"Is a reason needed for this son to visit his own mother?" The crown prince smiled back.

Xiao Tao had seen the crown prince before, but this was Chen Xue'er's first time meeting the prince. She did not know that the prince already knew who she was.

"Well, it seems that today is a merry day. I've got two guests and my son decided to see me." 

Chen Xue'er wanted to get out of Imperial Consort Xian's manor right away. She had thought that it was just visiting the consort, but it turned out that everyone had decided to appear there. The only person who was missing was the emperor. 

"Son, please, sit beside me." Imperial Consort Xian gestured the chair beside her which was also beside Chen Xue'er. 

Chen Xue'er was getting nervous since the prince had not taken his eyes off her. 

"Did he recognized me?" Chen Xue'er was nervous. The palm of her hands were sweating and she was trying to wipe it dry with her sleeves.
