The Ikimono Kingdom?

The Ikimono Kingdom. Even though it's named "Ikimono" Kingdom, it is completely ruled by humans and Demi-humans are basically pets. There are two types of classification for Demi-Humans. The first is a Demi-Human, which has animal characteristics but are as strong or sometimes even weaker than the average human.

The large number of Demi-humans is also the reason for them being treated as either pets of slaves with only a slightly better sense of hearing, smell, or eyesight depending on which animal they take after, which is almost always a domesticated house pet such as a cat or dog,

The second type of Demi-human is the Beastkin. Animal characteristic are always that of a wild animal and it also affects a Beastkin's personality. Even if you have mostly dog genes, as long as there's even one percent of a wild animal I you, it is considered a Beastkin.

Even though Demi-humans and Beastkin almost look the same, major differences can tell them apart. An example would be behavior and power. Demi-humans are docile and weak compared with a feral and powerful Beastkin that inherits traits from their beast blood.

The Ikimono Kingdom takes advantage of that trait as well. It's rare for the normal citizens to have one, due to the sheer power, but it is different for the army and royal family.

The royal family sometimes get Beastkin that are captured by hunters or advemturers, using magic, and get paid a large sum depending on what type of Beastkin it is. Since powerful and controllable Beastkin are very valuable.

Basically, the Beastkin are classified as a wild animal that's legal to be hunted and captured, while the Demi-humans are only pets or slaves to their masters. A cruel hierarchy in the kingdom.
