Lyle silently watched the figure outside through the window. Raizel was sitting cross-legged before a stone steel. He narrowed his eyes slightly. No, that was probably a memorial tablet.
Lyle's fingers traced his facial outline as he pondered.
Raizel's thumbs, index fingers and little fingers were pointed towards each other while the middle finger wrapped around the ring finger of the other hand. It was the Lion Seal of the Buddhist Dao.
His eyes were closed as he chanted sutras. He has been chanting for over three hours and yet his back stood straight, he never slouched.
His voice was very low and Lyle could not understand the words that left Raizel's mouth but it was like proclamations of the sutra was right next to his ears. Like a gentle rain, cleansing one's heart and mind, washing away all the worries and troubles. It was as though the weight that weighed down on his heart had instantly been moved away.
It was a wonderful feeling, too bad it did not last.
