Gold Rush 3

Standing among the crowd of beautiful men and women was an unlikely duo. Two girls dressed in maid like outfits stared ahead. The lights were centered around the man on stage.

One of the girls yawned before whispering

"Is that guy really the innkeeper?"

Her partner replied.

"He looks strong. I can feel the spirits around him. Or should i call them shadows? They're not many but he doesn't seem to be weak at all..."

"Good analysis princess" The girl replied before giving a loud yawn.

The men and woman found this action rude but they did not actively tell her to stop. They slowly distanced themselves from them.

The duo still didn't seem to notice and continued their conversation.

"Apathy. If We get Will what he needs do you think we can beat him?"

"Maybe. It'll be one big gamble."

Belle gave Apathy a sideways glance. " Funny "

A few hours earlier....

Five people were sat around a table.

At the head of the Table was Will and at his sides were Apathy and Davie. Apathy was yawning and drifting in and out of consciousness it seemed as if she was just a moment away from slumber at any point in time. Davie on the other hand had revolver spinning on his index finger. Every once in a while he'd toss it in the air and catch it.

and the other end Virgil sat peacefully.

"So whats the plan?"

"Oh- I have no plan. For this to work it has to be fluid and flexible! Hahaha"

Belle was Sitting one chair further away from Will and she was peacefully reading her book. Her eyes would drift away every now and then and she'd look unfocused but as Virgil uttered those words she snapped back to reality.

"So what do we do?"

"Well while I didn't have a plan I never said I didn't have objectives"

Will who had remained passive leaned in.

"

Objective Number 1. Get into the manor

Objective Number 2. Find where the innkeeper keeps his permanent residents.

Objective Number 3....

Inside the hall the innkeeper patiently waited for the crowd to quiet down after his flamboyant introduction.

He sleazily strutted in his red and orange striped tuxedo. His vibrant hazel eyes surveyed the crowd and as his conductor's hat fell below his face he let of a sadistic smile.

"Now ladies and gentlemen. I hope to keep you in for as long as I can"

He savily twrled his can and stamped it on the floor. The lights went out and he disappeared from his spot.

The crowed left him with a rowdy round of applause for his magician like act.

"An entertainer at heart that innkeeper is"

In the back of the audience Will and Davie were glaring at the spot he disappeared from.

Davie frowned deeply and commented

"Woah woah. That trick wasn't your regular parlor trick. He literally faded into the shadows as soon as the lights went out."

" I suddenly feel a bit unlucky" a drop of sweat ran down his brow and he had a scary smile on his face.

They walked out the entrance to the Hall. Trailing behind them were Belle and Apathy.

They had similar expressions to Will and Davie Belle even more so. She shuddered and said

"I don't think that was just a light show."

"Yeah!" Will wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"Lets hurry up and get this done"
