(Let me live in it)

We don't even know who moves first but we're suddenly so close that his lips are almost touching mine.

"What are you doing, Richards" I try to make sense even though my own lips are shaking and unintentionally rubbing them on his own. He doesn't reply but keeps on brushing his lips against mine in a soft whisper.

"Alden..." I look at him and his eyes turn silvery for a moment...I think I'm just hallucinating.

"Say that again" his voice is rough and a shiver runs down my body.

"say what" I don't know what's happening, I would like a translator at this point of time or any distraction which can help me clear my mind.

"My name...say my name again" He almost pleads as if hearing his name on my lips is something he only imagined.

"Alden, I don't...I don't think we should do it...it's wrong and..."

"shhhh" I shiver under his command.

"Let's not think about what's wrong and what's right... for a minute, Angel. You have no idea how many times I've imagined this and in how many different ways. Let me live in it" He stares in my eyes and I can see raw emotions and along with that a fear which makes me frown.

"What're you talking about, Richards" As soon as I say his name a headlight blinds us and he pushes away from me like I'm some diseased animal. Fucking Stupid...I can't believe I almost  fell for him. 

"Shi, I was looking for you...why the hell didn't you tell me that you were leaving. I've been trying your cell phone for so long" Rae's voice makes me come out of my stupor and I pull out my phone from my purse and look at it.

"Shit...it's dead. I must've forgotten to charge it" I tend to do that sometimes as I don't have many people to contact.

"No, you charged it in front of me. Switch it on" she's looking at Alden as if he's a bug that she wants to crush. I do as she asked and Viola....my battery is actually full.

"You're right. It's full...I must've switched it off by mistake" She's still not looking at me but at Alden and he's avoiding her gaze. Weird...

"yeah...that must be it. Come on let's go. It's getting late and this area is not safe either, you never know when some wild animal might attack you" I can't help but feel that she's projecting those words at Alden. Does she think of Alden as an animal...I mean, I'm not a fan of him either but even I wouldn't put him in that category.

"Unless, you would like to stay with him", I can see Cade patiently waiting in the car. He doesn't even bother to come out.

"No, I'll come with you" I couldn't have said it faster. Despite of whatever just happened between me and Alden, if he can't even look at me right now...then I'm thankful to Rae to come for my rescue and saveing me from making any mistake.

I sit in the back as Cade starts the car. As we move, I see him through the rear-view mirror, Alden is still standing at the same spot he'd been, staring back at me through the mirror until he disappears.
