Gao Wei then gave a troubled look at Cao Shu Yu as he proceeded to explain that the job they have had the last few months had been to search for a spy that has infiltrated the palace. 

"So, that's why you both got so angry and worried when Xue'er went by herself to visit Imperial Consort Xian. You were not scared of her harming her exactly, but of her using Xue'er for her ulterior motives."
