Chapter 18

Neil Pov:

Today has been… a day. We just were taking a night walk like we have been for the past two days and Zion insisted we go check out an object by the outskirts of the tent town. I am impressed by the towns progress, my guess is that the magic or something can help speed up construction. Anyway it was roughly midnight when my view of the object was blocked by a body. I didn't even have time to realize that it was one of the owners of the town before I feel a sharp pressure at my throat. I try to deescalate the situation, but it didn't seem to be working. On top of this… whole thing, Zion is acting weird; he's seemingly barely getting out his sentences. Along with that the object was pressed harder into my throat and the person holding me captive is asking who sent us.

Gladly the sword at my neck was dropped and the person holding me let go. When I refocused my vision in front of me was first Zion, holding the sword to my former captor. In front of him were Rashid and Zen. I see the person's eyes widen in shock the restore to the calm look as she said "Is he… the dungeon host?"

Now I'm confused. "Uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh… yes we are…?"

"We…? From what I know dungeon only have one host… Ugh you know what that's not the point. Why are yo… No, no, you know what if you don't want to ya' know get revenge for threatening your life thing, let's talk when I can actually comprehend what i'm saying."

"Ooook, if you promise not to do… that… again. I think we can talk, y-eah. But we're going to meet at the entrance of the dungeon, please." I say

"Does noon work?"

"Yep"
