Chapter 57 Portal To DC Universe
Leon was oblivious to the occurrences within the universe, and even if he had knowledge, he remained indifferent.
His capabilities emanate from his own strength and self-assurance.
He stands as the sole Doomsday to have endured the core of the Sun for a staggering 100,000 years. How does this compare to the so-called Golden Superman?
Even the Celestial entities in the universe hold no sway over him.
In truth, it serves as evidence that Leon battled against Darkseid a hundred millennia ago, already transcending into a Multiversal Level.
And let's not disregard the present, nor the next 100,000 years.
Need I emphasize the sheer might of Darkseid's physique?
The mere presence of Darkseid's form alone poses a threat capable of triggering the universe's collapse that he ventures into.
The implosion of his godhead nearly obliterated the entire DC Multiverse, necessitating countless superheroes, including Superman, to band together and stabilize the encompassing multi-universe.
Even the entirety of the Justice League had to invoke the power of God to compensate for the vacancy left by Darkseid's physicality. This serves as undeniable proof.
It was Leon who repelled Darkseid's corporeal manifestation a hundred millennia ago.
Such is the power of Leon. One careless step and he could literally tread upon the Earth.
Returning to the present moment...
The Ancient One remains oblivious to the recent events. Her realm extends only to the level of God Father, incapable of reaching even the level of a Single Universe. Otherwise, she would not have relied on the strength of the three Sanctum Sanctorums to resist Dormammu.
Dormammu, as the ruler of the dark dimension, is at least on the level of a Single Universe or Cosmic Level.
It is regrettable that he could not breach Earth's defenses, perpetually coveting its consumption.
Leon extended his hand, retrieving the Time Gem from the Ancient One's grasp and clutching it within his palm.
As he drew closer to the Time Gem and continued to observe its inherent power, Leon found his understanding of time growing clearer.
In the fourth and even the third dimension, people have long believed that time is uncontrollable, merely witnessing everything that transpires in the world.
Once surpassing the speed of light, it becomes imperceptible at a certain point.
What, then, can record its existence?
The answer lies solely in time.
However, only upon reaching the fifth dimension and beyond does one realize that time is not as enigmatic as once thought.
To fifth-dimensional beings, time is a mere "object or thing" easily subject to control.
Time is neither static nor continuous.
It can flow backward or forward, even possessing different existence, laws, and concepts within distinct spaces.
Space and time are two interconnected yet separate laws.
Space determines the significance of time, while time provides the trace of space's existence.
They complement each other, and only when existing simultaneously in time and space do they achieve wholeness.
Leon found himself astounded. Though he had yet to encounter the Space Gem, he had already grasped the concept and essence of space through his encounters with time.
There exists a reason for this, as the six Infinity Stones can be traced back to a common source and possess an arcane interconnection.
It is even claimed that once all six Infinity Stones are assembled, the very fabric of the universe can be molded.
The six Infinity Stones are as follows: the Time Gem, Space Gem, Power Gem, Mind Gem, Soul Gem, and Reality Gem.
These six gems hold the power to lay waste to the world.
The Time Gem governs time, enabling the manipulation of its flow, allowing one's perception of time to traverse a span of 100,000 years in an instant.
The Space Gem possesses the ability to effortlessly create portals and travel anywhere.
Each of the other gems also possesses its own distinct characteristics, all of which harbor unstoppable and terrifying powers.
However, Leon did not become enthralled by the might of the Time Gem; instead, he returned it to the Ancient One after his observations.
The Ancient One gazed deeply into Leon's expression, as if she had detected some changes within his being, but she couldn't discern the specific nature of those changes.
Taking the Time Gem and resealing it within the Eye of Agamotto, the Ancient One breathed a sigh of relief.
In truth, she had taken a gamble as well. She didn't fully trust Leon because she couldn't see through him.
Fortunately, Leon did not disappoint her.
Thus, the Ancient One smiled once more, placed the Eye of Agamotto back on the shelf, and turned towards the rows of bookshelves that Leon had indicated, saying, "These are the books of magic I have collected from around the world throughout the years. Would you like to peruse them? I also want to test your magical capabilities. Come along with me."
Saying this, the Ancient One took him and walked toward those bookshelves.
Meanwhile, Leon never glanced back at the Eye of Agamotto or the Time Gem. He had already obtained what he desired and was no longer interested in the Time Gem.
After all, he was capable of doing everything the Time Gem could do, and even better.
So, what purpose did the Time Gem serve?
Why not simply destroy it, granting him sole control over the power of time?
The Ancient One could never have fathomed the perilous nature of Leon's current thoughts.
Logically, only the power of the Infinity Stones can destroy the Infinity Stones.
But to Leon, it was inconsequential.
What's the harm in consuming it himself? After all, he has quite the appetite...
Following the Ancient One to the rows of bookshelves.
Leon turned his head and surveyed his surroundings, discovering the vast array of comprehensive books present. They ranged from ancient conjuring magic tricks from the East to modern Western magic, even encompassing music scores and training methods of snake charmers in the past, along with rope ladders.
Yet, all of these were of no consequence. The Ancient One did not intend for Leon to delve into such topics. Instead, she produced an authentic book of magic and handed it to Leon.
"This is an introductory guide. Take a look. It details how to find inner calm and unlock your true potential," the Ancient One stated firmly.
However, Leon set down the book and let out a sigh.
Perplexed, the Ancient One inquired, "What's the matter?"
Leon shook his head. "If I were to unleash my full potential, it would be terrifying and would bring about the destruction of the world."
The Ancient One's mouth dropped open as she stared at the man speaking such audacious words before her.
Yet, it was the truth.
"Alright, let's first test whether you possess any magical capabilities, and then I'll decide whether to continue investing time in your training," the Ancient One said, astonished yet with a hint of jest in her voice.
Leon nonchalantly shrugged, curious to see how the Ancient One would assess his magical prowess.
As a result, the Ancient One retrieved a Sling Ring and handed it to Leon. It was the very same Sling Ring she had taken off before.
"Try to focus on a place you've been to or the place you desire to go the most, and then draw a circle in front of you," the Ancient One instructed Leon.
Leon placed the index and middle fingers of his left hand within the Sling Ring, raised his right hand, and followed the Ancient One's guidance, drawing a circle before him while contemplating the place he yearned to visit.
Gradually, a golden circle materialized in front of Leon, revealing a peculiar space.
He beheld a planet in ruins, devastated and crumbling.
What the? Isn't it Krypton?
But shouldn't that be within the DC Universe?
