27 THE ALARM BUTTON (LEIRA)

The sight of Dennise's car, which was about to get inside the motel, was Leira's focus.

"There they are, follow them inside that motel," Leira kept on slapping John's shoulder to hurry him up. She didn't want to lose them. She even wanted to stay in the closest room to them.

"Okay… Okay … no need hurting me," John whined.

Just when the door rolled down to cover Dennise's car, Leira's car reached the next parking space. If they came just a little bit late, they surely wouldn't know which parking or room Dennise and Eric will occupy.

However, the building was just a two-story building with rooms on the second floor and its own parking just below every room. Therefore, there will be no hallways to access every customer to another room, and stealthiness was well served.

Leira didn't anticipate that the situation to stop Dennise was the need of doing something with that guy and it would be that hard. She thought it would be easy for her to knock on the next room door to distract them.

John parked the car, and as soon as the car stopped and parked the light in the exclusive parking lot, it turned automatically on, with the roll-up door slowly rolled down. The parking room was just a simple quadrilateral room with a little spiral stair in one corner.

John was smiling all the time as he was anticipating some actions later. However, Leira was a bit troubled, not even thinking a bit, or just forgot that she had some companion - she utterly forgot about John.

Of course, her purpose of being there didn't include Jhon since he was just a prop so that she can follow Dennise. She doubts if she can even get inside the building if she was alone, basing on the shu-shu she heard.

"You don't really need to stay in a room beside your friend. You will have both your own business. You can't even hear each other," John remarked as he took his shirt off and went straight to the bathroom.

Leira raised her eyebrow, and she knew exactly what's on John's mind at that moment. He was expecting something that was out of Leira's intention. She didn't come there to be coupling with John. She was there to distract Dennise's possible hanky-panky with Eric.

She was jealous, or rather the correct word would be obsessed? Or was she simply caring for Dennise, and she didn't want her to be played by boys. Even though she was totally aware that things like this could be just a pastime for Dennise, she was just overreacting and exaggeratedly protecting Dennise, who never actually needed protection. Or maybe, she was just doing it for herself. She grew so fond of Dennise that she didn't want her to be with anyone else anymore. She felt jealous.

But with just the look of it. It seemed John got the point; her being in that room was no use. She still can't stop whatever was about to happen between Dennise and Eric. She was simply just a loser. If she only knew what happened, why she was found unconscious somewhere, why she pulled herself away from Dennise's side, maybe, she wouldn't find time to meet Eric or meet any other guy that night.

However, she didn't even remember a single thing that happened before that. Why she fell asleep or collapse. It seemed some part of her time was missing.

But that's not what was important for her at that moment. She wanted Dennise to get out of that room and stop her from whatever she was about to be doing. She didn't even understand why Dennise felt excited to go with Eric when she just met him that night.

Maybe, Dennise was simply that kind of celebrity, playgirl that loves bitching around.

If she got used to hearing about a playboy story, this time, she would probably be seeing one of the playgirl stories. They said playboys are deadly, will I say, as well as playgirls.

Leira knew for herself that she just couldn't wait there, for Dennise to finish nor for John to go out of the bath and will try to get it on with her. However, she didn't want the feeling of being trapped, and she still believed that she could handle this and everything was just at the tip of her hand.

She looked around the room, every corner, she took the perfect time that John was still inside the toilet. Leira pressed her ears to the walls, where she assumed the room behind it was where Dennise was.

That's when she noticed on the upper side of the wall was an emergency alarm button. She squinted her eyes,

thinking of something,

A plan,

A terrible plan, perhaps.

And without even thinking twice or backing herself up. Instead, she utterly and unhesitatingly pushed the button, and as the alarm started blaring on the entire building, it was just the moment that she panicked.

She just realized the craziness of the thing that she had just done. She froze in a moment until she saw John coming out from the toilet with just a towel wrapped in the middle part of his body.

"Leira, let's go," John pulled her out of the room, and as soon as they got down the stairs, all the roll-up doors in every room were open. The car's coming out from every parking room, and some are even bumping into each other, causing traffic, and most of the customers were just simply running their way out since all the vehicles were trapped.

Leira was starting to feel anxious about how big the disturbance she just made. Yet, she didn't even know if her plan actually worked. She had to check it, though, and immediately she ran to the next parking room where Dennise and Eric stayed, only to find a middle-aged woman and middle-aged man running down the spiral stairway.

Her shoulder fell, as she wanted to slap her face so much after she realized that she followed the wrong car. How can she even fail to know that there could be the same model as Dennise's car? Now, she just created a public hassle that surely was against the law without even getting the result she planned. For sure, somewhere out there, Dennise was still with Eric, both enjoying the night.
