I Will Always Protect You

As Lei XInyi saw Li Yuan she threw herself at him and started sobbing and hiccupping on his chest and circled her arms around his waist a little too intimately, "L…. Li Yuan, everyone is so….sniff…..bad. I jus….Just wanted to see y… You bef…before I left. I….I will ne….never come back….sob sob"

Jiang Qinqin and Chen Shu were shocked. Just who was this girl. Since when CEO Li permit people to call him with his initial and why was the girl complaining like a lover. Was she… No, no! She can't be.

Rubbing her by her waist, he was caressing her hairs but hearing her, he lost his calm. He liked her depending on him. He liked her leaning on him, he felt authoritative when she leaned on him for protection.

But he couldn't even protect her on his own territory! The thought infuriated him to no ends. At the moment the whole room turned ice cold as Li Yuan looked at his Assistant and growled, "Who did this, I want each and everyone name."

Lei Xinyi who was in Li Yuan's arm, started shaking from fear and tried to pull away but as Li Yuan felt her pulling away he pushed her even closer in his embrace. Lei Xinyi felt scared for her life, the aura the man was emanating was murderous.

Assistant Ji was sweating hard his Boss hardly ever lost his temper but when he did, he spared none and caused atrocities till his demon calmed. Jiang Qinqin and Chen Shu dropped on their knees begging and Fan Bingbing was shivering from fright in a corner.

Lei Xinyi had the urge to smirk but was too afraid to try anything but she had to do something she couldn't let him deal with them, They were hers to torture.

Tugging on Li Yuan sleeves she got the attention of Li Yuan who was glaring as an Emperor going to declare the orders for cutting off their heads.

As Li Yuan looked at Lei Xinyi whose cries had subsided, the look in his softened, she whispered that only Li Yuan could hear her, "Li Yuan, I..I don't want this…" As she let those words out the temperature dropped around them further and the look in Li Yuan eyed hardened.

She still want to act like a white lotus in front of him. He wanted her to drop her façade in front of him by her own and to trust him. But she still want to act! She didn't trust him to let herself loose! Li yuan felt his temper further flare.

As Lei Xinyi felt the atmosphere getting further tense and Li Yuan embrace getting hurtful, she abruptly cupped his face with her shaking hands and corrected in a whisper, "D..Don't misunderstand. I want to fight for myself o..on my own. I don't want you to eliminate all my problems I..I want to solve them."

For a moment the look in Li Yuan softened then again hardened, then he spoke with rage, and the whole secretariat heard him, "Look what they did to you! Is this how you are fighting for yourself. What if the next time they do something even worse…."

"You will save me. As you did now….." Lei Xinyi cut him off. She herself didn't know where this came from but she abruptly averted her eyes after saying that and tried retracted her hand from his face.

Li Yuan held her retracting hands on his face forcing her to look at him, "….Right. I will always protect you." He promised.

His promise exploded something inside of Lei Xinyi. She had always lived by herself, suffered alone. This was foreign. She felt real tears building in her eyes but averted her eyes and closed her heart to this foreign emotion.

This was not what he was saying for Lei Xinyi, he meant it for his fiancé Lu Xinyi. She wanted to be selfish for this moment and feel this warmth but she knew better than to fool herself.

'I am in his embrace only because he doesn't know what I am. If he knew...….' She thought bitterly.

Sliding his hand under Lei Xinyi knees he picked her up princess style. Lei Xinyi held his neck tightly which brought her closer to him but she shyly looked away.

Looking at Assistant Ji Li Yuan said in a stern voice, "Whoever was involved cut their year bonus and demote them. And send them the warning that they have offended the future Mrs. Li. Delete the post and ask the poster to reveal the truth with apology to my lover and submit resignation before lunch time."

Saying that he didn't stay to see his employs shocked faces but headed to his private elevator. All the while Lei Xinyi looked at him with a shocked face.

When they were in the elevator Lei Xinyi patted his face with her one hand while the other was still on his neck. Li yuan looked at her and she started, "About what you said…."

Looking at her being shy and conserved Li Yuan's mood significantly improved and he smirked and let out a laugh, "Lu Xinyi, forget about it. It was only for them to take the warning seriously."

Nodding her head in understanding, she let out a sigh of relief, "Yeah…. You really scared me…. I..I mean we didn't establish all that till now."

Li Yuan inched her upward and held her closer. As Lie Xinyi realized their closeness, she started feeling fidgety, "Li..Li Yuan, I..I am not that hurt. Please put me down anybody will see us."

Li Yuan smirked and inched his face even closer to her face that their lips were only an inch away. He said in a husky voice all the while looking at her cherry red lips, "What is that you don't want them to see? Hmm? Are we doing something they should not see?"

Lei Xinyi had never felt shy but he was making her feel strange things. Feeling her cheeks reddening she averted her eyes, "L…Li Yuan, what are you saying?! Put me down, it will get... awkward and I can walk."
