you want with it."
"Ok than, my plan is to take you out as a prisoner and then make the announcement of our contract. I can manipulate their minds easily, so it won't create a huss."
"Being a prisoner will put an effect on my respect, but I guess we have no choice right now so let's get moving. I'll be the prisoner more or less."
"Okay then, pull your hands out."
"Why?"
"Just do it."
As she pulls her hands out, Yamato ties them with the chain he took from the bottom.
"Oh, nicely done human."
"I have a name you know, so please call me with that."
"Okay Yamato."
"Yeah nice."
Yamato takes Celestine to the surface while protecting her from the attacks of the minions and as they reached the light, there were many people waiting for Yamato to come out.
"HERE HE COMES, OUR HERO HAS RETURNED."
Everyone supporting Yamato was filled with joy and taking care of Yamato's needs and when they saw the general as a prisoner, their joy increased and the ruckus.
"I wonder what would happen if I took you out like I was protecting you."
"They would launch fireworks on you."
"Yeah..."
Yamato takes her to the stage and inhales with suspense to give a dramatic environment.
"Today, I have retrieved one of the most important assets to stop the unjustified acts of the kings from the other world. This person with me is a demon who has been betrayed by the king with fake information about myself. She was once the general means right now this is the only living library which has the records of the king's actions. So I hereby declare a peace contract with her, and she will work with me to defeat those unfair invaders by revealing the secrets of the kings." Yamato announced.
"Do you think we can trust her like that?"
"Well...." before Yamato could finish, Celestine comes ahead and says.
"Let me handle it."
She takes the sword of Yamato and asks him to hold it.
He held it straight and Celestine then starts to cut her self from neck slowly.
"I trust him enough that I know he won't kill me and right now, I can too kill him because his other sword is still free and in close combat I am more experienced than him. And also I have enough power to wipe out every one of you. So have faith in me and trust me, I shall not leave you with a complaint as I know all about the stuff that you don't." she says.
