44 Sniping The Khapex's Witch
The ground trembles beneath Zed's feet as he marches forward with his comrade, the formation is still intact even though they are marching it's like there's a magnet between the Lovlarix soldiers.
The artillery of the Lovlarix is running ahead than the infantry, some of the long-range mages started to fly as they march while the others burning with their own element.
After the artillery is close enough to the marching Khapex the captains shouted, "Artillery halt! Ready your spells!".
As the artillery of the Lovlarix halts their march, the Khapex marches even faster as the water beneath their feet rises up and covers all of the Khapex like a bubble of water.
The distance between them is narrowing by the seconds, when they are two hundred meters apart, "Fire!" each captain simultaneously told their respective regiment to fire with all they got.
BOOM! SWOOSH!
All kinds of spells are bombarding the Khapex as they march, the deafening sound makes Zed's ear went ringing even though he is in the middle of the regiment.
Out of all the spells, Zed can see many spells that are more powerful than the others even Zed himself cannot stop the spells with his Thermopylae skills. There are water and fire frevor that gathers turning into a two-headed dragon that charges at the Khapex, another familiar spell that produced dark dots that fall to the marching Khapex just like Joel Wells' skill.
The effect of each of those spells makes the ground trembles as debris scattered frantically, the debris that flew because of the impact is like a projectile that can severely hurt a Mage Rank fighter.
Dust and smoke cover the whole surrounding making Zed cannot even see the person next to him but he can still keep up because of the bumping sound of metal with someone behind him when moving back a little.
The Lovlarix didn't wait for the smoke and dust to clear as they change formation to make the Infantry section takes charge of the army, the smoke clear, and revealed the after-effect of the bombardment.
The water bubble that covers the whole Khapex has many holes on it, many soldiers upon soldiers of Khapex lie down on the ground dead while their comrade that is still alive step on them and still march without showing any kind of sympathy.
"Soldiers! March forward! Give no time for the Khapex to fire their volley of spells without making them kill their own!" the saber on the captain's back is loose as he points it forward in the midst of the army.
With the successful attack, the Lovlarix march forward, fearless.
The Khapex formation is back to normal after they step through the fallen soldiers, They run frantically to smash their shield with the Lovlarix.
Zed positioned further forward because of the exchange between infantry section and artillery section, He embraces himself to collide with the marching Khapex.
CLANG!
The sound of metal hitting metal was heard when both armies collide, the collision aftermath is not just a loud sound but also raging elements that clash with other elements that produce a spark of frevor that attacks the surrounding soldiers.
The scene went chaos, hundreds of soldiers died within the first minute of clashing, burnt bodies, cleaved bodies, obliterated bodies are littered everywhere as the grey colored ground dyed red by the blood of the fallen soldiers.
As the frontline diminish, Zed's turn to dwell in hell soon arrived.
"Arrgghh!"
With the miserable shout of the soldiers in front of him, Zed engaged with the Khapex.
With his Spearmanship, Zed cut down his foes easily as he dodges the swords, clubs, axes of the enemy.
The battle is chaos, the smell of corpses, and blood covers Zed's nose making Zed stomach growl in the midst of battle. Zed didn't hide all his prowess, he goes in an all-out mode.
"Bloody Saints, Watch out!!"
Zed heard it as he fights with the enemy in front of him when suddenly a shadow covers the sun.
Zed looks up and saw a gigantic thing heading his way, he immediately jumped backward to avoid the fallen thing and activate his Thermopylae skill to defend his surrounding by the fallen thing impact.
The fallen thing smash down hard to where Zed is standing seconds ago, Zed looks up and saw many of those things falling from the sky after some kind of spell was used.
ROAR!
The fallen thing actually is a water golem, they are big and have a humanoid appearance on its upper half and a water vortex on its lower half.
Their hands turn into a club and they started massacring the surrounding Lovlarix soldiers, one Water Golem takes countless life of Lovlarix. The golem is equivalent to a Noble Mage Rank with a more powerful body than human's Noble Mage Rank.
Zed's eyes went bloodthirst, looking at ally soldiers fallen to their death because one spell that the Khapex used makes Zed's blood boil.
Zed's eyes turn bright blue as he swings his spear up and brought it crashing down to the Water Golem, the Water Golem blocked it using its thick water arm but to its surprise, the power behind Zed's swing is too strong for it to handle.
The Water Golem's arms are sliced off because of Zed's slash but it regrows back.
Looking at this Zed didn't hesitate to use his spear to engage in a close-quarter fight with the Water Golem, Zed's Spearmanship is on full display as he fights with the Water Golem.
The Water Golem prove to be stronger than human's Noble Mage Rank, it can regrow back anything that Zed slices making takes a heavy breath in between.
Zed's eyes are looking to his surrounding trying to find some kind of core inside the Water Golem but to no avail, because the water is blurry making Zed cannot see through the Water Golem.
'Having more of these things will surely make the Lovlarix step into a disadvantage position' Zed thought in his head while he keeps the Water Golem busy, While fighting the Water Golem, Zed decided to look towards the Khapex backline to find the culprit of this powerful spell.
Zed slit his eyes as he tries to look further to the backline of the Khapex, after seconds of searching the captain notice from the back that Zed is trying to find the witch to no avail.
The captain with a saber on his hand slit his eyes, "See Through", his eyes glow silver as he looked at the Water Golem.
"Zed Lenvers", Zed heard the captain talk to him telepathically as he listens, "The Water Golem has a core on the middle of the water vortex in his lower part, The culprit is on the far right of the Khapex formations, Do you think you can snipe her?"
Zed looks at his far right in the midst of battle and sees a figure chanting non-stop, "Yes, I think I can" replied Zed inside his head.
The culprit is clad in a deep-sea hooded robe, the culprit is always chanting a spell in the backline as the golem started to increase from four to eight scattered in the middle of the Lovlarix formation making the formations turn into chaos.
Zed eyes went bloodthirst looking to his surrounding Lovlarix soldiers that die because of the golem, 'That bloody witch needs to die'.
He brings out his new throwing spear from his magic pouch and takes a deep breath.
Zed locked the target on his eyes, the Water Golem brought its fist crashing down to Zed, Zed dodges it by jumping high to the sky making a gap to snipe the witch.
Zed looks like a warlord in the sky with his jet black throwing spear, the veins on his muscular body are showing, his shoulder-length black hair is sizzling in the sky, with his blue eyes the onlookers feel a sinister aura coming from him.
He musters all his strength on his right arm as thunder frevor gathers to his right arm, Zed unleashed his spear-throwing locking the witch as his target.
BOOM!
As the spear left Zed's hand it tears through the air making a sonic boom sound, the air is pierced easily by the spear as a spark of lightning was produced by the friction between metal and wind.
Many soldiers cannot help but look up towards Zed, The spear is like a judgment sent from heaven to tear through the wicked witch.
The Witch didn't have the time to react but the guy clad in deep-blue armor with a blue majestic sword on his waist step in and tries to block Zed's spear.
He unleashed his sword and does a skill, his water sword is intensely gathering the water frevor on the surrounding as he thrust his sword forward making a water dragon come out of it and heading to Zed's raging spear.
ROAR!
The Water Dragon is roaring while it speeds up its speed to Zed's spear.
SLASH!
Zed's spear tears through the Water Dragon easily like butter, the man that made the Water Dragon is shocked as he raises his sword to block Zed's spear.
The clash makes a spark from the collision between metal and metal, the man uses his all to block the spear even his head turn red because of exerting his all.
CRACK!
To the surprise of the surrounding Khapex, the man's majestic blue sword is broken by the pressure, the spear still ragingly thrust forward piercing the man and the witch which was behind him simultaneously and still push them backward.
The power behind Zed's throw is massive that the spear didn't stop until it slammed a nearby small hill and pinning both the man and the witch with it.
