The Elf Prince

Third Person POV

"Elf Sage?!"

All the elves huddled together out of fear. Lucy knew of the Elf Sage but she doesn't truly understand how powerful he was.

A strong [Aura] came crashing down onto all the elves. It was so powerful that the elves spat out blood instantly! The [Aura] was followed by a animal like roar. The entire area of the garden had frozen over.

[Eternal Wasteland]

This was one of the Elf Sage's most famous spell. The spell released all the stored up mana the user has through their feet. With every step taken, the death ice spreads, killing and freezing all plant life, animal life and human life in the area. The Elf Sage was different though.

The ice began from where the three men from earlier were standing. It rapidly spread throughout the garden. Lucy had grabbed Katherine and was holding onto her. She didn't know why but she felt that the ice would kill her if it touched her. These suspicions were confirmed when the other elves screamed and tried to run away.

Lucy got up as quickly as she could while holding Katherine. Even though she got up in time, the ice was less than a yard away from her.

'Oh no!!! I don't think I'll make it!!' She couldn't bring Katherine down with her, she prepared to launch Katherine away using a wind spell but it was to late, or so she thought.

The ice didn't touch her but actually went around her, closing in on the elves instead. Lucy only realized it when she heard their terrified screams.

"Nooo! Please forgive us!!!"

"We were only following orders!!!"

When the ice touched them, their bodies instantly froze, leaving only their heads untouched. Lucy fell down, shocked by the ice magic.

She has never been to the two human empires but within the Nova Kingdom and the Beast Kingdom, there were no users with an evolved affinity. She was in awe of how beautiful yet dangerous it was.

All of a sudden, a person with a mask appeared in front of the five elves. The person glanced at Lucy and Katherine before putting his attention on the elves.

"What have I said huh?! I didn't die thousands of years ago for you useless shits to continue doing this?!"

The presumed Elf Sage began questioning the elves actions. The leader of the group tried to explain themselves. "But sir. No one has heard from you in nearly 50,000 years? We all thought you finally passed on!"

The Sage waves his hands and the leader suddenly exploded, leaving behind just his head that rolled not to far from where they were.

The other four couldn't take their eyes off their leaders head. They didn't want to be the next one.

Lucy was also taken aback. 'Explosion Magic! He really is the Sage!' The history books in the Nova Kingdom spoke of the Elf Sage. How he used his ice magic to create flying birds, he would send them towards his enemies and use his Explosion Magic when the enemies guards were down.

"Now, tell me why you are doing this. I told you to touch any humans until the next Sage appeared!!!" The Sage yelled at the elves. They were all to frightened to answer. They knew what the Sage was speaking about.

50,000 years ago, the Elf Sage died. He was loved by many, hailed as the father of all elves. Many appeared at his funeral, beast, fallen dragons, and humans alike all came together to celebrate his life. But the funeral wasn't a regular one. His spirit had suddenly appeared during his funeral. The spirit spoke of a time in the future where humans will grow to dominate the world. How elves will become nothing more than an afterthought for humanity. Humanity will even look down on them but he had begged his elven brothers and sisters to not retaliate. They will only take action when the Sage was reborn again.

"Enough. You will be all punished for breaking your promise."

"Wait!"

With a snap of his fingers three of the remaining four exploded. The last elf left was the one that tried grabbing Katherine earlier in the evening.

That elf was surprised. He thought he was dead too.

"Why?… why did you leave me alive my Lord?" He was frightened now. No matter what, he will live survive this now that there was a chance.

The Elf Sage retracted the ice from the elf. Returning his body back to normal. The elf took a moment before he could move again.

The Elf Sage then tightened his [Aura's] grip on the elf, causing the elf to cough up more blood.

*bloody coughing noises*

"Listen closely boy. Tell whoever sent your group that they will pay for this. They will pay for going against my words!" He then picked him up using wind magic, aimed him towards the palace and sent him flying in that direction.

Lucy and Katherine were just sitting there, in awe of what they both just saw. Not only did they witness the legendary Elf Sage who saved the elves but they got to witness his evolved elemental affinities.

The Sage approached them, offering his hand to help them up. They both took it and struggled up. Lucy bowed and thanked him.

"Thank you very much sir. Without you who knows what would of happened to us!" Katherine followed Lucy's example.

"Thank you sir! You saved me and Auntie!"

Even with the mask, Lucy and Katherine could hear a smile form. "You two are welcomed. Do not worry, no one should be coming for you now. Please return to that party."

The Sage heals the two of them and restores their clothes back to it's original appearance. He then just disappeared before Lucy and Katherine could say anything.

"Let's go back Katherine." As happy as she was to see the legendary Elf Sage, she was also hit by reality. She was far to weak. She needed to train immediately. The two girls went back inside, leaving the icy garden as it was.

Prince Deios POV

I, Prince Deios, am the prince and heir of the Elf Kingdom. 10 years ago, I was to meet my wife to be, the princess of the Draco Kingdom, Liza Draco. However, her father, Charred Draco told me that she was kidnapped but said I shouldn't worry, someone was already bringing her back. I knew the King's words could be trusted so I went about my day.

When Liza finally returned, I met her as soon as I could.

"My dear Liza, my name is Prince Deios, your future husband." She followed the procedure all princesses would do but I could see it. She had no interest in me.

I spoke with her for days after she returned but all she could speak about was the human that saved her.

ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS! ATLAS!

'How dare you dirty human corrupt my wife!!'

My advisor, a family friend and my father's childhood friend, Loki, said I could do something about it.

"Prince Deios. If you fear that the young Miss will only think of this human then why not sell him off? That way he won't interfere with you."

"You're a genius Loki!!" That's when I hatched a plan to sell that disgusting human. I want have to worry about him ever again.

Even after selling him off, Liza still ignored me. Even her bitch mother, my aunt won't let me see her. Fine, even if they hide her from me it won't matter. I will get my hands on her because of that peace treaty.

I spent the next few years training. Working to grow stronger. I had everything as a prince. Money, power, women. It didn't matter, everything was handed to me. My mother had already given the throne to me so I had complete control over the kingdom. It just wasn't official until after the Salvis Event.

Finally, the year had came. The year of the Salvis. I would take this chance to show Liza who she was getting married to. But by some fate, I saw her, Princess Eva. She had entered the city three days before the Salvis. I want her. Years ago, I learned that she had been sold off as a slave. I tried searching for her and buying her but she had already been taken away. No matter how much man power I used, I could never find her.

Now she was in front of me! I need to make her mine. I can't marry her but she will make a great concubine.

I was going to approach her but then I sensed something. That human Atlas! I don't understand how his mana could be lingering around them like that. The only way is if he had made a contract with a spirit and the spirit was watching over them. But that's not possible! Spirits don't make contracts with humans.

Plus he should be a slave still. I should investigate the group, especially those human girls. The mana is stronger near them.

Not even a day later, King Charred brought me a gift. He told me that it was Atlas! The boy who saved Liza all those years ago!

That fucken bastard returned huh?! I'll lock him up and beat his ass! He's the reason Liza been ignoring me all these years! Before I can though I should see if he has any element affinities.

HAHAHA! He doesn't have a single elemental affinity! There's no reason to even beat him. He can just die a pathetic death during the Salvis. That would be far better than beating him to death myself.

Night of the Party, two days before the Salvis

"Where are they?!" I threw my glass of wine at the wall. Those damn useless assholes! They were to kidnap those two humans that appeared alongside Princess Eva! This is taking to long!

Loki was standing by. He was just listening to me complain. He didn't even react to me throwing the wine glass.

"Dear Prince. Please try to relax. Why do you want those two so much?"

"I need them! With them I can win over Eva!!"

I suddenly felt Loki's [Aura].

"Focus boy. Remember that stuff can come later. We need to finish what we started!"

This bastard.

"Fine! Let's just forget about them for now. What is that plan you came up with? We are going to kill all the leaders after the Salvis right?"

Loki retracted his [Aura]. He started acting like an old man again.

"Correct Prince! That plan is still going to happen. Once you win the Salvis Event, your mother will officially crown you as the new king! Then you will immediately declare war on humanity! I will have the right people standing near all the different kingdom leaders, once you declare war, they will immediately kill them. Remember my dear prince! We are doing this to save those enslaved elves."

'Not only will I become king, I will do what the Elf Sage, my father, couldn't do. I will conquer all the lands and destroy the filthy humans who dare to touch my people!' However, those words father's spirit spoke of before he completely disappeared.

"But what about my father? Those words of warning. He warned us about not touching the humans until the Sage was reborn?"

"Don't be a fool Prince! You will prove to everyone tomorrow that you are the Sage! Once you win the Salvis, I'm sure the final spirit will make a contract with you!"

Right! I am the one that will bring change to the elven race.

There came a loud knock at my door.

"Prince!! We have a problem!!!"

"Come in!" The person who came in was one of the people I tasked with kidnapping those human friend me of Princess Eva.

"Prince! The Elf Sage is back!!!"

I glance at Loki. He also showed a hint of fear. Is father's spirit that strong? There's no possibility that he lingered around for that long.
