HE'S JUST A PROPS (LIERA)

Together with a deep sigh, Leira had no other choice but to shut her mouth on Dennise's decision. It's not time for her to quit. She had to make sure that Dennise had reached her home safely because she didn't trust that Erik guy, especially when Dennise herself acted playful and flirty with him the whole night.

"Can't I just ride with you in your car?" Leira blurted out. She knew for herself that she was actually asking for some weird stuff from Dennise, but she couldn't help it.

"Leira, dear, I know you are my best friend. But, can you give me some tonight? Well, actually, it's not totally my night. Since I will have Erik around and we will be going somewhere private for an after-party event. I bet you know what after party means, right?" Dennise smirked in a flirty way again. That caused Leira's blood to start boiling.

Leira wanted to make havoc at the moment. However, she still was able to control herself with a sigh and a pretentious shrug. However, inside her mind was another plan forming. What if she will just go with the guy (Erik's friend). Since Dennise asked him to drive her, maybe she'll just ride on Dennise's idea. He will go with this guy and just follow Dennise and Erik.

To start working on her plan, she stood up from the bed. She needed to be away from that bed to follow Dennise since Dennise was already preparing herself to go.

"Wait, Dennise, me and… what's your name?" Leira asked over the guy Dennise wanted her to date. However, it's far from what's in her mind.

"I'm John."

"Okay, John and I will have to go too." Leira awkwardly said, and while she looked around her, every one of her friends, including Dennise, looked at her in surprise.

"Well, I guess you made the right decision. You better go back home this early, because it seems that you are actually not feeling well. Takecare bestie, and please rest well. John, take care of my bestie, okay?" Dennise pointed out to John with a warning glare.

"Don't worry. I will only give her what she wants if she wants to go back home. I will be sending her home. But maybe, just maybe, if she wants to have some fun first, I will give her more than the fun she expected." John smirked while looking at Leira with the side of his eyes.

Leira wanted to throw up on what she heard, except she needed to act normal and let all her friends, especially Dennise, see that she was feeling fine not only physically but also emotionally.

As soon as Dennise and Erik disappear through the door, she abruptly pulls John towards the door as she waved her other friend goodbye. They all went speechless for a moment while looking over Liera.

Leira, in haste, got inside the car and attempted to ignite the engine while totally forgetting about John. Suppose she doesn't only need a man to get inside where Dennise and Eric possibly are going. She wouldn't want John to get inside her car.

However, she possibly needed him as a prop later. So she went out of her car and looked over to John, who had been observing her actions with a furrowed brow.

"Here, take the key," She dumped the car key in John's hand, and not waste another minute, she got inside and seated the shotgun seat.

John's furrowed brow shifted to squinty smiley eyes as he threw and caught the key, thinking that he would look cute that way and impressed Leira.

But still, Leira was already kicking over as she was looking at the Dennise car starting to roll.

"Can you start the car now?" Leira's voice stressed. Somehow, she forgot to hide her irritation.

Good thing that this boy, John, really was a cool dude that, even he had started to get annoyed at Leira being so demanding that he sometimes even felt like he was just her driver. He still tried to calm down.

'Do you know where Dennise and Eric are going?" Leira asked if she still felt anxious about Dennise. She doesn't want to take her eyes away from her.

"As expected to some motel or lodge, most probably," John replied while glimpsing Leira in the side of her eyes. He finds it hard to guess Leira's personality. He had been with a lot of girls before, sorority girls, actually. They all love boys like Dennise, but this new group of girls was different, except Dinnese. So who was the only one to do what was expected? Sure, some, especially the new one, acted like it was their first time and didn't go out with boys, just like their other friend. But Leira was truly hard to read. She agreed to go out with a guy, but he didn't feel that she was flirting with him.

"Then let's go to that motel too. First, however, you have to make sure that we will only be going to where my friend will be going. That means you will have to follow Dennise's car. If you lost them, then I'm not going somewhere with you, and I'll kick you out of my car." Leira looked straight and squinted her eyes while observing John as she was about to answer her.

"Wow, great game, a challenge and a reward kind of stuff, huh? You are cool. I like you," John complimented Leira, but all Leira can't compliment him back. All she could offer him was raising an eyebrow and getting more annoyed for how he took things that way.

He was just thinking that stuff like having sex with her was just a simple reward thing. The more she hated to trust a guy and never wanted to be with any. Even though before she had experienced a failure of a relationship with a girl, she still can take it. Because it was her who offered.

But before that, she actually had been terribly hurt by the first boy he fell in love with. That boy made her decide that she would never be in love with a boy again.
